I don't think I can love this series even more. Okay. I lied. This series is by far one of my favourites, if not THE favourite. With each book, I go in blind, not wanting to read the blurb for fear of getting spoilers. It's been fun doing it this way.
This is the 3rd book in the series and I enjoyed reading Mason's POV. I just love Samantha and I find myself wanting to be her friend. My heart breaks for her each time something tragic happens.
By the end of this book, I was yelling, demanding that what I thought happened didn't actually happen. It's been a long while since I've yelled at a book. Thank you, Tijan for that.
Mason and Sam have been through so much. With Logan included, these three can't seem to catch a break. When a certain something goes down, the guys team up to bring down *shudder* Kate. I can't stand her. By the end of the book, a part of me did feel sorry for her and I gained respect for Sam when she "saved" her.
Logan...oh Logan. A little secret is revealed by the end of the book and I totally knew it. Not because it was predictable but because I feel like I know Logan and know what he's thinking. Lol. I can't believe how much I've connected with these characters. I will be sad when the series ends but for now, I'm going to enjoy book 4....more

Well this series is doing thatIt has been a long time since I started a series and felt the need to devour every single book that has been published. Well this series is doing that to me. Have you read VC Andrews books? They are old school but filled with so much emotion, the words capture you every time. I felt that way with this book. Heck, with both of the books in this series so far. I'm on a binge read and I can't wait to find out what happens and what becomes of Samantha, Mason, Logan and even Nate.
This book takes place a couple weeks after the first one ends. More drama happens and again I say that I am so glad I'm not in high school any more. Of course, these schools are way different than the one I went to but the different cliques and bullies are definitely the same.
I love how this series touches on real life issues. The crap that teenagers have to deal with. Broken families. School problems and so on. It's real. Everyone has faced at least one of these problems in their life or maybe something close to it.
I personally love Samantha and think she's a great female lead. Of course, Mason and Logan are awesome as always and Mason is hot as ever. Nate...I wonder about him. Questions are left unanswered and more questions arise but I can't wait to find out all of the answers.
HOLY BALLS ON A CRACKER!!!! I must have been living under a rock this whole freaking time. This book...gah! It has been a LONG time where a book/serieHOLY BALLS ON A CRACKER!!!! I must have been living under a rock this whole freaking time. This book...gah! It has been a LONG time where a book/series has consumed me this way where it makes me want to devour and binge read every single book in the series. Mind you, I have my favourite series of course but there is just something about this story. It's raw, gritty, real. So many emotions run through it and I was captured from the very first word.
Tijan is a new author for me but this book is definitely not the last. At first, I was a little thrown off by Sam's bitterness but after thinking about it for a while, I got it. I truly did. I would probably be in the same situation after what she had been through. And man, can the girl run! It makes me want to start running again. I'm definitely feeling inspired.
Anyway! Logan and Mason...gosh...Mason...wow...the chemistry is off the charts hot. The drama is insane and it definitely does not make me miss high school.
I loved this story because it wasn't your typical bubblegum read. It dealt with darker topics and I loved how it deal with real life situations.
I just loved this book and I'm about the pick up the next one and start right away. I will be binge reading all of Tijan's books and I can't wait to be filled by her words....more
