A dazzling story about love, friendship, family, and second chances!
This book will bring some much needed sunshine into the darkest of winter days... A dazzling story about love, friendship, family, and second chances!
This book will bring some much needed sunshine into the darkest of winter days.... nothing better than a book that allows you to vacation without the need of a passport or to get on an airplane.... in this book we got to virtually take many trips the best of them being a trip to Greece... Lin B. Halton did such a wonderful job of describing the sites, the sounds, the smells, the people, and the food of Greece that I feel as though I can scratch it off my bucket list....
Leah is a single mother with a lovely 9-year-old daughter Rosie... Leah has had to claw her way back after her ex not only left her for another woman, but left her in financial ruin... Leah is now an up and coming travel blogger... she is also surrounded by some pretty amazing people including her parents who are supportive and helpful and pretty darn stellar grandparents! While on a cruise she befriends a remarkable man name Harrison, I really found the friendship between them quite wonderful.... when in Greece she meets Daniel an archaeology professor on a dig, An amazing tour guide, and a man with a secret.... there is definite chemistry between Leah and Daniel, but they both have some reservations as well as some issues... when it comes to matters of the heart, nothing is ever easy....
This book was so realistic, filled with a few complicated love stories and several fantastic characters.... I was probably frustrated with almost every character in this book at one time or another... how could they not see what was right in front of them? Every character in this book was really likable and Rosie was downright adorable! I loved that Rosie had such an important part in her mother’s travel blog... I also loved that this book addressed how time consuming blogging can be... although I must admit Leah got some pretty fantastic perks!
An enchanting story full of warmth and heart, absolutely recommend!

Another wonderfully fun installment in this delightful series! Elizabeth McGivern has done it again! She has the remarkable ability to take some pretty serious subject matter and infuse A large dose of compassion and a whole lot of humor into it.... I can’t even tell you how many times I laughed out loud during this book, tears running down my face laughing! This is the second book in the series, and it could be read as a standalone, but I would strongly strongly encourage you to pick up the first book and then immediately followed up with this one! This series is a little gem that should not be missed!
So Amy Cole has found her mind and infused her life with Zen.... don’t panic though she is still the crazy quirky Amy we met in the first book, she just has conquered a few of her demons... she is also still BFFs with Elle and the girls are still up to their silly antics! Some of the funniest parts of this book involved Elle beginning to date again determined to find the love of her life online..... from her ridiculous dating profile to a man in a llama shirt two the SafeWord pineapple, I was cracking up the entire time! Not only did we have Elle’s dating nightmares, we also spent some time with Amy’s mother in law... talk about the mother-in-law from hell, this woman was way too much! And then we had the skinny class that took fat shaming to another level.... oh my goodness so many wonderfully hilarious moments in this book, don’t worry I won’t list them all!
The true charisma of this book lies in its characters! Amy has a wonderful Group of people around her... of course there is Elle her BFF the ultimate ride or die! Ben her husband who has the patience of a saint and a heart of gold, although he could step it up when it comes to his mom! Her kids are adorable and add charm and whimsy to the story as children always do.... Joseph her fairy godfather is in this book as well, still solid as a rock.... and even though Amy might not always get along with her mother and father, they do bring some comedy to the book....
This book is a sparkling example of a perfect escapist read, I cannot encourage you enough to pick this one up! Absolutely recommend! And I will be eagerly anticipating the next book in this series, cannot wait to see what Amy and her friends and family are up to next!🍍

A town called mistletoe, a Christmas tree farm called Reindeer Games, and a cat named Cindy Lou Who are just a few of the things that make this a Christmas must read! Holly has settled in after being home in mistletoe Maine for the past year.... when a body is found in a bowl full of peppermint candies and Holly’s BFF Caroline is the number one suspect... Holly is on the case to prove her Bestiess innocence... this was a smart mystery that made me put on my sleuthing cap...
The setting of this book is holiday perfection, the characters are fun and festive, and the mystery was marvelously plodded... I strongly encourage you to add this charming series to your holiday TBR, and you have an entire year to get caught up on the series, until the next book!

