Texas Legacy is a story that I have been waiting for YEARS for. Now for those not familiar with Rawley or Faith and that means you are missing out on one of the best trilogies I have ever read in romance. This trilogy was written back in the late 90's but some of the best love stories. I only never knew if Lorraine Heath would write this book but when I saw this on Edelweiss I was SUPER excited especially since its a story I have been waiting on for over ten years for. That is a LONG time to wait on a story. Let me tell you. hehe
Faith is the blood daughter of Dallas and Cordeligh Leigh (who is the couple in Texas Glory) Rawley is a boy they brought into their family who was being abused and sold by his father to men. Cordelia formed a strong attachment to Rawley and they brought him into their home and raised him. Faith and Rawley were childhood friends, always playing together but then as they grew older that friendship turned into something deeper than just puppy love. But Rawley didn't feel worthy of Faith, that he was too dirty for her and so he left the only home he had ever known and left her without saying goodbye. But when his father Dallas, has a heart condition and his mother pleads with him to come home he returns home and to Faith. Faith has never completely forgiven Rawley for leaving without even a goodbye. She has loved him for years, but now they Rawley is back for good, the feelings they have for each other. But both Faith and Rawley have old wounds that need to be healed before they accept what they can have together.
Texas Legacy was such a beautifully written story and even though I was *crossing my fingers* for it to be a full novel, I am still happy that Lorraine Heath actually wrote this book because it filled my core with such happy feels. We do get some fun interactions with the Leigh Family and seeing them with their children mostly grown and how playful they are with each other. We see Dallas and Leigh still so in love and happy although fearful of the future due to Dallas' heart condition. But the focus of the story is Rawley and Faith. Faith understands Rawley's past once she learns more than he realizes that she can because Faith underwent a form of abuse by someone she trusted and she became a single mother. We do get a flashback of Rawley and Faith on the evening before Rawley left the ranch and why he left and you can see how much Rawley and Faith were into each other, they just weren't completely open to it. But when they see each other again six years later we see that they are both more mature and independent and sure of themselves. I really enjoyed seeing them reconnect and learn each other again and become open to the love that has always been between them.
I found Texas Legacy to be a fun heart filled romance to give you the tingles and the good feels. Its a story of redemption, healing and letting love in!!!A TEXAS JEWEL!!
Dane's Storm is a story that I have been seeing popping up ALLThis review was originally posted on Addicted To Romance[image]
*May Contain Spoilers*
Dane's Storm is a story that I have been seeing popping up ALL over the Audible ads and I just had a feeling that I needed to try this one out and with this being my first time reading this author I admit to feeling a bit of apprehension...as you do whenever you pick up a new author and narrators that you are not super familiar with although I do think Erin Mallon (the female narrator) I have heard before on previous books but its been a long while since I have heard her but I really love the way she narrated this book. Both of these narrators seemed to be a perfect fit for these characters and I felt like Mia Sheridan did a great job in choosing them.
Dane's Storm is a second chance love and it's such a beautifully written one. This story does contain quite a few flashbacks. Now I am all for flashbacks, but the way that these flashbacks were written into the story were a bit distracting at times and I felt it was a bit too strong however I really enjoyed having the flashbacks there, seeing what their relationship was like "before" and then the present. Now the first few pages really throw you off course, the prologue leads you to the conclusion that something disastrous happens to the heroine with how it happens and so you know as the story progresses that something big is to happen.
The story begins with our heroine, Audra, who runs her own flower shop and works with brides. She has created a co-op in her own building with other vendors to work with engaged couples and even though she is living in a house she hated, she is saving every penny to make her business a success but then life throws her a curveball. She receives a notice that her ex-grandmother in law is seizing the building for the family business, but Audra knows something is wrong because her ex-husband gifted her this building when they were married so she could have her dreams. At first, she is furious that Dane could have something to do with this seizure especially since her ex grandmother in law implies that is the case. But her good friend convinces her to contact her ex first before she makes any rash decisions. And after a week of being unable to contact him she goes to California to see him and Dante is shocked to see his ex in his office and even more shocked that his grandmother would oust Audra. Dane has never stopped loving Audra, but they fell in love when they were really young and full of hopes and dreams but it was all shattered when the baby they had together died and it tore their marriage apart and its been seven years since. But the love they have had has always been there and when they travel back to Colorado, their plane goes down into the Colorado Mountains and they have to cling to each other to survive the winter wilderness and find themselves reconnecting as they learn what is truly important in life ....
Dane's Storm was a truly emotionally and heart breaking story at times and my heart really reached out to these two. Now Dane has struggled with losing his infant son, but he faced his grief but Audra is a very different story. Audra never faced the pain and the grief of losing her baby, she put it in a dark corner of her mind and ignored it and what it did to her marriage with Dane. Audra pushed Dane away and out of her life because she couldn't face the pain or the fact that Dane was facing the grief and she could barely survive it. But now seven years later, we see that Audra is still pushing that grief away and never really facing it. What is truly beautiful is that Dane forces her to face the pain she has been in denial about and this is the moment that they really connect on a whole other level, the true intimate bond between them grows even more powerful. You come to have so much admiration for both of these characters and all the courage they hey have to overcome the past and embrace what they have built together in a storm in the mountains.
Dane is a hero to really admire though, I love how steady he is and confident and he knows that Audra is his true love and never gives up on her, she has always had his heart and when he sees her for a second time, he is going to do everything he can to keep her in his life. You see how much he adores Audra and he is so understanding even when she is always hurting him on an emotional level even without realizing what she is fully doing. But I love how he stands up for Audra and supports her no matter what happens.
