They often meet in a garden where they share their day to day problems and how they cannot do anything about those problems. In order to escape reality, they turn towards fairy tales to help lighten their moods.
They soon realize that each of their stories are remarkably similar to some well known fairy tales. So, they start believing in them and wait for some magic to happen that will change their lives too, as the lives of heroes and heroines in each of these fairy tales have changed.
My Thoughts:
As with each of her books, Ayesha has picked a very important topic. Fairy tales are a fantasy world, and that should be kept as just that. Children’s imagination is very wild in young age so as parents and elders, we should keep an eye that they are taking only good learning out of what they are reading. While magic beans and fairy god mothers are an appealing idea, children should be raised in a way that they know the importance of working hard.
The book is ideally for children aged 7 to 13 and have words that will also challenge and build your child’s vocabulary. The take home message is valuable and the activities at the end of the story, as with all of Ayesha’s books, are a fun way to conclude.
This story book is illustrated by Aisha Aamir wonderfully and it leave much to stir up a child’s own imagination.
All in all, a must have for your child’s book shelf. This is a book I will highly recommend for children and parents alike!

It is a story about three cousins whose parents choose a life of seclusion because they are very peculiar looking. In order to further avoid socialization, they lie with all sorts of excuses they can think of. This is something their children pick up and learn from them.
Ayesha raises such an important topic in this book. First of all, it is very common that sometimes we parents resort to making excuses in front of children, without realizing that we are teaching them to lie.
Second important lesson is the outcome of what we expose our child to. In the daily grind, we often forget how our children’s minds are like clean slates, waiting to be written on. They are keen observers and they follow our example. So it’s vey important that we not only tell them about doing good, but also to be an example to them showing how it’s done.
The thing I love most about Ayesha’s work is the way she picks up so many important lessons not only for children, but for parents also. Her books are something everyone can learn from. With Ayesha’s books, not only your children learns a lot, but you as a parent learn a valuable lesson each time.
At the end of each book is an activity section that is primarily for children and is aimed at helping the child internalize lessons from the book in a better way.
The book illustrations are done very nicely, leaving room for a child’s imagination to kick in. The colors are vivid and have a creative-inducing effect.
All in all, a must have for your child’s book shelf. This is a book I will highly recommend for children and parents alike!...more

She aims for perfection and to keep track of her progress, she maintains a diary of each incident where she did something that was right. As we go through the pages of her diary, we see that even though she was right, she was brutally honest at some places, while at few occasions her own sense of superiority gets a hold of her. She ends up losing all her friends. Instead of ‘Miss Perfect’, she becomes a ‘Miss Never Pleased’.
Ayesha Marfani has done an impressive job in this book and her keen eye for child psychology is apparent in this pages of this book. She is sensitive to what children feel, hence she chose to touch this delicate and usually overlooked subject in parenting. The pages of Habiba’s diary can perhaps signify a trend that we may be able to pick up in children around us, and hence this book proves not only a meaningful book for children, but for young parents alike.
The illustrator of this book has done a marvelous job; she leaves enough to keep young minds creatively thinking about the details of the whole picture.
I will highly recommend this book to parents of young children. I hope that children and their parents, alike, will enjoy this book like I have!

The lessons in each story is woven into intriguing stories that will fascinate both young and elders alike. The book comes with three stories and one section for children’s’ activity. The activity section is fun to do and is very interactive as it makes children think about the lessons they learn from the stories and then apply their logic to the questions in this section.
I love how Ayesha has narrated each story with a charm the reader cannot deny! It is important to make stories fascinating enough to keep the young readers interested. As an adult, I equally enjoyed reading the stories as well as reviewing them. The book illustrations add to the feeling of a dream-like childhood; they show the whole scenario nicely but smartly leave some details to the creativity of the children’s mind to ponder.
I will highly recommend this book to parents of young children. My favorite part in the whole composition of this book is the activity section. I hope that children and their parents, alike, will enjoy this book like I have!

I did not kno**spoiler alert** I was looking for a book with a Jane Austen air about it and I'm glad my dear friend Fatima recommended this one to me. I did not know how the story would come to be about the girl with a pearl earring when it was all along about a maid. It wrenched my heart to know how her masters had such control over her life that they could decide something that will most definitely affect her life and how insensitive they were about it. It saddened me even more to know how this is common in our own society also. I will give this book a four-star rating because it is an endearing Jane Austen style, yet there is a lack of depth somewhere. This lack of depth does not make it any less of a pleasure to read. Nonetheless, this is definitely going up my list of books that I can reread with pleasure. I will recommend you this book if you are one who likes the style of old literature. A book with a purpose, I'd definitely say. ...more