Such a beautiful story about second chances, about moving on after heartbreak, about finding friendship in A lovely tale filled with charm and heart!
Such a beautiful story about second chances, about moving on after heartbreak, about finding friendship in the most unlikeliest of places... This book is compared to “Eleanor Oliphant” in the blurb, after finishing the book I can see it, but it takes a long time to get to that point... there are the same themes of friendship and needing people in your life and growing as a person.... The book is a bit of a slow burner, please stick with it! I also was extremely irritated in the beginning of the story, but it was so worth it!
Grace is a cellist, after a Tramatic experience in music college she no longer performs in public... she now lives in a small village and works as a luthier repairing and crafting violins and cellos, and only playing for herself... Grace is also madly devoted and in love with a married man named David... David insists he is in a loveless marriage and that he will leave his wife and marry Grace when his kids are grown... but the truth comes out after David saves the life of a woman on the metro and gets a bit of celebrity.... Grace is heartbroken, what will she do now?
Ugh! David was such a slimeball! I never liked him and I never could see what Grace saw in him? This was the point in the book I wanted to throw my Kindle across the room, I wanted to jump through the pages and smack some sense into Grace, she was worth so much more than this jerk! To be completely honest this part of the story did not appeal to me at all, I am not a fan of cheating, and I could not see a good result.... but after I finish the book I understood why this was included, we needed to see how far Grace had come, how much she had grown!
The highlight of the story was the friendship that Grace had with both Mr. Williams and Nadia... mr. Williams is in his 80s and Nadia is a teenager, a more unlikely trio you could not find... but what a beautiful friendship these three formed, pulling Grace from the ashes of heartbreak and filling her life with love and music... The book really turned from what I thought was a bummer into a delightful uplifting story full of the most amazing characters! I do have to say though Nadia was my absolute favorite, she was just so delightful and insightful, I just Love her! In fact I’d love to see a story about her in her 20s!
A delightful feel good story that will put a big smile on your face, some hope in your heart, and an urge to play the cello! Absolutely recommend!

A wonderful small town cozy that will make you feel merry and bright... loved the setting of this lovA charming cozy mystery full of books and cheer!
A wonderful small town cozy that will make you feel merry and bright... loved the setting of this lovely teashop with a bookish theme and yummy goodies!
Callie has returned home to small town Maine for the holidays and helps her aunt Iphy out at her teashop... Iphy is a book lover and all her goodies have a bookish clue in them... The teashop is hired to cater the will reading of Dorthia Fimster *Love that name* things go awry at the reading and soon Callie finds herself on the case...
This is the first book in this series and I am curious to see where it goes! I love the setting of the small town and I loved the characters, but I wanted more! More about the teashop, more about Callie’s pass, just more! But as in a lot of series there is always a lot of information to process in the first book so sometimes it’s a little more difficult to develop the characters fully, I’m sure that will come in future books... The mystery was fun although a little predictable, and I enjoyed playing sleuth right along with Callie.... definitely will be picking up the next book in the series, I just noticed that it is on NG!

Loved this! Are you kidding me? A book about fashion where I get to spend the entire time in the mind of a complete whackadoodle? It’s a dream come true, don’t judge! I am SO #teamanya loved her! Well with the exception of the murdering thing, and the obsession thing, and the fact that she had no moral compass, but who am I to judge?😉
Anya is a fashionista working for a fashion magazine with her eye on the prize, and nothing I mean nothing is going to stop her! She is a bit obsessed, OK a lot obsessed with her coworker Sarah... convinced if she can just become BFFs with her it will take her to The next level.... after the gauntlet is thrown down with a promotion on the line the bodies start dropping and nobody is safe! You know what they say; and fashion, one day you’re in and the next day you’re dead.
A dart campy quirky book that made me giggle and roll my eyes throughout! A book that had me feeling sympathy for the killer...Anya was such a disturbed, deranged, delusional psycho, but shoot I still adored the girl! This book captured my attention completely throughout... and that ending? that was both shocking and deliciously delightful! Definitely looking forward to the next book from this author, this was a bunch of fun!

