'TWISTED CIRCLES' is the second full length romance book in Claire Contreras 'Secret Society' series. This can be read as a standalone. Spoken in 'Dual Perspectives.'
Like the first book we're thrust back in the same environment where we found ourselves in the first book, and like beforehand mystery yet again surrounds this establishment, another person has been reported missing, now it's up to one girl to go in as someone else and uncover the truth.
Eva Guerra has no apparent memory of what happened to her a few days ago, leaving her confused and bewildered, but is determined to find out exactly what happened to her. People close to her are only to quick to give her detailed accounts of where she'd been and what she'd been doing. All she recalls was waking up at the institute, walking out, and the next thing she'd been picked up by the cops and taken to the station to be interrogated, having no idea why. But ask her what her job was and she could remember that she's a teachers assistant at a small parish school whilst studying her elementary education.
Whilst there they show her a picture, which looks like her but isn't her, and it's then she learns that she has a twin sister, Stella who has gone missing. Eva's mission is to take Stella's place in the Manor.
Once Eva steps foot on Ellis University things start getting interesting. She's first introduced to Adam whose the president of the 'Swords,' and her sponsor. Nothing is as it seems. Everyone has a role to play, everyone is keeping secrets, and we've got a front row seat as we watch it all unfold. Who can she trust? Whose telling the truth?
The 'Swords' is a historically male driven society, very few woman are actually chosen, but to join like many before her she has to survive the initiation.
This was such an intricate tale, the plot kept me intrigued, the anticipation of uncovering facts and fiction had me speeding through the pages, uncovering buried truths a century old had me enjoying this ride the author put me on.

'BREATHE ME' is the first full length romance novel in C.R. Jane's and Ivy Fox's duet. Get ready to meet Valentina, and best friends Carter, Logan, and Qauid.
This is my first time reading anything by C.R. Jane, co writing with Ivy Fox, and I can honestly say that these two meshed perfectly together that you truly can't tell where one starts and the other begins. This flits from past to present just so flawlessly.
Carter: The soul of their group, the lone wolf, the brooding quiet boy, who prefers to se the world through the lens of his camera. The listener rather than the speaker.
Quad: Was the very pulse which kept the group together as a unit, the confident one, the jokester who always brought the light into any situation.
Logan: Was the heart of their little group the golden boy, the brains, the nurturer.
I inhaled this, devoured it, swooned during it, loved it!!
Straight away I fell under these authors spells with their magical words and went head and heart into a tailspin of feels. This type of burn hurts so bad but oh so good at the same time as you fall for their unconventional love story which started at the age of twelve when each of these boys fell for the new girl in their neighbourhood. Breathe Me was deeply compelling, a beautifully written story of love, and second chances.
I loved each and everyone of these characters. Though one slightly stood above the rest for me, and that was the broody, silent broken boy.
This was such a profound emotional story. Hours/days after closing off that last page it's still there lingering in the background not letting its hooks out of me. Reading this my emotions were like a yoyo out of control, everything these authors threw into this book, I felt, and I loved every moment of it.
A whole month until the next book, a whole month of needing to know how it’s all going to end, and still those unanswered questions linger, why did she walk away all those years ago? Why wait ten years, when it’s too late?

Seriously if you've not read 'Sea of Ruin' it fast became a 2020 favourite of mine! It was dark, gritty, and boy did it tick my boxes! Highly recommend!!
Oh how I wish this was included where it was rightfully meant to be in ‘Sea of Ruin,’ just so it flowed better, but I am glad I got to see how they officially met, even though it was only a short taste of all the goodness we got to read in sea of ruin. ...more
'LIAR' is the second full length book in Tate James' 'Madison Kate' series. It picks up where the first book left off.
Oh how I loved the first book, so when this dropped on my kindle, life was made!!
It's been two full weeks since Halloween since Madison had crashed the boys car she'd stolen that night, it's also the night she was brutally attacked. It's also that very same night where she accused the boys of despicable things. But it's these same boys (Archer, Kody & Steele) who picked her up off the floor and dropped her off at the hospital all worried out of their minds.
Until she was released. But MK doesn't make it easy for these boys, as only she can, she keeps them on their toes. Taunting them, teasing them, taming them.
