How would you react if you found out there are pictures of you everywhere in town? The Thief Lord, by Cornelia Funke, where anything unexpected may occur any moment. You may think that you are safe and hidden from people right where you are, but think again. You always have to be aware of your surroundings, even if you think it’s completely safe. Prosper and Bo escape from their cruel aunt and uncle, and escape to Venice. They meet up with their cousin Hornet, and Hornet leads them to a secret place where only she and a few other people know about, and live there. They meet a mysterious boy who also lives in this secret place, who calls himself “Thief Lord”, master of stealing items such as jewelry and other valuable items. Little do they know, a person called Victor is trying to find Prosper and Bo because of what their aunt and uncle stated. Dark secrets which involve the Thief Lord’s background story, which he never wants to tell. After Prosper and Bo’s arrival at the secret place, everyone living inside is in great danger. The story’s plot is a bit slow, but I couldn’t put the book down at all. This is one of the books that it’s very hard to predict what’s going to happen later in the story line, which makes the book more interesting and puts you on a cliff hanger on every chapter. I recommend this book to people who love books that are very hard to predict on what is going to happen later on in the story line, dark secrets that were never told but discovered, historical fiction, and adventure. When I read books, I usually dislike the beginning because I don’t know what’s going on, but this is one of the books that have a very interesting beginning, such as telling you what’s occurring right now instead of later in the story. ...more

Would you want to live in a school where there are students who can cast magic spells? If you want to read a book that may have a cliff hanger at every chapter, than you would definitly want to read "Charlie Bone and the Midnight Hour", by Jenna Nimmo where betrayal takes place. Charlie discovers that he has a magical talent where he can invision a move right off a photograph and see what happened before and after the picture was taken. As soon as the three aunts discovered this, they immidiatly assigned him to a school of unfortunetly gifted. Charlie soon finds a box that was swapped for a baby. Hes determined to find the key and give back the baby to its real mother before its too late. Will Charlie discover what is in the box and find the baby that was swapped? I definietly love this book and read for hours. It was easy to feel the main characters emotion and what they're going through, like you were in their world. If you love friendship, fantasy, adventure, and betrayal, you would love this book. Everyone in my family read this book and was left in a cliff hanger, wanting to read more. Since this is a series book, you can always read the next book as soon as your done with this one which makes you less anxiouse what is going to happen.
Have you ever wanted to be something your not? Did you want to be another creature? Have you ever thought about what guys are really like? "Fly on theHave you ever wanted to be something your not? Did you want to be another creature? Have you ever thought about what guys are really like? "Fly on the wall" by E. Lockhart. If you love friendship, shocking news, and adventure, this book would have it all. A girl named Gretchen Yee has only one friend and keeps getting bullied. Shes the kind of girl who sits alone at lunch and just draws. One day out of curiosity, she wanted to find out what guys are really like, and what they really talk about. She then said to her best friend that she wished she could be a fly, and then the most unexpected moment happened. I dont suggest this to anyone. This book is very innapropiate and for ages 15 and below. This book doesnt bring me into Gretchens world because I prefer her as "very annoying" and immature, which distractes me alot. Gretchan had a very small obstale and it wasnt major at all, which makes you easily close the book and read another one. You may thing this book is about a fly's perspective who sees everything, its just because the title is just too general. I was able to imagine what was going on in the book, but it didnt make me go into a cliff hanger. I really disliked how their was too many of Gretchens thoughts, up to the point where you just want to get on with the story....more

He sold both Ruth and Isabel to an extremely awful master and alot of obstacles in the way for them to become free. Isabel will do anything to become free with her young sister named Ruth, but they face lots of probelems and obstacles. I couldn't put this book down at all, It was like I was living in their world. Terrible issues and obstacles facing in Isabels and Ruths freedom. I completely understood their pain and what they were going through. I was very emotional in this book, like every scene in the book was currently happenining. I love adventure, friendship, and shocking news, and Chains has all of those.