A creepy compulsive character driven thriller that will make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up!
This is my very first book by Lisa Jewell, I A creepy compulsive character driven thriller that will make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up!
This is my very first book by Lisa Jewell, I know, I know, shame on me! But before you start writing me hate male, LOL, this absolutely will not be my last! Miss Jewell won me over after the first chapter! Her exceptional character developMent made my heart sing! Add in a complicated twisty plot that sucked me in from the very first page and short chapters that kept me on my toes.... and all I can say is YES! YES! YES!
The book starts out with a dead body, somebody has been murdered... but who? And why? And by whom? The story is then told from multiple different perspectives leading up to the murder.... there is a lot of speculation about Tom Fitzwilliams the new head teacher... he appears to be a little too friendly with his students especially the female ones, and what happened 20 years ago? And why does he move around so much? What I thought was so brilliant about this story is we never get Tom’s perspective, but we get that of those around him, we learn about him and form our opinions of him through their eyes.... The three primary narrators in the story see Tom in very different ways... Joey the newlywed who has just moved in twohouses away from him is seriously infatuated almost borderline obsessed with him... Freddy, Tom’s son and a kind of lovable oddball is sometimes frightened and sometimes not by him... Jana the teenager down the street and a student at Tom’s school is very creeped out by him, convinced he is acting inappropriately towards her BFF.... we also get treated to the police transcripts of the investigation peppered in throughout the book, I thought this added an additional layer to the story.
Throughout the story there is a lot of watching going on... Freddie is watching the entire neighborhood... let me just add in my opinion here, getting your teenage son high power binoculars, probably not a great idea, just saying...We also had Jenna’s mother convinced crazy shenanigans are going on, watching Tom... Jenna is watching and watching out for her BFF... Joey is watching the comings and goings of Tom and his wife... and so on, made me wonder what is going on in my own neighborhood?
This book was really all about perception and assumption, my opinion of each and every character in this book change from beginning to end.... made you realize you never really get the entire picture.... a wonderful book about the darker side of what goes on behind closed doors...
Absolutely recommend to anyone who enjoys an addictive dark twisted story with fantastically developed characters and a mystery that will keep you guessing!

An uplifting life affirming story about the little things in life!

WOW! This book was an unexpected gem of a story! A book about how it is the little things in life that can make the biggest impact... how sometimes your small actions can influence not only your own life but that of others... how little acts of kindness can spiral into big successes... just think about it the next time you give that stranger a smile it might alter the course of their life and for the better... kind words to a stranger might lead to a great invention... telling your BFF that her new haircut is fabulous might lead to her meeting the man of her dreams that night, you just gave her that much more confidence.... just saying it’s those small things that can impact a persons day, of course it could happen adversely as well, but we’re staying positive here! Don’t worry this is not a philosophy book, it is a well-crafted story that will give you a really positive vibe about life and make you want to run out and be thoughtful about your interactions with others....
Eva Woods has written an engaging and beautiful story that sucked me in from page 1... Rosie is hit by a bus and put in a coma... she has no recollection of the accident, the events leading up to the accident, she has no memory at all... we the reader are privy to her inner thoughts as she begins to piece her past together... this part of the book jumps around and can be a little jarring at times, Rosie does not regain her memory in a linear fashion... she also has a bit of a spiritual guide to help her puzzle The pieces of her life back together... this part of the book slightly reminded me of “A Christmas Carol,” could also be that I was reading it at Christmas time.... rosie’s sister Daisy also plays a very important part in this book... not only is she right by Rosie side willing her to come back to her, but she also has her own life issues to deal with... I thought how the sisters stories were woven together was seamless and perfect...
Both Rosie and Daisy were tremendously likable characters, I truly adored both of them! The way the story unfolded made for a compelling and addictive read... Eva Woods has crafted an exquisite thought-provoking story...
A story that will tug atboth your heart and your head, full of beautiful imagery and wonderful characters! Recommend!

I absolutely love this series and I’m sad that this is the last book, but I’m excited to see what the brilliant Tara Sivec has in store for us next! Tara is the queen of the romcom, laugh out loud stories filled with snarky Heroines and swoon worthy heroes.... this series was a bunch of fun especially if you are a princess fan, we got a Cinderella story, a Beauty and the Beast story, and now my favorite princess Ariel!
Ariel is feisty, fierce, and a bunch of fun! She is also about to be evicted not only losing her home but all her precious antiques...Eric is a handsome millionaire playboy who has always had a thing for Ariel... but Ariel is a proud self sufficient woman who does not want to be silenced again by a man.... so will Ariel be able to put aside her pride and take some help from Eric? Will Cindy and Belle be able to talk some sense into her?
The romance in the story is sweet and hot and spicy! BUT what I love even more is the friendship between these three ladies! In this book as in the previous books they are so supportive and there for each other... this is another thing Tara Sivec does so well there are always strong female friendships in her books that almost over shine the romance... friend groups that you would love to be part of... love to go out and have some drinks and fun with! But these are also the friends that pick you up when you’re down that show up on your door at two in the morning with a tub of icecream because some guy did something....
Such a wonderful whimsical story, absolutely recommend! Be sure you pick up this book with your sense of humor intact!
And they all lived happily ever after!

An elegant story of first love, second chances, and heartbreak!