Back at home, back at school, life slowly goes back to normal. Or so I thought.
Just when your lulled into a false sense of security when out of nowhere things started heating up. More drama More secrets More heat More angst More threats
That person or persons is still out there after MK, things still turn up in the mail, but they also take things a wee bit further, so it's still a cat and mouse game to find out whose behind it all.
The author undoubtably clicked it up a notch with this one, and definitely has your mind in a tailspin as more lies are left dangling at MK's feet and we're left floundering trying to work out who the puppet master was as we try and piece the puzzle pieces together.
Along with MK I didn't know who to trust, I didn't know who was lying, I didn't know what ulterior motives they all had, who was pulling the strings?
This author has such a magical way with words, everything she writes turns into pure gold, Undeniably unique, unquestionably unprecedented. She keeps us on our toes, twists and turns have us guessing throughout, making us fall in love with her characters, all falling down the rabbit hole chasing that next high only her books can give us.
My heart rate spiked up, my eyes read faster than they had ever done before, my palms got clammy, my foot starting tapping AND THEN...I'd reached the end...

'TITAN' is the first full length book in new to me author's Shantel Tessier's 'Dark Kings' series. This story focuses on Emilee and Titan, (Titan is one of the Dark King's)
What a complex tantalising story this one turned out to be, though I was expecting it to be a little bit darker than it was I was still engrossed with the story throughout. The twisty little twist and turns this threw up had me rejoicing with how blindsided I was, I never saw them coming!!
From start to finish I loved everything this author threw at me. And I really can't wait to read more of these guys stories.
So we have the four guys which make up the 'Dark King's they all go way back. They were trained to take over this world from a young age and were prepared with all it entailed.
Emilee has been living in New York the last few years but has had to come home due to the death of her father, this is the catalyst which set the ball rolling into unknown territory. Like a domino effect her world started crumbling down around her feet. Her mother is also on deaths bed, cancer has got its claws into her, so Emilee has the world on her shoulders with no one to lean on. To make it even more unbearable she learns that she's been left nothing, everything her father owned has been handed over to his business partner, right down to the house her mother is living in.
Now she's at the mercy of George her father's business partner. Now he's got a proposition for Emilee, if she does what he's demanding he'll pay for her mother's care....more

'ANIMAL' is the first book in Ker Dukey's 'Royal Bastards MC' series. Spoken in 'Dual Perspectives.' This is Alec & Drew's story.
Seeing that this author was jumping into the MC world again I jumped on the chance to read this, this genre above all else used to be my go to when I needed a dark fix.
This is the type of genre where the author can go all out and unleash as much darkness on her readers as possible, and that was where my expectations were running high, sadly this fell a wee bit flat for me in that respect. It would give my taste buds a little taste before disappearing out of reach, so I only got a wee bit of a tease, which is reflected in my rating. I craved the club life grit, I needed the darkness to bring this MC read alive.
But other than that I did enjoy these two biker brats and their story. From an early age these two knew they had a unique special bond, and followed through right up to their teenage years when they became each others everything.
Until a situation arises within the club and drew walks away from the boy she loves and the club she called home.
Child hood friends to lovers are my kryptonite, bring in the MC Club and it just gave it that unique edge to the story. Throw in a few twists and turns which the author is the queen when blindsiding us readers and I was lapping it up. It is a short read, but an enjoyable read too.
Not gonna lie, I'd tried getting into this but only a few chapters in I struggled to get into it, so I put it aside, picked it up again one day later and I’m so freaking glad I gave this another chance! That second chance is exactly what this book needed because I ended up inhaling this book and like others before me I fell under this authors spell.
If you’re after something unique, with a strong heroine, two love interests, then look no further than Birdy.
Birdy has only had two love interests in her life, the first one nearly broke her, the second one is in the process of fixing her. But to understand this we need to go back.
Meet Benita Adriana Villanueva, She prefers to go by Benni, her street name is Birdy or la Jefa, she's a twenty eight year old illegal Cuban immigrant. She works for Angel and they also have a long distance no strings attached sexual arrangement. Other than business she knows absolutely nothing else about him. He was the man that recruited her. He owns the Upper echelon, which is an international highly covert organisation.