Now Audra was a complicated character because there is much to admire about her. There are many aspects of her character I truly love but she was in denial about many things especially in how she treats Dane. She does have a passion for her business and for art and she is at the heart of who she is a kind and genuinely sweet person. But she is still in great pain from her loss and you see how much it affects her and what she goes through in this book to overcome that pain and face it.
The romance that we see in this book is such a powerfully written one and I was consumed by their story. I especially want to thank these talented narrators that really brought the emotion and zest of the story to vibrancy. We see these two find each other again and reconnect in the worst of circumstances and come out on top with determination, courage, and love. What these two sacrifices for each other is so heart wrenching and I loved seeing their devotion to one another and that their love is WORTH fighting for, no matter the cost to themselves.
Dane's Storm is a heartachingly beautiful romance that will break through to your emotions and to your heart and soul and give you a tale of sacrifice, loyalty and the power of true love in the face of great adversity. A HUMBLING TALE!

I have adored this series so much, some of my favorite books that this author has ever written. This Rock Chick gang is so fun and I love their friendships and how they support each other no matter what happens. Of course, with Rock Chick Reckoning I was a bit apprehensive for this book, I was sure I was quite in the right mood for a rock star romance but I picked it up because I was hoping that Kristen Ashley wouldn’t let me down and man…..SHE WON MY MOOD!!! I fell in love with this book and it might just be one of my favorite books of the year so far!! (and yes the year just started so that probably isn’t saying much) hehe
Rock Chick Reckoning begins with our heroine, Stella who is the lead singer and guitarist in the Gypsies band that remains local. Stella breathes and lives music, But there is one place in her life that she aches for….having Mace in her life. He broke up with her over a year ago and she still misses him but her life is going to run into his unexpectedly. When one of her band members girlfriend is murdered and Stella is almost killed with Mace saving her life, she is not the only one in danger.
All the Rock Chicks have their lives threatened and she knows that it won’t be easy surviving this especially with being near Mace again and all the pain he reminds her of. There is an enemy, and with the feds and the Lee Investigations team getting close to bringing down their enemy, he is coming after them with everything that he has and threatening the Rock Chicks and anyone connected to them. But Stella refuses to let this stop her from her music but this is where Stella and Mace come to terms with past mistakes and start anew with learning each other’s secrets and opening their hearts to each other.
Rock Chick Reckoning is a story that is full of emotion and action and I definitely think that this might be my favorite of the series. There was something so raw about this book that just speaks to the reader, the emotion that is immersed in this story is captivating and I wanted Stella and Mace to find the peace they both deserve. Both Stella and Mace have painful pasts: Stella with suffering abuse as a child growing up and learning to survive by living in the black. Then Mace who lose his teenage sister when she was kidnapped and was murdered as revenge against their father who refused to give himself up for her. And it broke something in Mace that he keeps hidden away.
Last night, instead of sleeping,he just lay behind her, listening to her breathe and thinking that sound was sweeter than any song he’d ever heard her sing. And his Stella had a beautiful voice, never heard better
What is the most emotional portion of the story is seeing Stella and Mace open themselves up to the pain they have suffered in the past so that they can open each other’s hearts. And I have to say that at first in the story, you have the typical bantering and fighting between Stella and Mace that we have seen with the previous couples, but it changes in such a moving way once they move past their distrusts and illusions and find out the truths about each other. This is where their relationship really grows and seeing the depth that we see is powerful. Despite the danger that they are in, we see them come to terms with who they are and the pain they have been tortured with for so long. Its truly a story that really makes you look at yourself in a different way and admire these characters and what they achieve.
My heart went into my throat. I leaned back against Luke, his arm moved to wrap around my chest and we watched two people we both cared a lot about. They were in love, they were healed and most of all, they were outrageously happy.
Overall I found Rock Chick Reckoning to be a head over heels installment that will delight and intensify your reading experience, packed with laughs and tears, its a story you won’t ever forget. UNFORGETTABLE
Rock Chick Revengeis the fifth book in this wonderful series andThis review was originally posted on Addicted To Romance[image]
*May Contain Spoilers*
Rock Chick Revenge is the fifth book in this wonderful series and I had a blast with this book. I swear that Kristen Ashley will never write a bad book EVER....every book that I read from her is simply amazing. And Rock Chick Revenge is no exception. Now I thought about giving this book a higher rating but my one complaint about this book is the handcuffing to the BED.....and leaving the heroine there, that just rubs me the wrong way. But honestly, I still LOVED this book quite a bit, despite what the hero does. Now this book I was nervous about and waiting until the end of three weeks of my loan to read it and boy it got close to losing it hehe but I read it just in time with a few hours to spare. :) This story does have a revenge plot with the heroine hating men...now she has had some bad experiences granted but I don't really like these type of gals most of the time but typical KA she won me OVER. She does no wrong in her writing style that is for sure.
Our story sets off with our heroine, Ava, who hates men and she is trying to help a friend Sissy out of trouble with her husband. Sissy is trying to divorce her husband who tried to come onto Ava in a very obvious and not so cool way. And Dom "Sissy's husband" is part of a crime family and divorcing him will NOT be easy. So Ava has one person she knows and probably the one man she doesn't fully hate, to help her out. Who could find some dirt on Dom to free Sissy from him who is currently in hiding from him. But when she arrives at his place of work, she realizes she has made a mistake, she hasn't seen Luke in years and she still loves him. Luke and Ava were childhood friends and both really cared for each other. Ava had abusive sisters and a mother who always saw her as fat and plain but Ava has worked her tail off to shave off the weight, changed her hair to prove to herself that she is worthy of Luke. And boy Luke is mad when he sees her (since he was more than fine with how she was before). But when Luke senses that Ava is in trouble he knows that he has to help her and now that she is back in his life he won't let her go. He isn't a badass alpha for nothing. But there is more danger to Ava than Luke or Lee and his team realizes and with lots of kidnappings, shootings and rock chick club shenanigans....Rock Chick Revenge is a story guaranteed to keep you on the edge of your seat.