This story was told in verse, it took a wild to get used to the style, but once I did I was completely entranced... The book was also translated from French, I can only imagine how difficult it was to translate such a stylized book, so major props to the translator! As much as I enjoyed this story, I do recognize that the style is not for everybody.... but told in verse or not this was a lovely love story set in the city of love, Paris...
This is the story of Tatiana and Eugene, who first fell in love as teenagers.... first love, the heart is a pitter pattering the butterflies are fluttering, and you can’t seem to wipe that silly grin off your face.... but as in the case of most first love Tatiana and Eugene did not last.... then years later a chance encounter and the sparks are rekindled.... but life is complicated and love is messy, even in Paris...
Such a sweet satisfying story of love and loss... both Tatiana and Eugene were likable and a little quirky.... The story really transported you to Paris, you could see the sights, hear the sounds, and smell the scents of the city... a cleverly told love story... I’m not sure I could read every book in verse, but it was nice for a little change of pace...
If you love amour and Beautiful settings this one’s for you! Recommended!

with friends like this, who needs enemies?
This was a fast paced intense story that I finished in a matter of hours... and it’s a good thing I did, because I think I was holding my breath throughout this entire book! Shalini Boland you never fail to amaze me! and if I’m being honest frighten me a bit as well, I can only imagine what goes on in that brain of yours!
Luisa has a lovely life, a loving husband, an adorable son, a enjoyable writing gig... when her son Joe starts at a new posh school Louisa is desperate for her and Joe to fit in... so when Darcy befriends her, and her son Tyler quickly becomes friends with Joe, Louisa is absolutely thrilled... things seem to be going swimmingly, but things were just a little too good to be true.... slowly and subtly Louisa begins to notice things and Darcy’s facade slowly begins to peel away... but is Louisa seeing things where there is nothing to see? Is she getting paranoid? No one seems to believe her not her husband, not her sister, so is this real or is it all in Louisa’s mind?
Just like Louisa I was so tense and so frustrated during this book... how frustrating would it be for people not to believe what you know to be true? I had so much sympathy for Luisa, I really wanted to reach through the pages and shake some sense into her husband Jared! But I must admit Darcy was one clever girl! She almost had me fooled! I just could not figure out for the life of me what someone who seemingly had it all like Darcy had against sweet Louisa?

Jess is a struggling makeup artist trying to find her way in NYC... in need of money she fakes her way into a psychological research project... The research soon begins to spin out of control, leaving Jess bewildered and concerned... soon lines become blurred and research becomes reality.... A naïve girl, a creepy doctor, and a question of ethics... how much money would it take for you to compromise your morality? And how vulnerable does that make you?
Jess was such a sympathetic character, I really adored her, and oh how I felt for her! She really wanted to help her family out and I think that might have blinded her to some huge red flags when it came to good old Dr. Shields... dr. Shields, yikes! SO creepy! I don’t even want to use a pronoun, because I think it is best to go into this book not even knowing if the doctor is a he or a she.... just know they are one manipulative disturbed SOB! There were so many times during this book I was on pins and needle’s, just waiting to see what the doctor would do next!
This book was an intense ride until the very last word! A different and unique approach to the psychological thriller a twist to the twist! Absolutely recommend, this is one of the best!

This book took a hold of me and did not let go until the last page was turned!
This was an intense twisty story full of complex characters and complicated relationships. I absolutely love books that dig deeply into the psychology of the characters, and oh boy did this book do that! Perhaps there is no relationship more tenuous than that of mother-in-law and daughter-in-law. My own mother in law unfortunately passed away a year ago, and I will be forever grateful that she really stayed out of our business, LOL! Someday I will have my own daughter in law, a relationship I am looking forward to because I trust my son’s taste in a significant other. Although I am imagining it will be a tricky relationship I am up for the challenge! What is that saying;”adaughter is a daughter for all of her life, but a son is a son until he takes a wife.”
This story is told from duel points of view, mother-in-law Diana and daughter-in-law Lucy. I felt this was a extremely impactful way to tell the story, you could really see how much misunderstanding there was between these two women. They both truly sought the approval of the other, and neither really knew how to go about it. Most interesting indeed!
The book starts out with the apparent suicide of Diana. As the book progresses we get a look at events leading up to the tragedy. As well as the present day investigation. As things begin to unfold and secrets begin to be revealed we really find out how truly complicated it all was. As the past is revealed Diana becomes a more and more sympathetic character. You truly do need to understand where someone’s coming from to fully appreciate their current actions. I liked Lucy from the very beginning and I enjoyed delving deep into her immediate family dynamics. Her relationship with Oliver and the kids was so relatable. Tom, Diana‘s husband and the father in law was a jovial likable character, who sometimes should’ve perhaps had Diana‘s back a little more! Always much easier to be good cop then bad cop!
This book will feed your appetite for domestic Drama with a glimpse into this family‘s conflict. I just think there is something so alluring about a domestic thriller, it just is always so intriguing to read a story about family dynamics.. What is so brilliant about this story, is this family could be any of ours! It is so familiar and there is something comforting about that, making the story just that much more!
Strongly recommended to anybody who enjoys a story with complicated characters, complex relationships, twists, turns, and a well structured compelling plot!