Out of the blue he wants to switch things up and make her his permanently. But just when she's going to give him her answer she's arrested for trafficking a large quantity of drugs. Now she's going down for seven years because of him. She'll be thirty five when she's released.
It's here whilst under lock and key where she meets CO Balla. He wants her as soon as his eyes clap on her, he knows it's wrong, it's not long until things essculate with stolen glances, notes exchanged, whispered calls, it's all going to thrown us into a forbidden love that's going to spiral out of control if they get caught. He could lose everything and she could get more time.
The reason why this didn't get 5 stars from me (and please don't shoot me) is that some interactions between Hero:1 and Birdy is in Spanish a majority have translations but not all do which kind of took it away from me because I do not understand Spanish at all. But I do believe the book needed their native tongue incorporated within the storyline, I just wish all were broken down into english. That was my only negative with this book. Other than that this for me would've been a five star read for sure..

5+++ THE SPOILED PRINCESS AND THE BROKEN PRINCE STARS
'FRAUD' is the second full length New Adult | Romance book in Lily White's 'Antihero Inferno' series. It picks up where the previous book left off. Spoken in 'dual perspectives.'
“fraud; noun A person who intends to deceive others”
Gabriel Dane aka Fraud is the monster who has tormented Ivy since they were at the age of nine, you see she witnessed something he never wanted anyone to see, let alone get out, so she's been on his sh#tlist ever since.
In highschool Ivy needed something swept under the rug she sought Tanner out asking for a favour, now ten years later he's calling in that favour. And now the inferno boys are coming out to play, and she's under Gabe's radar again and he's going to destroy her.
It's a long time to sit on a ticking time bomb, waiting for it to explode. Unfortunately, now the countdown has reached those final numbers, and the force of the blast will tear me to shreds.
This author years ago became one of my unicorn writers, one that no matter what she wrote I would read it!! So needless to say that this series became one I fell in love with from the get go.
I give up!! I really do!! How can I put into words how good this book was, it won't do this book any justice, this book, this series, has gone beyond my expectations, Fraud gave me everything I ever could've asked for, Lily White has just gone from strength to strength and taking us readers hostage.
I have never snort laughed so much as I have reading this book, their antics are priceless! Like a game of chess, each trying to out wit, out play the other. A crazy game of cat and mouse. This is us, it’s what we do. The best kind of whiplash. The best kind of laughs. The best kind of feels..It’s so funny watching it all unfold!
When these two teamed up and put Tanner in his place! Perfection! I had tears of laughter pouring down my face! Priceless! Enemies to lovers is one of my most favourite tropes and Lily delivered this Perfectly. Apart I loved these two characters but together they were dynamite!! God I adore this authors words, unique isn't in her arsenal of words because she just obliterates it, each and every time. She writes to the beat of her own drum, and I'm along for the ride!! I can't get enough of this series!! I am a woman obsessed!!
Mention DARK and I'm on it!! My heart needs a little darkness in it to survive!! And even though this wasn't as dark a book as I've read it was dark enough to satisfy me. I read this in record time, inhaled it, devoured all the words and fell in love with our captives.
Meet our two captives, Anya and Ezra, stolen for their dancing talents, and both now owned by Nikolai. Thrown together in a world neither of them asked for, no escape in sight.
There are wolves in the forest. He feeds them, draws them closer to the manor. Even if that wasn't a concern, the forest stretches for god knows how far, and it's dense. Overwhelming and disorientating.
Anya has been with Nikolai Mikhailov for three years just after her twenty-first birthday, she was stolen, raped and beaten into submission. I've endured untold pain and punishment at his hands for years. No light in her darkness, cold and beaten down with all she has endured until Ezra breaks down her walls. And slowly love seeps in. They are walking a dangerous path as there is no guarantee of a tomorrow for either of them.
Ezra came into my life with warmth and light and truth, even when I didn't know I was living in lies.
This was so cleverly executed, refreshing, unique in so many ways, the fact that it was unputdownable makes this an easy 5 star read. It does end on a cliffy which definitely has me craving for the next book.

'FIFTH A FURY' is the last and final, dark romance book in Pepper Winter's 'Goddess Isles' series. It picks up where the fourth book left off. Spoken in Dual Perspectives.
Because of how the pervious book ended this review is going to be on the short side of things because how the previous book left off you need to go into this one BLIND!!