I'm not stupid, I know your heart's involved in this and I've never, not once in all the time you've known me, given you the idea that I won't handle it with care
Rock Chick Revenge is a book that I got so many kicks and giggles out of. Its such a well-written story for sure. Now Kristen Ashley's style of writing is definitely NOT for everyone, so I know that there are some romance readers out there that will not enjoy Kristen Ashley and most especially in her way of writing alpha males. But I adore me some alpha lovin' and the way that Kristen Ashley writes her heroes are so wonderful and work for me in every way. Now I do want to mention that this hero is like all the others...they love handcuffing their women to their beds. But in this book the issue I really had, was Luke leaves for a while when he gets called away on a job and just leaves her handcuffed for hours and I just wasn't okay with that situation. Luke is a great hero though in many other ways, I love the way that he accepts Ava for who she is and has always loved her. He is a bad boy at times, and very caveman in some ways but I got a kick out of him. He wants Ava back in his life both the old Ava that was sweet and funny and the new Ava who is kick ass and keeps him entertained. I did like quite a bit their fun bantering and seeing who would win the argument. Which in hindsight, neither of them really do. It's more of a mutual compromise which is very relatable for real life.
Daisy said to me that I was trying to find ways to protect my heart but I was doing it wrong. She told me the best way to protect my heart was to trust it to someone who will protect it for me. More silence but his body went completely still. “That’s you. It’s always been you.
Now Ava is very BITTER against men and so I was worried if I would like her character much because I don't care for men haters at all. But Ava has had many bad experiences with men screwing with her in different ways so I can see why she could become bitter but when Luke comes back in her life, she starts to see that not all men are the same. Some are bad apples and others aren't so rotten. We see her emotional growth though in this one, in learning the difference and accepting the good and bad parts of herself. I did relate with her in some other ways especially in body image and all, since I think many women can relate to that. And even though she started her changes for a man, it ends up being more for herself in the end and I loved that.
Another fun aspect of the story that I always love is the SUSPENSE. I love a good action set up with lots of intrigue and suspense and boy Kristen Ashley can write suspenseful elements so well. In this book, we have different factors but I enjoyed seeing the story develop and see the pieces of the puzzle really come together in this book. And yes we get so much fun times with the Rock Chick Gang. I love all the members of this gang so far and how they support each other even if that means going against their men at times. (Although there are some men in the group too:) But they really have a strong bond and have each other's backs one hundred percent.
What I did know was that I was someone special to Luke and I always had been, just like he was and always had been to me. And that knowledge made my world tilt so much, I was certain I was going to fall off.
The romance between Luke and Ava is full of a battle of wills, lots of tension and witty bantering and hot sex of course in the only way that KA writes her love scenes. But we also see Luke and Ava come to terms with the past and build something together. They have some issues to be resolved of course, but they also both have loved each other for many years and this is their "second chance" to have something precious together. I adored the way they come together and despite the other conflicts to their story, its very well written!!
Overall I found Rock Chick Revenge to be a powerhouse of a romance....its packed with plenty of emotional punches, rock chick dramatics and tension-filled action to keep you on the EDGE all the way through!!!

What a Widow Wants is the third book in Jaxon's latest series and I am hooked on this author. I have to say, this is my first time reading this author, and I was very intrigued by this story and I am so glad I took a chance on this author because it was well worth the read, but it was very different from most regency romances I have read in the past. I did enjoy the unique spin that Jaxon pulled with this book and seeing this story develop even if I did have some issues with the story overall.
What a Widow Wants begins with our heroine, Fanny, who has just come out of mourning when losing her husband of ten years. She is not grieving him though, he was not a great husband to her. Fanny thought she loved him, but she was fascinated by his charm and rakish ways and even though there was another man that she was in love with too, she chose wrong and ended up paying for it. But three years into her marriage she had an affair with Matthew, Lord Lathbury, that was kept secret and only the two of them knew about and Matthew wanted Fanny to run away with him but she refused. She returned back to her husband, gave birth to a daughter and moved on with her life even though her heart has never forgotten Matthew. But when she comes out of mourning, Matthew enters her life determined to win her completely over and have her as his wife, she is the only woman he has ever loved. But when a truth is revealed to both of them, it could create a huge scandal and Fanny will have to choose over the risk of a scandal or true love....
There is some complex issues that are put into play in this book but I really enjoyed it although I did struggle with the whole heroine cheating on her husband even if he had countless affairs. But I did understand it to a point in some ways too. But what I really adored was seeing the hero chase the heroine with such determination. He wants her so badly and loves her and has to wait a long time to have her. But Fanny is fearful because of her first marriage and for the sake of her daughter, she wants to make sure that Matthew wouldn't hurt her too. But I didn't understand the later conflict either of the scandal and I just couldn't see why Fanny wouldn't be with Matthew when the truth comes out. I like secrets like this though because neither of them knows the truth until everything is revealed in a very shocking way and Jaxon really surprised me with this one here.
I did find their love story to be endearing though, and I really liked seeing these two find their second chance to have a future together and I really became hooked into the story. Now I will admit that there are some slow parts in the beginning, its not quite as engaging but once you get to about 30% of the book that is where it really picks up and I quickly became invested in this couple's story and wanting to see how they would find their HEA and boy with each chapter it only got better and better. The last part of the book really shocked me in some great ways, because I didn't expect that much intensity and a bit of suspense that we see happen and it was so beautifully done and I want to grab the earlier books of the series because I am falling in love with this writer's storytelling.