This book was simply adorable! This was my first introduction to Mary Brown and the ninth book in the series and I was not lost at all! Can definitely be read as a standalone... however I’d venture to guess after reading this book you’ll want to go and pick them all up, I know I do....“The Adorable Fat Girl “series has a new fan!
Mary Brown receives an invitation to a funeral the problem is? She has no idea who the deceased is, and why he would want her at his funeral... when she arrives at the funeral in an isolated village in Wales she meets the other six people who were invited to the funeral... only six people and none of them know the deceased, Reginald Charters... The six of them soon find out that they will inherit 1,000,000 pounds, however there is a catch!
The story is told in duel timelines because we also get the story of Reginald Charters starting in the 1940s.... I found this story extremely interesting and very well researched! The historical part of the story had a much more somber tone than that of the present day story, but I thought it was a really nice balance.... it was like the historical part was in black-and-white and the present day was in color...
Mary was such a fun self deprecating character with a wonderful sense of humor... The rest of the cast of characters were quirky, intriguing, and well developed... and bonus at the end of the book we find out there will be another book including all these wonderful characters! I’m really looking forward to many more books in the series and getting to know Mary better...
Absolutely encourage you to add this to your TBR list! It is quite adorable!

This is not a light fluffy Christmas story, this is a book full of emotion and struggle that will take you on a wonderful journey... as you all know I adore a fun festive story, but this book took hold of my heart and did not let go until the bitter end... an emotional ride that will make you smile, make you laugh, make you angry, make you cry, but at the end of the day it will leave you with a warm toasty feeling in your heart.... I truly loved this story from first page to last, I was completely captivated by these characters!
Tansy has lost everything her company, her boyfriend, her beautiful flat... The only thing she has left from her old life is a camper van, so she sets off in her van to temporarily live on the beach...Tansy finds herself in a small village where she befriends the owner of a café and her son, and takes a job as a TV location scout... turns out part of the job is taking care of the grumpy, grouchy, brooding, star Devin... i’m sure you can figure out where this is going? But let me tell you it was so much more than your typical romance, these two characters had some major depth and some major baggage... not to mention two adorable dogs who had a love story of their very own!
This was a very slow burning realistic romance full of angst and misunderstanding... both Tansy and Davin were likable sympathetic characters... both of their backstories were quite heartbreaking, but I loved reading about what made them the people they are today.... The secondary characters added so much charm to the story even the obnoxious vegan actress... this is the first book in the series, and I am really hoping that we will revisit these characters in future books...
Strongly encourage you to pick this up if you are a fan of a well done romance with some depth and emotion💕 don’t let the title fool you, this book can be read any time of the year!

A uniquely told, on point story about the complexities of the mother daughter relationship👩👧
This was a charming and real look into the thoughts of a A uniquely told, on point story about the complexities of the mother daughter relationship👩👧
This was a charming and real look into the thoughts of a daughter and mother navigating their way through the teenage years... it was told in diary form so we really got an intimate look into both Stella and Tara’s inner thoughts and emotions.... this was a lovely coming of age story that I think leans a little more towards young adult then women’s fiction...
Tara is a 14-year-old who doesn’t quite fit in, she has a best friend Matt but he is her one and only true friend.... Stella is a single mother who wants nothing but the best for her daughter Tara, although her methods are sometimes a little questionable... Tara feels a disconnect from her mom who is gone half the week, she starts a blog to vent mostly about her mom... her mom is a fashion editor at a teen magazine so when Tara is approached by the rival magazine to publish her blog there is a conflict of interest... we also see Tara navigating her way through the teenage social scene and Stella navigate her way through the dating scene.... some secrets are revealed and the mother daughter bond is tested, but ultimately love prevails!
Tara was a darling character that you just wanted to reach through the pages and give a big hug to... Stella was a little hard to warm up to, at first she appeared very selfish, but as the book progresses you see her true heart... I really thought about what my daughter would say about me if she were venting on a blog when she was a teenager, yikes! The mother daughter relationship is complex and my daughter and I had our fair share of moments... this book was a lot of fun and it put a huge smile on my face.... The ending was perfect and I loved all the little twist and reveals along the way... Tara was a character who definitely deserved a happy ending!
Absolutely recommend if you enjoy a well told coming of age story about mothers and daughters that leans towards YA...

