I fell in love with CeCe and Evan straight away – they were both such relatable and down to earth characters, very much so like the characters in book 1. CeCe was hurt by what had happened in her past so think it’s perfectly acceptable that she is so independent and has her walls up to try and protect herself from being hurt again. I knew as soon as CeCe and Evan met he would be the one to heal her and show her how lovely a relationship can be, he was such a true gentleman and I just adored him! I also loved the community feel in this book, all of the characters both main and secondary were lovely! This really was a beautiful story, well written and with amazing characters. This had a really gritty storyline that kept me turning the pages so I could see what was going to happen. The characters Nazario and Viviano were both really strong – I found them really interesting to read about especially Nazario – he was certainly different to what I expected! Walt was a little grumpy but I think that definitely made him even more desirable especially once we finally got to know the real Walt! I loved the two of them together, they were just so perfect in my opinion. She conveyed her inner thoughts and feelings across to me as the reader really well. I really did feel like I knew Landry and could definitely empathise with how she was feeling at times. Being a teenager is a really hard time and I definitely think the author portrayed this really well. I can imagine many young readers would be able to relate to the characters and social situations that arise in this book. I would definitely like to read the next book in the series. ...more

The story was well written, dual POV which is my favourite – I love that you get to understand both characters and I felt like I really knew both Adam and Cristy really well by the end of this book. The chemistry between the two characters was really intense but it still felt believable. I think I pretty much fell in love with Adam as soon as I started reading about him. This really was a great read and one I would highly recommend – I look forward to reading the next and previous books in this series. ...more

This was a wonderful debut novel for this author and I am really excited to read the second book. I was drawn into the story fairly quickly and the ending definitely left me with questions, hence why I can’t wait to get my hands on book 2! Dawson and Izzy’s story was wonderful to follow and I could truly feel the love and connection that they had. I do have a slight soft spot for rock star romance stories so that is probably why I loved this one as much as I did. The writing was excellent and the author really brought her characters to life and gave them a real life feeling to them, I felt, as a reader, like I was living the highs and lows of their relationship with them, it was a very engaging read. I adored the way Dawson loved Izzy, it’s the kind of love I think everybody wants to experience. She was everything to him and he was the same to her. As I said previously with how the story ended I can’t wait to see what happens next – I hope the author isn’t about to break my heart! A fantastic debut novel that I highly recommend!

Lovely Jo was on the run after being accused of a crime she didn’t commit, she found herself being sheltered by Dusty who believed that she didn’t do anything wrong. I loved both of these characters, Lovely Jo was a really nice person who know sadly because of the colour of her skin she was being blamed for something she didn’t do and would more than likely not be believed if she was captured. Dusty, I’m going to be honest, was definitely book boyfriend material. There was so much chemistry between him and Lovely Jo but he was so respectful of her. I thought they made a lovely couple and I loved reading about them. I am definitely looking forward to reading more from this author again! ...more

I love it when a book is written by two author and their writing style matches so well you have no idea who has written what! Brilliant collaboration. I was completely consumed by what I was reading, I had no idea which way the authors were going with the story – it really was an amazing read. I will be honest and say it may not be a story for everyone but I loved it, I loved the darkness of Dominic and his want for revenge, I probably should have liked him as much as I did. He was a really complex character and I found him fascinating with the way in which he thought at times. Lu was a wonderful, independent female lead but she also still had that small amount of vulnerability to make her need someone in her life. Nikolai was a strong male lead but again he had this side to him that wasn’t overpowering and he realised that he needed to let Lu have her independence but be there when she needed him. there was so much chemistry between the two of them and the author really made this come alive in the story! I think the author is very upfront about the kind of content in the story so it’s quite clearly this is intended for a mature audience only! When I first read the blurb for this book I was extremely excited to read it – I mean who doesn’t love the idea of a sexy British Royal Heir – I definitely do!! Overall I really liked the story, I think it was lacking a little of the angst I was kind of expecting but I still thoroughly enjoyed reading it and would have no hesitation in recommending it. I liked the story was written in dual POV – it certainly makes you understand the thoughts and feeling of the characters better that way and it suited the authors style of writing too. It didn’t take me long at all to fall in love with the characters, I liked that they weren’t predictable and I was fully invested in their story from beginning to end. Ollie was probably everything I would want in a hero and more! I liked how the author tried not to make him too stereotypical and the same with the female lead, Addy. I haven’t read anything by this author before but I will definitely be reading more from her again in the future. A solid 4 star read!