I just love this author because I always know that I can easily get into her books. I was very curious to see how she would handle this book here though. And it was such a great book to read here. I was really fascinated with seeing how this book evolved. It does have some enemies to lovers qualities, but its more over a misunderstanding between Max and Abigail. They fell in love when they were teenagers, but then Max was sent off to school and his father deliberately seperated them because he knew that Max was falling in love and wanted to give him distance.
And now its been many years, both Max and Abigail are older in their early thirties, and when Max comes home, Abigail has taken a position as a governess for Max's sister. We see though that both of them had tried to communicate with each other but somehow the letters never reached their intended destination. We see Max and Abigail reconnect with each other and seeing them get over their past assumptions and hurts and be honest with each other is truly refreshing. I loved seeing them find each other again and the love that has always been there between them. What I really admired about the complexities about their relationship especially since we have other factors involved. With all the distractions that could cause some contention between Max and Abigail we see that they have something vibrant and real that rises above all the negative moments that they have to face and seeing them come together in this book was simply an adventure and a fun filled journey to join them on!!! A true pleasure to read in every way!!

Summary Jonathan Lyons, a multi billionaire and adventurer of the world is beyond curious when he hears that his past mentor Dr. DeWitt has a hidden journal and artifact and left in the hands of his daughter....the one woman that has held his heart for ten years, and the one woman he hurt and betrayed more than anyone else, and he sees this as his chance to rekindle the love they once had and work toward making her forgive him for his past sins. Violet, was young and innocent and full of life when she met Jonathan, and fell in love with him while on a dig with her father. But when she found herself pregnant and thought Jonathan had spurned her and she left and now she has changed. She is stronger but now she will have to face the past again and the hurt and mistrust she feels in regards to her father and the only man she has ever loved. The Hero Jonathan Lyons, was young and in college when he met Violet and he fell hard for the young sweet girl that shared his passions in and out of the bedroom. But he made a foolish mistake and she was gone before he could go after her. He rebuilt his father's company and traveled the world, seeing all the sights he had dreamed of, but never forgot Violet and never was able to love another, she has always been a part of him. Now I really liked Jonathan for the most part, and he makes the best swoony hero especially when things get serious between him and Violet again. What I liked was how devoted and true he was even though they hadn't been together for ten years. I wanted you for myself. I've never stopped loving you. Never stopped wanting you. Every second of every day, my heart has always been yours There were these little things he did that were heartbreaking and sweet. And he never gave up trying to get her back although he would go to certain extremes sometimes. The Heroine Violet, grew up in a broken home. Her father was always gone on some dig somewhere, and her mother was drunk or sleeping most of the time. She never had the opportunity to learn about trust or love in a healthy relationship. Violet struggles with trust, because of the type of mother she grew up with. And learned to not to trust her father, and when she found herself pregnant and alone she was broken but became stronger than ever, more independent and not needing to rely on a man. She became a school teacher and learned the beauty of growing from past mistakes and moving on. What I liked about Violet was that despite her past, she has such a strong spirit, a bit too stubborn and does make some mistakes and could be a bit harsh, but you understand why she mistrusts Jonathan. Plot and Story Line Jessica Clare never ceases to amaze me and I think I will always love her writing...no matter what genre she is writing under, I always fall in love even with certain plots that I was unsure about. I will admit, that I was nervous about this one, probably why it took so long to read this. But I quickly became engrossed in this story and just didn't want to put it down. What I truly enjoyed about this one was seeing the way that the emotional drama took a serious play in this book. Now normally the heat of this series has sometimes been a bit too much but I really liked the way this story developed. I did feel that sometimes the drama between these two become a bit too much. Sometimes the heroine especially could be too harsh at times, and so there were times I wish she wouldn't be so hard toward Jonathan. I understand why, but she could be mean at times. Its the hero that really surprised me, because even though he could be arrogant and outrageous with his money, he was kind and devoted to her in such a beautiful way. From this moment on, you're fully mine. Body and soul. The Cover I love the gold colors here....I have a weakness for gold covers, probably because they are so rarely used and I like the shape of the heart in form of jewelry here. Overall View Romancing The Billionaire is such a beautiful story in many ways....the emotion, the adventure of searching for hidden treasures and seeing these two finding love again with the classic writing of this author that draws the reader in!! Never think for a moment that I don't love and adore you

Summary Eleven year old Creed and six year old Sylvie became close friends coming from homes that weren't what any child should be raised in. They formed a close tie to each other. As the years went by the feelings of friendship grew into something more intimate. But right when they had everything sorted and their life together guaranteed, their lives were torn apart. Its been sixteen years later and Sylvie although she has managed to make a good life for herself, hasn't fully recovered from the past. Sylvie works for Knight, protecting his girls. But when the girls start to become abused and roughened up, Knight wants answers. And he partners Sylvie with a outside element...a man she never thought she would see again....Creed. Both Creed and Sylvie have a past together but if they want to find out who is responsible for abusing these women, Creed and Sylvie will have to work out the past and will these two discover that they do have a future after all they have gone through? Plot and Story Line Creed was a heart wrenching romance that can tear the reader's emotions in two. I quite adored the way that Kristen Ashley writes these. Creed is definitely not for the faint of heart. Our heroine Sylvie has gone through some tough times. She has had to build a strong shell around herself. She is tough as steel until she sees Creed who is the crack in her armor.
some people get to live life. some people survive it. We're survivors. We can carve out our pieces of happy...But we're foolin' ourselves if we think we can set aside the shit that happened to us, the shit done to us, the shit we've done and move on. It'll be with us forever. We just gotta learn to live with it. We bury it, deny it or pretend it isn't there, we're fucked. It'll surface and tear us to shreds. We acknowledge it and keep on keepin' the fuck on, and we'll be good
I actually really liked the way Ashley wrote this book. We get the occasional flashback to their childhood, seeing their relationship and see what tears them apart. But we also see how they put the pieces back together and find their own kind of happiness even if its sixteen years late. Kristen Ashley has such great talent to tug at the reader's emotions and the characters she writes are so realistic.