This book will leave you bewildered This book was a little quart room drama, a little psychological thriller, a little mystery, and a lot intriguing!
This book will leave you bewildered and unsettled and not knowing which way is up! A book about motherhood, tragedy, justice, and hope.... Astoria filled with lies, deception, terrible truths, and redemption... A book that will anger you, frustrate you, and leave you reeling....
Ripped from the headlines, Ashlyn is accused of killing her three-year-old daughter Tasha Nicole... Mercer is a journalist who is grieving the death of her husband and young daughter Sophia.... Mercer takes a job to write a true crime story about Ashlyn and so the threads of these women’s lives begin to tangle... The blurb to the story is short and sweet, so I will stop here with the plot....
Mercer is a likable and sympathetic character whose grief is palpable...Ashlyn on the other hand is unlikable, unsympathetic, and cold as ice.... but as much as I disliked her she was extremely well drawn... The ultimate unreliable narrator, because I don’t think a true word ever came out of her mouth.... A liar like no other, and she was really good at it, half the time I was convinced of her stories.... and to be honest I’m still not sure what the truth is! The girl twisted everything and I mean everything, she turned Mercer and me upside down and inside out and every other direction.... what a brilliantly deceitful character that made this book so very compelling! A book that will hold your attention from first page to last and leave you satisfied... Absolutely recommend to anyone who enjoys a thriller filled with complex characters and plenty of twists!

Loved loved loved this book!Jessica Redland I think this is the beginning of a beautiful relationship! This book was EVERYTHING I look for in a book! fabulous characters, a charming setting, an emotional heartfelt story, and a touch of mystery...
This wasn’t your typical Christmas read, and I mean that in the best possible way... yes, there were festive moments, tree lighting, Christmas decorations, and winter weather... but there was also tremendous depth to the story it evoked all the feels...
Tara was such a complex well developed character that my heart went out to... she had a rough past and had really close herself off to people.... The character growth in her was the best part of the book, I loved watching this closed off person grow into such a strong vibrant character! I also enjoyed her friendship with Carly and her blooming relationship/Romance with an unlikely character... and my review would not be complete if I did not give a big shout out to Hercules the giant house bunny, I need to Google how big this bunny could be? He really acted more like a dog then a rabbit....
The mantra of this book was Be Brave such a wonderful positive message and so true! We really all need to put ourselves out there a little bit more, I know I do! Such a wonderful story and my first from this talented author, but definitely not the last!
Absolutely recommend to anyone who is a fan of a lovely story filled with fabulous characters that will make you smile! I picked this book up for the title and I stayed for the beautiful story!

oh boy! This book! It was so dark, disturbing, and unsettling! And SO GOOD!
This book was one wild and crazy ride that took me places I was not expect oh boy! This book! It was so dark, disturbing, and unsettling! And SO GOOD!
This book was one wild and crazy ride that took me places I was not expecting! A creepy story that completely draws you in, and you are convinced you know what direction you are headed, but boy was I wrong! Secrets and lies and deceit all leaving me completely bewildered! This is the third book I’ve read this year from Lucy Dawson all have been spectacular and unique... not only unique from one another, but different from all other psychological thrillers....
This book starts with a bang! a tragic event that will change the lives of Yves, Isabel,Adam and Tim forever... the tragedy appears to have impacted Isabell the most, leaving her permanently trapped in a childlike state... this also greatly impacts the lives of eve, Isabel’s mother and Adam, the man who is in love with her... when Isabel’s life is completely upheaved, a move and the return of a blast from the past... secrets start to spill out!
Told from the alternating points of view of eve and Clare... I thought this was brilliant Eve obviously has been in the midst of all the drama from day one... but Claire is a unwitting newcomer.... can only imagine how disconcerting it would be to meet Isabell, this stunning woman with the voice of a child and perhaps the mind.... then to find out that this woman has ties to your significant other... so much manipulation and deceit running throughout the pages of this book! So hard to write this review I want to convey how much I loved this book and I don’t want to give a single thing away.... just know you will need to buckle your seatbelt for this rollercoaster... the ride to the top of the hill may take some time... but once you get there watch out! The other side is one crazy twisted ride that will leave you breathless!
Absolutely recommend to anyone who enjoys a well done perfectly paced thrill of a story!