This series became one of my favourites, what started off as dark and gritty, turned into something beautiful and captivating, it's beyond unique and a series which I highly recommend.
I tiptoed into this, part of me didn't want to read it, knowing that the end would approach quicker if I did, but also knowing that I couldn't put off the inevitable any longer, so with bated breath I went into this, knowing I would get my heart ripped to shreds, knowing that the author would throw everything she could at me to wrap up the last book within this series!! Knowing that this series would be a hard series to top.
That time is coming to get your binge on ladies because this series is complete!! And what a series it is, it's dark and gritty, it's mayhem and murder, it's lies and deceit, and it's love taking shape in its truest form. The author took us on yet another unique, all consuming journey, and I for one can't wait to see what she's got up her sleeve next!!
Pepper Winters always goes above and beyond to give us something unique and that's a true testament to this series, it's like nothing I've read before, you can't compare it to anything.
This book was everything! Amazing!! Outstanding!! All-Consuming, I Loved everything about it!!
First it was the author shouting that she had a new series coming out, then it was the cover and the synopsis, and then my anticipation levels sky rocketed because this is one of my unicorn authors. As soon as this arrived on my kindle. Life was put on hold!!
The beginning of this book was everything, this laid the perfect foundation of their blossoming friendship, the day these two met it was Violet's thirteenth birthday. She was daydreaming about a guy she's had a crush on forever, until a boy appears in her backyard seemingly appearing out of thin air. She takes note of his unkempt attire and upon closer scrutiny she can't help but notice how hungry he appeared to be, it's then she invites him in and shares her birthday cake with him. This act of kindness solidifies such a unique bond between the two. They become fast friends.
So many emotions, books like this are my kryptonite, I chase that high, I crave those lows, I loved those roller coaster feels that this book evoked. And that was only the first part of their story. A bond like no other is formed between the two.
He's the boy who has an unstable home life, the boy that climbs in her bedroom window night after night, she's the girl that cares for him, nurtures him, she's the girl that saves him.
She's the girl who has her life mapped out for her, becoming a doctor is all she's ever dreamed about. He's the boy who hides his love in his lyrics, an impossible dream of making it big so that he can take care of his mother.
Now four years later..Age seventeen This is where things start to change out of their control. Slowly they start to drift apart, living separate lives, interacting with different people. Sharing new experiences with others.
So many missed opportunities, so many obstacles that stood in their way.
Miller wasn't from a wealthy family since it was just him and his mum and life was an uphill battle, this resulted in Miller getting bullied from one certain mean boy at school, but when two new boys enter the fold (Holden and Ronan) and have Miller's back my heart was near to bursting. God how I loved these two boys!!
The author wrapped this one up perfectly, it was so much more than a rocker romance book, this book took me by surprise, the highs and lows made for such an emotional angst packed romance read.
LITTLE HOODLUM: is the second full length forbidden friends to romance book in the series 'Hood River Hoodlums', by K. Webster.
LITTLE HOODLUM: is the second full length forbidden friends to romance book in the series 'Hood River Hoodlums', by K. Webster. This picked up right where the previous book left off. Spoken in 'Dual Perspectives.'
Guys if you've not read 'Hood River Rat' I recommend it!! It's the first book in this series!! And it's best to be read before jumping in on this one. It's amazing!! It's MM and is just so damn good, it's written so well and you come away with a heart so full and bursting.
You've already met these two characters within the first book, so it's only right that we get Jordy Martinez and Roux Hirsch's story. She's Roan's little sister, the one they all protect. They call me litle Hoodlum, but I'm not so little anymore. Jordy would protect her with his life and that's what he literally did. Now three years later he's back, but he never expects her to be so grown up, so out of his league, so beautiful, with a forbidden price tag on her forehead. She's his best friend's little sister.
But living under their roof until he can get back on his feet, a man can only handle temptation to a certain degree. It gets hot, it takes their chemistry to a whole new level, but being only seventeen could land his ass back in jail. It's a waiting game until she's legal.
If Jordy would give me the time of day. I'd let him do whatever he wanted to me. With Jordy, it feels safe. Comfortable. Like home.
She's mixed up with a bad group of guys. They run the town. Everyone is scared of them. They are bad to the bone..