Just you wait, baby. Didn't live free and easy. Didn't feel totally alive. Not without you. But I got my kids and I had something to live for, work for, keep goin' for. Now I got it all
This story is raw, vivid and portrays a love story that will break you heart while at the same time invigorating the reader. I honestly can't ever get enough of this author and Creed is evidence of that. Now its definitely different from Knight, I did like Knight way more. I think my issue was the heroine. I did struggle with her personality at times, she isn't the type of heroine Ashley normally writes. But I loved and adored Creed, he is such a yummy and delicious alpha male. And the way he is with his kids is so precious. And despite the serious stuff....there is a lot of play and teasing and fun times that bring a smile to your face. Not a book you want to resist picking up!! The Cover Now for those that haven't read this, the cover may seem ordinary. But I like that it connects with the story in a way. Overall View Creed is a complex heart tugging romance that captivates and warms you inside and out.....sizzling and poignant!!

From Duke Till Dawn is the first book in Eva Leigh’s “The London Underground” and I was super excited for this book especially after reading the third installment in the series “Dare To Love A Duke” and where I was charmed by Alex and I really wanted to read his story and was delighted when I saw this book available at my local library. I had a fun time with this book although I do want to mention that the beginning of story is a bit stunted and might throw the reader off, I recommend sticking with the story because it does improve the more you read.
She wouldn't have believed such an honorable, principled man would make love to her like he was born for the task. As though his only desire was to give her unending pleasure
The Duke of Greyland has never fully gotten over the one woman that he fell in love with who was a widow in need and they had a passionate one night stand but then she disappeared and he never heard from her again. But when his two friends drag him to a gambling club, he runs into Cassandra again and he is shocked to see her alive and well. But then Alex learns that Cassandra is not the woman he thought she was, that she was never a widow and that she played him all those years ago, since she is highly experienced at being a swindler to survive and Alex is furious.
I'd been like an automaton, going through the paces of my life mechanically, dutifully. But you've taken me from the confines of my comfortable, familiar world and introduced me to danger, and excitement and a giddy sort of joy.
Cassandra, was born on the streets and she had to learn how to survive in the best way that she knew how by pick pocketing, or stealing so that she wouldn’t have to deal in prostitution unless she had no choice. She has grown up working with thieves and swindlers. She is currently working with a man who taught her to swindle and is like a father to her and in their current venture planning on setting somewhere else and have a fresh start. But then she runs into Alex again and when he learns the truth he is feeling betrayed and she is the cause of that betrayal and she has never felt remorse until now because she loves Alex and has never forgotten him after all these years. But when she is betrayed herself and her father figure abandons her and many other relying on the money they gathered together in their gambling club venture, if she wants to survive she will need to go to Alex for help and hope that he will forgive her one day.
He was everything she dared to dream of but could not allow herself to expect
From Duke Till Dawn, was a enjoyable read, and it may not be my favorite from this author, but I had a fun time with this story but it did take a while before I started to really enjoy it. Its a page turner, so no worries are being able to get into the story but it did start out a bit strange for a second chance romance. There wasn’t any flashbacks (which I was alright with) but it was the way the story was told that seemed a bit unbalanced in the first third part of the book. But then something changed and this is when the story really started to work for me. I really loved the growth of the characters in this book. Cassandra learns about regret and committing wrongs and the guilt that comes with taking advantage of other’s generosity. And Alex learns about the lives about those that live in the underground of London, about poverty and desperation and what some people will need to do in order to survive. He learns the value of forgiveness and redemption. I adored seeing these two grow together and learn to accept one another and their pasts.
You're the woman I love. Courageous. Strong. Wickedly intelligent" He touched his fingertips to the underside of her chin, holding her reverently. "I want all of you. And I want to give you all of me"
From Duke Till Dawn is a story that is packed with adventure, mystery, emotional growth and a sexy romance that is pure sensation!!
The Day of the Duchess is the third book in her most latest series, but I will admitThis review was originally posted on Addicted To Romance[image]
The Day of the Duchess is the third book in her most latest series, but I will admit its been awhile since I have managed to pick her up. This is [image]the first of the series I have read, and I am so intrigued by these five sisters. They are robust, entertaining, unique and quite fun to read. I loved their banter and how loyal they are to each other and the different ways they look out for each other. The Day of the Duchess features Seraphina. And my what a most beautiful and unique name right. Well our story starts off with Seraphina requesting a divorce to be issued through parliament, and what a scandal that would be for a woman to ask in this time. But really, there is only one man that could give this to her, the man she wants a divorce with. A man she hasn't seen in years, the man she left and abandoned years previous. Seraphina and Malcolm were married out of convenience, and Seraphina and Malcolm hurt and betrayed each other after falling deeply in love with each other. They kept secrets from each other until it was too late. Then when Seraphina learned she couldn't have any more children after a painful miscarriage, she left for America. Malcolm has never been able to forget his wife, he has searched everywhere for her for years. But when she returns to England, he refuses to give her a divorce....he means to make her fall in love with him again no matter what.
