Does she want to go back to her fiancé and resume her surgery rotation, does she want to stay in Freeport and take over for her father as the new medical examiner and rekindle her relationship with Nick or does she want to start teaching at a university?
Emily was starting to have serious doubts about her future and what options she may have, now it seems like she has too many options. If that isn't enough to keep her occupied the bones of a young woman are found and all the evidence is pointing to Nick. Can she figure out what really happened or does she believe it really was Nick that murdered the young woman. When a pact made by teenagers comes back to bite them in their adult years maybe its time for them to all come clean.
I really love this series and I hope there is more to come. I don't think Emily's story is finished yet even though this book didn't end on a cliffhanger. Well developed characters and a fast paced mystery this is a good read. ...more

Seeing as how I am older than the main character I don't believe I am that naive not do I sound that old. #2 would be that there is very little plot and little on character development. I liked the story but there wasn't much to hold on to.
However there was some good in this book as well. There is a great deal of good BDSM information in this book and description of toys etc. Plus the body positive side of bdsm shines through in that many of the subs in the club do not have perfect bodies but find their needs met and people who find them attractive.
The whole Trish got in a fight with her husband went out got drunk and in the span of a week decided she was going to "train" as a sub and have sex with random men thing was just a bit too much for me. I am willing to suspend my disbelief to a point but this just jumped the shark for me. While she was living with Clint for the trial 2 week period I found that you got nuggets of who these characters were however they both only seemed like shells and needed to be fleshed out so much more. I wouldn't say this book is great I feel like it needs work and I will give book 2 a try and see if it reads better in kindle format than audio. ...more

It may have helped some of the backstory but that wasn't as important as the rest of the story.
This is definitely a complex mystery with many moving parts and seemingly no connections. From London to Hong Kong, and Mexico this book is a little confusing at first but it all starts coming together in the end and is extremely well done. I really appreciated the different story lines and how they converge. The action is fast and definitely something that keeps you on your toes. The characters were interesting and very engaging. The breakdown of Eva's marriage and the craziness that follows is well played. I really enjoyed this book even when I was scratching my head trying to figure out how these seemingly two unrelated stories fit together.
I am very interested in The Burial Society and the background of Catherine and how and why she formed this organization so I will be looking to purchase the first book in this series. ...more
