Set in space, it centers on the first encounter with an alien race, but not in the way you’d initially expect. It was that which kept me reading, and I finished the book in two days. The story satisfyingly addresses “what if?” questions that would come up when thinking about first contact, and a different side of the encounter.
The science fiction is not heavy in this story, but is just right for my liking. The drama and action added to the story made it something I just couldn’t put down....more