Our lovely Duke is pretty deceptive in some ways but he does have a good heart with earnest intentions to prove to his duchess to take a risk and a chance on him and on the love they once shared. But Seraphina has suffered quite a bit of pain and doesn't trust Malcolm. So there is quite a bit of mistrust and pain that is between them. It was so entertaining this book....and I was swept away by their lively bantering, the machinations of Seraphina's sisters and the charming and fiesty cat. And then we also have a side built up story of Cam (The American) and Sesily which leads to a future book---according to the author. Our hero hatches up a plan, have his duchess choose his next wife to be (a woman he never plans to marry since he plans on keeping Seraphina) but Serpahina doesn't know that yet but she knows he has something up his life. But Seraphina wants to be free, to fully own a tavern in Convent Gardens and to be the sparrow the sings and charms the crowd.
Sarah Maclean did a fantastic job with this book, and I have fallen in love with her writing again. I really adored seeing this book pull me write in from the beginning. Although I will say the middle of the book felt a bit flat for me at times, and I had a hard time concentrating on the story. But the beginning the latter half of the book were so fantastic. I was charmed by this second chance romance, seeing this couple reconnect and fight and share some powerful kisses that are more than swoonworthy. I honestly didn't expect this book to turn out the way it did so MacLean definitely gave it a nice twist you don't expect to happen. And man I want to mention the emotion of this book. ALL THE FEELS Folks!!! Especially the ending here, simply left me so happy and smiling. You are perfect.” She closed her eyes at the sting of the words. “I am deeply flawed.” He stayed still and silent until she opened them again. “Your flaws are perfect. A map of where we have been.” She caught her breath at that we. At how much she wanted it to be true. He went on, “I have dreamed of you here. Look up. Look at us. Look at how beautiful you are. Watch how I worship you.” Overall The Day of the Duchess is a fantastic work from this author that captures your attention, makes you laugh and smile, and gives the reader a belly full satsifying romance!!

Summary Margot Armstrong, was shocked when her father forced her to marry a wild highlander, Arran McKenzie. She didn't feel like she fit in, in a world she knew nothing about and a life she felt fear right around the corner. So against her better judgement, she abandoned her husband and returned to England. Its been three long years, and she has returned in a not so honorable way. Her father has coerced her that she must discover if her husband is a traitor to the crown. She she has been sent to win back his affection and learn the truth. But with each day that passes, Margot regrets everything she has done that has deceived Arran, a man that she admires and is starting to fall in love with. Arran doesn't trust Margot or her "return" after being gone for three years. He had finally managed to get over losing his wife and now she has returned and he knows he can't trust anything she says. But as desire flares between them and the lines of lust and love become blurred, there is a plot again Arran, and soon they will have to take a leap of faith in order to survive the treachery among those Margot's loves the most. Plot and Story Line Wild Wicked Scot is the most latest novel from our esteemed Julia London and a great beginning to a new historical series. In Wild Wicked Scot I fell in love in a way that I never expected. Now I will say this, the heroine is the only aspect of the story I didn't like. She was really difficult at times, and selfish and spoiled especially in the beginning. So I had a hard time liking her at least until the later part of the story. In Wild Wicked Scot, I feel like one of the major aspects of the story that makes you fall in love is how her character changes. She starts out as one you can't stand but turns out to be quite wonderful in the end.
Uncle Ivor once told Arran that there was nothing more dangerous to man than a woman. "No beast, no plague, no pestilence," he'd said jovially from his perch on a rock as they'd stalked red deer. "Men live and die for them, lad. You'll see what I mean when you've come of age, aye? The trick is to find a steady one and keep her close."
She changes through the story, and she does see the error of her ways and does what is right when it really matters. Now our hero....he is simple fantastic and sees right through Margot from the beginning. I liked that he didn't just 'believe' she wanted a reconciliation since it had been three years and hadn't heard a word from her. But we see through the story that he has always cared for it, but didn't know how to show it. We see the various ways the characters are tested to their limits in this one. I loved the espionage theme we have going on here. It really added some intensity to the plot and the writing was superb in this one. I honestly read this in one sitting, it was so dang good. Even though I had some issues with our heroine, the writing just pulled me in and I didn't want the story to end. I am very curious to see how the second book connects to this one.
"But in this, you must trust me. Arran, for heaven's sake, you must, at last, trust me. I love you, and not because our fortunes are aligned. Because in this little lodge, you taught me what is important. You taught me what it meant to care for someone. I don't care about balls and society. I care about how many potatoes the earth will yield, and how I might mend the hole I put in your shirt, and if you will love your child as much as you love those wretched dogs at Balhaire."
He bowed his head, sighing in relief. "Margot...Diah--"
She took his face in her hands and made him look up at her. "You became the beginning and the end of my world here, and I choose you. I will always choose you."
The Cover Such a beautiful and tenderly romantic cover!! I really love the blue colors and the pose is sexy yet sweet too. Overall View Wild Wicked Scot is a vividly pictured romance that is a winning story that shows the tests of trust, desire and fighting for what is right. COMPELLING ON EACH PAGE!!