This is the first book in a new series, featuring young newbie dete this was one twisted, dark and disturbing start to a new police procedural series!
This is the first book in a new series, featuring young newbie detective Beth Young.... The mystery was twisted, sick, and sadistic... what compels a man to stage a body with a burnt mouth and wings attached to their back? Yes, actual wings! Makes you wonder what goes on in the mind of this brilliant author, Graham Smith....
The story is told primarily from the point of view of Beth... however, we also get some creepy insight from another undisclosed character... this gruesome prime appeared to have no pattern, the victims appeared to be chosen at random.... The detectives were baffled as was I, but Beth seem to have an unusual way of puzzling crimes out...
I really like the fact that Beth was a brand new eager detective, she was not yet disheartened... however, I’m not sure that the team would have given her as much respect and responsibility as they did in this book, although it would be nice... Additionally I really had a hard time connecting two Beth... we really got very little of her backstory both personal and professional... we really didn’t get a look into her personal life at all, but there is room for that in future books and this does leave her with lots of room for growth... A solid start to a brand new series...
Recommend to anybody who is a fan of this author, this genre, or sick sadistic crimes!

I’ve read three books from this writing duo this year, and all three got a huge five stars from me! Christina LauBOOM!Christina Lauren did it again!!!
I’ve read three books from this writing duo this year, and all three got a huge five stars from me! Christina Lauren has a way of creating the most wonderful and lovable characters that you just cannot get enough of... layer that with humor and exceptional dialogue/banter and then top it off with romance, and how can anyone resist? Seriously, I see most of my thriller loving I don’t read romance friends giving this book 5 stars! I think Christina Lauren is going to turn everyone into a romance reader... they really have a gift for creating a story that almost everyone can relate to, a story that makes you feel good and puts a big smile on your face!
This is a delightful friends to lovers romance, my favorite trope! Millie is the only girl in a close group of friends, all professors at UCSB.... they all work hard, play hard, and party hard, but none of them have been terribly successful in the relationship department.... with an impending event where they need to take a date the group decides to signed up for an online dating site.... millie is close to all the guys but she is closest of all to Reid... so what’s going to happen after they have one night of friends with benefits, one half night stand? To top that off after their indiscretion “Catherine” Millie’s alter ego on the dating site is a 98% match with Reid.... so can best friends become lovers?Or maybe the better question is can Milly open herself up enough to be loved?
Love Milly I loved her sass and her sarcasm and her quiet strength... but in a rare turn of events I related to Reid more than Millie... he was emotional an open and really wanted someone to share themselves completely with him, I could see why Millie would drive him a bit crazy, because she would drive me crazy too! The rest of the gang Kris, Ed, and Alex were all fantastic characters and I am hoping that this is not the last time we see these characters, I would love a HEA in each of their futures! And my review would not be complete if I did not give a shout out to Reid’s fantastic parents! Wow there were just so many amazing characters in this book and so much going on, I just absolutely loved it! Please do yourself a favor and read this!
Absolutely recommend to anyone with a heartbeat!💗

This is the fourth book in the Josie Quinn Series, all four of the books were published this year, 2018... this is an excep BEST SERIES of the year!!!
This is the fourth book in the Josie Quinn Series, all four of the books were published this year, 2018... this is an exceptional police procedural series, filled with wonderful characters and compelling plots... they can all be read as standalones but why would you want to? They are all brilliant and each is better than the last... I think this is a series best devoured from The beginning! I just took a look at my review for the first book and I mention that I felt there was lots of room for Josie to grow as a character, and boy has she! Lisa Regan, I am expecting another four books in this marvelous series in 2019! I don’t ask for much, right?
I knew we were going to get Gretchen‘s backstory in this book.... I knew it would be dark and disturbing but WOWZA! The body of a young man is discovered in Gretchen‘s driveway with a picture of a young boy pinned to him... Josie was adamant that Gretchen had nothing to do with the death of this young man, even after Gretchen confesses.... but who is this young man and what was he doing at Gretchens house? Is a recently murdered couple connected to this in any way? Once again I put on my detective hat and tried to figure out this case along with Josie and Noah, I had plenty of theories, none of them right!
The thing I love most about this series is the amazing and well developed characters... along with the relationships they have with one another... Josie has some scars, but she is still extremely relatable... I think knowing her backstory makes it’s so easy to understand and sympathize with her.... Noah, wow he has come along way since that first book and I am so hoping that Josie and he end up in a strong stable loving relationship! Together! Gretchen has always been a bit of a mystery and I just knew she had some deep secrets, but I did not expect them to be this deep and dark.... there were times I was thinking how could one person possibly have gone through all of this? Fortunately I was wrong with some of my assumptions and grateful to find that out! SO what does a motorcycle gang, a serial killer, and a grad student have in common? Well you’re going to need to read this fabulous book to find that out, but as I said start with book one!
Absolutely recommend to anyone who is a fan of a wonderful crime thriller with plenty of twists and turns and well-developed characters...

