There is humor, love, and amazing friendships. From Wade and CC, to all the wonderful people in the town, to the super cute animals, I couldn’t get enough.
I loved meeting CC and Wade, I enjoyed their banter and ease with one another. CC is such a feisty woman, I loved her attitude and determination. I adored Wade and loved watching him grow and change. He was so much more than he seemed to be in the beginning and I loved getting to know him. Watching them come together as things change and feelings start to emerge made my heart feel full, it was playful and fun. I felt like a chuckled my way through the majority of this. There were just so many special moments happening. I loved the build to their relationship, learning their histories and them opening up. It was sweet and sexy!
The town and the people... I might love everyone just as much as I love Wade and CC. There were so many entertaining scenes with them. I loved meeting Wade's friends and enjoyed the camaraderie between them, each of the guys is charming and funny. I loved meeting some of the women that were involved and the connections and interactions with the men. Seriously, every guy needs a story, I'd read them all! I was also really intrigued by the predicament the town was in and the plan to fix it. It brought this really interesting element along with a great group of people.
Making this truly great read even more amazing, there was a secondary story happening and oh my goodness it was the sweetest most heartfelt thing ever! I was just beyond thrilled how the author set up sharing it and the different POVs. The writing was fantastic throughout and I thought the story flowed really well. This is an excellent introduction to a new series. I highly recommend it!

Ben was swoon-worthy and Madison is sweet and quirky. I liked their story, their flirting, Madison's challenge she presented to Ben, and the great dialogue between the two. There were a lot of funny scenes that had me laughing. I liked their chemistry, the fight to just be friends and watching it grow into more. I liked Madison stepping outside of her shell and really growing. There was nice progression throughout and I enjoyed the slow burn to their relationship.
It did take me a while to get into the story. It wasn't until about 30% that Ben and Madison were really clicking for me. The writing was good but it's not very in depth and some things felt glossed over. I personally was missing that element that really draws me in and hooks me.

Since meeting Jaxson in the Need You series, I have wanted his and Lucy's story. I loved learning their history and how the story is set up between past and present, there were great building details. I like the attraction that Jaxson and Lucy still have, there’s a strong pull between them that’s magnetic. Learning about Jaxson and the things he'd done, I wanted to not like him but I loved seeing present-day Jax, trying to do better and learning from his past mistakes. By the end, I loved him.
Even though Jaxson and Lucy had major chemistry, I felt this was a slow burn romance. I loved the bond of intimacy they were forming throughout the story. There was a lot of openness and honesty happening, hard truths that had to be shared - not all of them pretty - some pretty darn uncomfortable actually. I thought the author did a great job sharing these raw and real things.
I liked the build, the characters, and details. I thought it was well written but some spots felt drawn out while other things felt glossed over so sometimes the pacing was off for me. Other than that, it was a pretty great read. I loved Jaxson's redemption and finally being the man he was meant to be. I loved Lucy's strength and forgiveness, and being able to move forward. Great start to a new series!