Summary Chasidah, was once highly respected as a ships pilot of the sixth fleet, but when someone spread lies about her, she was wrongfully convicted of crimes that she didn't commit, and sent to a prison world but she managed to escape with the help of a man that is a ghost to her: a man she thought she cared for deeply but yet was her enemy: Gabriel Sullivan. He offers to help her escape in return for her badass and creative knowledge to disband breeding labs that are killing innocent women in a very brutal way. Chasidah, knows the harm they these labs could create, but through their journey they discover treachery of those they trust and that these plans go very high in all forms of military and government. Very few can they trust. But Gabriel and Chasidah will rekindle old flames and find a love worth fighting and even dying for... The Hero Gabriel Sullivan, or also known as "Sully" is a pirate, rogue and managed to fake his own death so he could be a "ghost". Sully has a past where if the knowledge was fully revealed, then he would be hated and despised by many including the one woman he has held his heart for. Gabriel is a man that is alpha when he needs to be, proud, a fighter and cunning and over protective especially of his closest friends. Sully is a hero you could cheer for, I loved him to pieces. It was quite fun to see more and more depths to his character come shining through the story. and man, the more you learn about him, the more you like. Even though he does keep some things about himself a secret, I understood fully why. The Heroine Chasidah, grew up being raised by her mother who was a fighter herself. She is a heroine that is passionate and a fighter and doesn't back down from a fight. I loved how courageous and brave she could in the most toughest of conditions. For the most part she is fairly level headed but can be quite stubborn about certain things. I did feel that she held things against Sully "too long" and Ren had to beat some sense into her every once in a while. I did love her personality---it was sassy yet sweet at times. I did like how practical she was and saw the bigger picture and could get the group of them out of trouble pretty quickly. Plot and Story Line I am so glad I was able to pick this book up, and it reminded me why I love sci fi romance and wow it has been way too long since I have picked up this genre. Gabriel's Ghost is the first book in this series, and its a story of a mix of enemies to lovers and second chance romance tropes. Our hero has been in love with Chasidah for seven years, and I loved how he fights for her even when she is being a bit unforgiving at times and unaccepting of who he is.
You have all of me. All that I am is yours.
He does keep secrets from her, but in all honesty, I supported the reasons why. We see how much his "kind" is despised and literally hated, so the last thing he wants is the woman he would die for to hate him too. So he gives her the truth in increments. I respected this aspect of his character, because you see how torn he is many times through the book so my heart just ached for him and the kind of life he has had to live.
Chasidah. Angel. I love you beyond all measure. That is the only real truth.
Also one of the side characters...Ren is amazing with his long blue hair and six webbed fingers. He is a bit of a sweetie, and a romantic at heart because he is always helping these two get past their issues. We see the story through the heroine's POV---so we see how she deals with situations and even though she does make mistakes, I did like she owns up to them and makes up for it. The romance between these two was simply perfect---very sweet and tender and quite a few tear jerking moments. This aspect really surprised me because I was expected such a soft side to their relationship especially considering the intense tone of the plot with them in danger constantly. It does leave us with a HFN type of ending, I do know that book 2 is a continuation of this same couple so I am pretty excited for that. The Cover LOVE it!! Its the perfect sci fi romance cover....sensual and so blue Overall View Gabriel's Ghost is a intense and action packed romance that takes us across the galaxy and into a world of redemption, love and fighting for what is right over what is easy!

Summary Imogen once knew and truly cared for Collin Talmage, and even though she had little choice when she was innocent, he showed her tenderness and passion. She never though she would see him again, but Collin came back to England damaged, and as a nurse she aided in his recovery. But circumstances forced her to make a new life for herself, where she married a man who was sickly but a good friend to her and offered her a stable future and a chance to make a difference. Now Imogen is a widow, but goes out of her way to help those in need whether they be starved children, or abused prostitutes or injured veterans or even thieves who want a different kind of life. But her new neighbor isn't pleased with her at all. Imogen knows exactly who Collin is but he has no clue that she is the one girl he has been searching for years for, the one woman he gave his heart to. Collin and Imogen have sparks that fly between them, but Imogen wonders if she can tell this dangerous man the truth of their past or is it too late for them to have a future? Plot and Story Line Kerrigan Byrne just keeps surprising me with this series, with each installment I keep falling into the world she has created and what a world of danger and passion and the depth of true humanity that is divulged in these books. In The Duke, her most recent release we have a story of lost love and discovery. Imogen and Collin have a past with each other and there are some secrets too but its quite complicated so its not so black and white as it might appear to be. Imogen has a heart of gold, and she gave her innocence and her heart to Collin. But Collin has lived through a hell of his own. Returned to England, created his own fake hand for the one he lost in order to escape alive out of the hellhole he was in. Now when these two meet up again they are next door neighbors but Collin is quite hostile at first. He doesn't realize that Imogen and the woman he knew as "Ginny" are one and the same. Tempers fly and these two go at it like cats and dogs....or some weird mating ritual because they also have powerful chemistry. I loved the bantering these two have with each other. Its quite lively and highly entertaining. Such a delight to partake of this author once again. She is unique and simply talented. She writes stories that are captivating and not what most HR authors writes now and that is what I love most about her. Its fresh and fun with dark edges that keep you coming back for more. I can't wait to see what is up next. The Cover What a drop dead gorgeous cover...I swear they just keep getting better and better. I love her white flowy dress, and the way he holds her from behind. Overall View The Duke is evidence of the pure and unique talent that is Kerrigan Byrne. A story of love that isn't easy and a romance that packs a punch to your heart!! INCREDIBLE!!