Can Jordy save her this time again? Or is it going to be too late?
WOW! This was addictive, heartfelt, a page turner of epic proportions! This was like a warm blanket on a cold winters night wrapped around me as it gripped me with all the feels!
It’s all consuming, it’s gritty, it’s raw, it’s real, this took me on such a profound ride which I wasn’t expecting. I was wrapped up in a false sense of security when BAM things changed within a blink of an eye, heart racing, hope was my only companion as I raced to the finish line to see how the author was going to wrap it all up! And it was wrapped up in one heart pounding cliffy.
#MNGIRL: is the first full length book in 'new to me author' A.M. Brooks's 'Midwest Boys' series. Spoken in 'Dual Perspectives.
WOW!! This lulled me into such a false sense of security as I sat there reading about Saylor's sad turnout for her seventeenth birthday, a night which should've been a night of celebration turned out to be a girls worst nightmare.
Her family is being investigated by some of New York's finest criminal investigators in the country all leading back to her father who had been laundering money through his company. An act that had destroyed so many lives including his own family. Leaving them alone to defend for themselves when the wolves come knocking at the door..
Split up from her mother and sister Saylor has been thrown into the boondocks of a town with a population of over seven hundred.
New school, new name, new hair, new home, new rules, new threats..This book pretty much had it all..
Don't stand out..Stay under the radar..And under no circumstances contact anyone from your previous life.
A school run by three guys, but these three boys (Ciaran, Silas and Kai) are nothing like you've come across before in books, these guys are a whole new kettle of fish. The school, the township is their playground, they rule and look over and protect with an iron fist.
Because of Saylor's dads wrong doings Saylor is on their sh#tlist. They don't want her here in their town. They want her gone..But there's more to this story than meets the eye. She's under Mat's protection, living under the same roof as Ciaron, lines between the two will become blurred.
As Saylor tries to navigate her new school and stay under the radar she finds herself struggling when she feels such a gravitational pull every time Ciaron is in the same room as her.
They can act sweet as pie to your grandma then turn around and be a deadly force to an enemy and that's why we call them the good ol'Midwest boys.
That was the turning point where everything in her life changed. Saylor's life was like riding a rollercoaster, from good to bad, to extremely bad again. Twists and turns and stomach curdling moments, had me glued to my ipad. I read this at record speeds, once started I couldn't put it down. This ticked so many boxes, and then some.
This took unique to a whole new level, going into this I never knew what to expect, twists and turns had my head spinning, hands clammy, heart pounding as I read where Saylor's life took a nose dive and everything changed within a blink of an eye. Thrown into a dark, gritty, tailspin that I did not see coming at me which left reeling in its destruction.
This book comes highly recommended by yours truly. get your one click on guys you won't regret it..

Welcome to 'Wolf Hall Academy' which is located in New Hampshire, a place which isn't a regular school housing run of the mill regular kids, it's where military bred kids and high profile workers have dumped their kids off to attend. This is where Elodie's father, Colonel Stillwater exiled her too, taking her away from the life she knew in Tel Aviv. Making this the last place she wants to be.
All I want to do is complete my assignments, get good grades to appease Colonel Stillwater, and then get the f#ck out of here the moment I've graduated.
Elodie is holding a deep dark secret that she hopes stays buried. Wren has been interest in Elodie even before he first clapped eyes on her. She's his. Slowly he claims her as his, wearing her down until they become more, under the guise of secrecy.
Wren is the stuff of sweet, heavenly dreams, and twisted, terrifying nightmares.
Meet the boys of 'Riot House' the boys who live off campus and have their very own little fortress. 'Wren' He's handsome in the same dangerous way that snakes, and spiders and wolves are beautiful to look at. 'Pax' One look at him and you mistake him for a convict from his tattoos to his shaved head. 'Dashiell' could be mistaken for a librarian with the clothes he wears to the intelligent eyes behind his wire rimmed glasses.
If you ever find find yourself stranded and alone on this road, do not go knocking on that door for help. Whatever you do, no matter the circumstances, do not step foot inside Riot House. For better or worse, you won't come out the same.'
