This was an enthralling series that had me on the edge of my seat wanting more. It was so easy to get lost in the scenery and imagery in this series I felt like I was right there where the characters were located. My only complaint for this series was all the sex scenes. I feel like they made the story drag on, and that without some of them you wouldn't get as lost in the story. Or at least I felt like I kept getting lost from all the sex scenes. Besides that if you're interested in a dark, sexy romance, this series is for you! This series definitely contains content for ages 18+....more

This tSure As Hell (Life Is Hell Book 4) by Naomi Valkyrie was another great read! I absolutely love this series, and this addition was no exception. This time, you get to follow on the adventures of Jaru and Larkspur, and the tale just gets more exciting. I love the storyline of this series, and this book. The steam and romance is great, but not too much. You get the action and excitement, along with tons of inclusion and fantasy. I also love the openness of this book, as the author talks about Jaru being neurodivergent and it just felt so personal and I think it was all the better for that. This series has fast become a favorite and I can't wait to read more!...more

There are so many things that happen in this series, I want to eventually go back and read them all again (this time in order) and get completely immersed in the Ash Park world. The characters are interesting, and the writing is phenomenal. This series is what made me become interested in crime novels more than the little bit I was before. This book picks up right where the first one left off, so it definitely needs to be read in order. I really enjoyed the plotline and somewhat enjoyed the characters. I have the same issue I did with the first, that the characters acted very juvenile to me, and the stream of consciousness that Cecily the main character thinks makes me zone it sometimes. I love YA novels and this one was great, I just wish again that Cecily had more of a backbone when it comes to things. Overall this series is great and I have loved reading it!...more

My only complaint, with some events that happen in the plot, is that I didn't see a trigger warning or content warning. I feel like there should have been, because some of the content may be very damaging for some readers. Other than that small bit, this was an amazing book! I thoroughly enjoyed reading this novel, and it was a tale unlike any I've read before. I won't lie though. It took me several chapters before I fully became enthralled in this novel. I was pretty confused at the beginning, what with the colors and the random events that happened (not so random in the long scheme of things) and it felt like it wasn't really explained well. (Book One of the Cecily Taylor Series) by Krysten Lindsay Hager was a really good read! I'm not going to lie. It wasn't until about the halfway point that I really got into this book. It felt kind of drawn out in a way, but also very naive. Cecily seemed like such a pushover, and very docile I think is the word? I felt like she let things go too far with Zach while he pushed her for the same exact thing. It seemed very toxic to me, and I didn't enjoy that relationship at all. However, once Cecily started kind of speaking and saying what she actually thought, she became much more likeable.