What a fun feel good festive story full of holiday cheer and llamas! I had no idea llamas were such fascinating and lively animals.... and funny! I was laughing so hard at these crazy llamas trying to master these agility obstacles.... yes there are Lama shows with agility and fancy dress, just like a dog show, well at least they do in France.... so you might be thinking what do llamas have to do with Christmas? Well plenty especially with an owner named Noelle...
Noelle was a delightful character about to spend her very first Christmas with her amour Nick.... they are excited for quiet romantic nights by the fire, but faith has a different plan... before they know it they’re in charge of a llama show, with a house full of company with assorted issues and quirks... Noelle and Nick handled this like champs, they rose to the challenge and ended up having a very Merry Christmas indeed!
This was a unique and enchanting story that I would strongly encourage you to add to your holiday reading list!🎄🦙

I had no idea what to expect when I picked up this book, I was going to only read a few pages and before I knew it I was over halfway done and I could not put it down.... I was both captivated and repelled Buy the isolated town of Clear Haven... it was so heartbreaking to see not only Hana but all the women and children of this town being treated so poorly....
Hannah was beautiful, both inside and out... living in a secluded town with polygamy and archaic laws... Hannah is a week away from 18 and betrothed to a man twice her age who already has four other wives.... makes your skin crawl doesn’t it? Hannah has such a special bond with her siblings especially one of her sisters who has a spine abnormality... so can Hannah escape this horrible situation, when this is all she knows?
There is a magical element to the story that will mean something different to every reader, depending upon whether you take it literally or figuratively.... did Hannah literally fall from the sky or figuratively fall from the sky? Up to interpretation, but added an element of charm and/or the supernatural to the story... there are some definite lines in the story good and bad, pier and evil, I would have perhaps likeed a little more gray rather than black and white.... there is also a definite knight in shining armor, who I absolutely adored, although I would’ve liked Hannah to have figured some things out on her own, girl power and all that! These are just such nit picky things, this really was a story that completely captivated me and really made me think, can’t ask for much more than that!
Absolutely recommend, a compelling story that will make you look at things in a different light!

How could I resist a book with both the word Christmas and lion in the title? I wasn’t quite sure what to expect but this book was so much fun, I haven’t read a book about the circus in a very long time... although the majority of the story did not take place at the circus we still learn A lot about the circuits from Justine....
Justine was a wonderful character I loved how down to earth she was and how lovely her bond was with the lion, Rexus... Justine’s life is the circus, she works helping her father with the big cat show... that is until things change and the circus closes... The lion is sold to a menagerie and Justine goes along to make sure he gets settled in OK.... And so the real story begins... with Justine at this stately homes with Tom, Henry, Priscilla, grandfather, and the kids! Oh and I can’t forget the hyenas!
I loved the interactions with the lion, he was quite clever... I also loved the emerging romance... there was a fun little twist at the end and a sprinkling of mystery that I savored....
This was a fun cozy quick read that I recommend to anyone who is young at heart! A book full of lions, and romance, and Christmas, oh my!

HOT DAMN!!! This was one disturbingly dark and addictive read!
This book was claustrophobic, atmospheric, and completely engrossing.... some books you HOT DAMN!!! This was one disturbingly dark and addictive read!
This book was claustrophobic, atmospheric, and completely engrossing.... some books you read and some books you live, this was definitely the latter... I was on pins and needles throughout this book, breathing every breath and feeling every fear write along with Ella...
Ella has a secret, a secret so dark that it has her trapped in her own life... work Eat Sleep Repeat.... no social life, no friends, no romantic entanglements, but it is better than the alternative... facing her passed.... then one day she gets in a horrible accident and wakes up in the hospital and is told by the nurse that her husband will be right back... The problem? Ella doesn’t have a husband.... so who is this man? Who is this Jacob? You know he is someone from Ella’s passed, but what does he have over her? And why is she letting him play this terrifying game?
Told from both the present and the past you really get to see Ella before and after the secret that changed her life.... Ella is a very sympathetic character and the more you get to know her younger self the more you realize how much this secret event has impacted her life.... Jacob is a monster, the kind of character you love to hate! He is evil to the core and so cruel, and just when you think he can’t get any crueler he does... there is abuse in this book both emotional and physical, so if that is a trigger for you this is not the book for you...
Absolutely recommend this dark and twisted story with an ending that I definitely did not see coming...