MY THOUGHTS: One look at the cover and I was a goner! Then the synopsis sealed the deal, there I was hoping this would tick all my boxes so my anticipation levels were high when this landed on my kindle. This was long, way longer than I feel it needed to be, the first half didn’t really capture my attention, part of me wanted to put it aside as it was very slow moving and not a lot really occurred. But I persevered. If this was cut down in size it would’ve gotten a five star rating from me, because it had the bones to make a truly spectacular read for me. Also please correct me if I'm wrong, but I got the feeling that Wren had a dark past, it pointed towards him doing despicable things but other than that one incident nothing else was divulged!?! Just over the halfway mark was where things picked up and this is where I connected with the story and the characters, I wanted to read, I needed to see where the author was leading me, throw in a twist and that’s what ticked my box. And I’m glad I carried on.

I fell in love with this story from the get go, that very first page pulled me in, that last page left me happy and completely satisfied.

The cover is amazing, the synopsis pulled me in, the storyline hooked me in even further. This was so easy to get into, a unique, unputdownable read which got its clutches into from the very first chapter.

5 BRAT & QUARTERBACK STARS
Meet the four boys in their twenties (Easton Price, cousins Colt and Lincoln Hamilton and Finn Walker).
❝ None of us exactly have sparkling personalities-I'm a dick, Easton is a conceited prick, and Colt is a moody fucker. The only one that something nice can be said about is Lincoln. But that's just because he's genuinely a good guy underneath it all.❞
One look at the cover and like a whore on crack my stalking levels went into overdrive, but needless to say though, the synopsis and the author who always delivers unique reads sealed the deal! I couldn’t wait to jump in with both feet as soon as this landed on my iPad! Life in quarantine was forgotten!
When all their lives did a full one-eighty with a snap of a finger, they thought they had all gotten away with murder, now they all have blood on their hands. But someone knows what they did that spring, and that person is going to knock them down a peg or two and make them pay for their sins.
First up is Finn, our quarterback god, unluckily for him he's been handed a mysterious black letter by 'The Society' or so they believe. He's been given a task, one that he has to complete or suffer the consequences. And this task is to befriend Stone Bennett.
He knows nothing about her, after doing some digging he finds out that she's a Southie who comes from the wrong side of the tracks.
As his eyes make contact with the girl he's set to ruin he can't get over how different she is compared to the twig thin debutant girls northside he's accustomed to. From her bluish black hair, to her tattoos and piercings and the curves she's rocking Finn is struck speechless. ❝ Tattoos, thick thighs, and pretty eyes. A lethal combination that ensures I'm fucked.❞
❝ If sleeping with Stone Bennett is how I get them off my back, then that's what I'll have to do. I mean, how hard can it be to seduce that devil's spawn anyway.❞
The beginning had me sitting up taking note, and from that point onwards I was eating out of this author's hands, eating up her words at record speeds knowing that somewhere along the way small pieces to the puzzle would divulge itself.
These two were dynamite, their chemistry, and sexual overdrive sizzled off the pages, they were beyond hot and I couldn’t get enough of them. Our heroine Stone gave our hero a run for his money, tough, sassy, a ball breaker who works hard to achieve her dreams. And Finn our hot, popular quarterback, with his shy, sweet, sexy dirty talking mouth made these two a perfect combination.
Throw in a few stalker moments, a few games, a few rolls in the hay and and I was beyond hooked!! This book is utterly unputdownable and unpredictable in every sense of the word. A unique, suspenseful read which had me sitting on the edge of my seat. I can not wait for the next book!!

Hate is a book which will pull you in from the get go and won't let go until you close out of that last page. The author didn't hold anything back. She threw it all at us and we lapped it up.
Halloween night they should’ve been at a friends party but bestie Bree and Madison Kate decided that sneaking out to attend a high illegal mixed martial arts fight which was held in a long abandoned amusement park in West Shadow Grove called ‘The Laughing Clown’ sounded like more fun.
This was the catalyst for the whole book. What happened that halloween night was just the beginning. Get ready to meet the three hot boys who have moved into Madison's home (Archer, Max & Kodiak) Let the fun times begin. Because Madison has a chip on her shoulder and she's got these three boys in her sight. Brace yourselves!! This book is going to knock your socks off.
And then as I’m nearing the end, my heart rate spiked up, my palms got clammy, screaming at my iPad for her to get out of there, hide, run, don’t look back, praying they weren’t involved, right before I’m literally thrown over a cliffhanger! ...more
#DEAD!! This book right here was one I was highly anticipating! I think after we’d all been introduced to Tessa previously we wanted/needed her book, her story.
Everything was changing in Tessa's world and there wasn't a damn thing she could do about it, from her twin leaving town and taking off to college, to her recent break up from her boyfriend as he too took off for college. Both leaving Tessa behind as she repeats half of her senior year.
She agrees to go out for a night on the town, a one night stand is exactly what will numb all the pain she's feeling, it's here she catches the eye of Asher. He's her perfect distraction.
'THIRD A KISS' is the third full length romance book in Pepper Winter's 'Goddess Isles' series. It picks up where the second Twice a Wish book left off.
Wow!! Perfectly perfect, perfection at its best! As you can see I was hooked from the get go. Chasing my quarantine blues and spending time in paradise was the perfect time to indulge in this series. This series is going from strength to strength, each book better than the last. Inhaled at record speeds!
This starts off with a BANG remember how the previous book ended. SOLD. Her only escape was giving him his own medicine. She fed him his very own creation.
'BROKEN HATE' is the third full length romance book in Thandiwe Mpofu's 'Westbrook Blues' series. It picks up where the second book left off.
This book is definitely unputdownable, unique and unpredictable in every sense. Most importantly 'Broken Hate' is not just your ordinary romance, it's so much more..
When we asked for more, the author listened! And boy did we get more! More angst More betrayal More secrets More deception More heartbreak More feels More twists and turns More heart stopping moments... Heartbeat. Heartbeat. Heartbeat
This book is crammed full of answers to all our questions, past and present collide. My brain was on overload, my heart was nearing breaking point, my anticipation levels were out of control. This author threw everything she could at us, and I loved every minute of it.
'THE DARE:' Is a full length slow burn, friends-to-lovers trope by Elle Kennedy.
This author is the Queen when it comes to giving us our sports fixes and the hot hockey players she introduces us to in her stories are ones that we all fall in love with and swoon over years later. And hockey playboy Conor was no exception. He was dropping swoon worthy bombs all over the place.
When a few catty sorority sisters on Greek Row, throw out a dare during one of their parties for Taylor to seduce one of the hot hockey players in junior class, she heads right for Conor and whispers in his ear and begs him to just go with it. Conor bored with the goings on at the party and being the gentleman that he is follows her to one of the empty bedrooms upstairs. And instead of making out as they are mean't to, they sit talking for hours on end, even falling asleep side by side after staying up way past the party had ended.
And that ladies and gents is where a sweet, cute friendship blossomed from.
Conor was just utter perfection and my opinion about him didn't change throughout the book. He's probably one of my favourites within this series. Just his big heart and kindness, and protectiveness towards Taylor throughout cemented me towards him.
Taylor believed she was a chunky girl that everyone behind her back whispered about, always hiding her figure wearing unflattering clothes, never believing for a minute that maybe some guys liked her curves.
My curves have been the bane of my existence since I was twelve years old.
I think too much time was wasted on Taylor and her insecurities when it came to how she perceived herself in the eyes of her peers, she was always dieting, always wearing clothes two sizes too big for her and always going on about the size of her chest. It just made her issues too much of a focal point.
And poor Conor always trying to boost her self-esteem up.
But as the story progressed I loved seeing Taylor grow as a person, from hiding in big clothes and staying out of the limelight to coming into her own, to the point of even sticking up for herself.
Super cute, Super sexy, Super hilarious, AND Super easy to fall in love with these two characters.

'WICKED LIARS' is the first full length bully romance book by new to me author Laura Lee's 'Windsor Academy' series. Spoken in 'Dual Perspectives.'
For a bully romance this was an enjoyable read, throwing in the two fathers shady side business added in a unique aspect to the story which gave an underlying edge to the storyline, which I can’t wait to find out more about which I’m guessing will be divulged as we progress into the series more.
Three hot privileged boys who rule the school with an iron fist, and the mean girls who claim them as theirs.
But as you hit that last chapter is where it ticked even more of my boxes, suspenseful, unpredictable, I raced through that last chapter like I was on crack! A cliff hanger I wasn’t ready for, but it definitely has me begging for the next instalment!