Summary Evangeline and Hardley fell in love at a young age, and right when they were ready to elope and get married, Evangeline's mother sold her into marriage to a man who treated her like a slave in every way. Now its been five years, she has a young son who has never known his real father but Evangeline is determined to make sure she sees Hardley once again even though she feels hurt that he never tried finding her. Hardley, has no idea of the horrors that Evangeline suffered. He believed that she made her own choice is marrying another man even though she professed her love for him. He has spent five years with the hurt and betrayal of that day when all his dreams and his love for her were crushed. But then these two meet when their mutual friends set them up at a dinner party. In the process of hashing out the past and trying to deal with new circumstances there is a killer on the loose, a woman who wants all members the libertine scholars killed because of acts committed against her by their fathers. Plot and Story Line oh yes I have such love for this author, and she adds some unique elements to a era that is overdone by many and she definitely stands out from the crowd. I love her writing and her love stories she pens and this story was no different. Now I hadn't read the previous book (although I do have it collecting dust on my kindle), so I was uncertain if I would be a bit loss. And not really, I was more curious about what had happened in the previous book of course, but it didn't detract my enjoyment of this one. However, I do recommend at least reading the first couple of books, as there are certain elements to the plot that will make more sense if you do. "so read at your own risk or suffer the consequences of confusion". What I did find most wonderful about this book was the actual romance between Evangeline and Hardley. We see a prologue of what they were like when they were young and in love before everything fell apart. Then we see how they have changed over the five years. And some of the changes aren't positive. Both are wary of each other especially, and hurting in different ways.
"Love" was a scary word---easy to spell, easy to define, easy to say, but very difficult to believe. When you found love, you had to have faith it was reciprocated. She prayed he would love her enough...
There were some heart felt moments in this book though that I found a bit heart breaking. These two were torn apart unwillingly from each other because of greed and I just savored every moment seeing them find their way back to each other. It was interesting to see how events played out in this book, and we do get a bit of a teaser involving our next and I think last couple of the series. I do feel that as far as the "suspense" points of the series plot is slowly drawing to a close and I have a feeling book six is going to keep us on the edge of our seats for sure!!! I have no clue what Evan's has planned, but if its anything like the previous books I have had a chance to read so far I am super stoked to find out. The Cover Oh I could gush over this cover all day and not get enough of it. It's so pretty I could put it on my wall just to look at it. I love the purple tones and sexy dip here!!! Overall View A Taste Of Seduction is a well written romance that adds intrigue, mystery and suspense within every chapter. It will excite, delight and intrigue you to the end of love and passion and true test of will!!! SUPERB

In Kiss Me In Christmas we have a story that bring two old flames back together despite the mistrust and anger that still reside between them. Chloe O Connor, is a esteemed actress and has worked hard building her career. But when her character gets killed off a show, she decides to take a step back and return back home for a time. Easton McBride, after suffering a leg injury that ended his military career settled back in Christmas, a small town in Colorado. He is surprised when Chloe returns, a woman he loved and one who also hurt him the most. Tensions are high between Easton and Chloe. Chloe has a plan....to help get her sister Cat and Easton back together because in her mind Cat's fiancee isn't the right one. Easton's plan...distract Chloe away from her plan to break off things with Cat and Grayson. But plan have a habit of not working out the way you expected.
In Kiss Me In Christmas we have a story that as I started reading it...I was nervous. Chloe is a character that grows on you, she is a bit high maintence, and a bit of a hypocondriac. Which was definitely different to see in a romance like this. But as I chugged along through the story I grew to really love her character and man she ended up being my favorite to be honest. Easton is a great hero, very stubborn and high handed at times but delicious too!! He handles Chloe very well and it seems he is the only one that can keep her calm and relaxed. I didn't care for Chloe's family in this book, and yes she made mistakes in the past but jeez...ten years have gone by. Its obvious through the story that her twin sister is the family favorite (and I hate it when parents favor other children above the rest, drives me nuts since my parents are that way so I really felt a connection to Chloe on that side of things). The romance was heartwarming and sweet. I couldn't help but smile all the way through reading this story. And another aspect I loved was seeing how this author didn't focus the story around sex. Yes y'all heard me the first time!! It was so refreshing to just sit back and relax into a sweet and fun love story...where the emotional intimacy of the relationship was a major factor. But don't worry there was some delicious kisses you can still swoon over!!
Overall a satisfying romance that curled my toes and makes me eager for the next book...crossing my fingers for Jill's story though!!
"I thought you couldn't carry anything after hauling my fat butt out of the water."
Easton really didn't want to go there right now. Not while he was trying to get an image of Chloe in the shower out of his head. "Your butt isn't fat, but if you don't get it in the cabin right now, you can carry your own bags to your room."
Chloe smoothed her hand over her ass and glanced up at him through her long, spiked lashes. "You really don't think it's too big?"
He bowed his head and groaned.
"Okay, okay, I'm going." She walked in, then came to an abrupt stop in front of him.
He bumped into her. "What now?" he muttered, dropping the bags to rub his leg.
Her gaze flitted around the cabin. "Your place is, um, very cozy." She gave him a concerned look. "Is everything okay with you?"
Cozy? He held back a grin. The cabin was about six hundred square feet and barely habitable, but it worked for him. Last week, he'd approved the final plans for the home he was building a couple hundred yards from the cabin. He was breaking ground in ten days and hoped to move in by the end of summer. Not that he'd share the news with Chloe.
"Leg's a little sore, but yeah, I'm good."
She nibbled on her bottom lip. "No, that's not what I meant." She gestured to the beat-up brown couch and the battered stove and refrigerator. "Are you having financial problems?"
Considering what he had planned for her, it was best that she thought he was. "Medical expenses tapped me out, but I live off the land, so it's all good." He picked up her bags and walked past her. "You can take the bed." A brown curtain separated the bedroom from the living space.
She followed him. "That's very nice of . . . That's not a bed; it's a mattress on the floor." She patted the wall. "Where's the light switch?"
"There isn't one." He struggled to keep the amusement from his voice. He should have hidden a camera to film her reaction. Especially when he responded to the next question he had no doubt she'd ask.
She looked around the room, then leaned back to search the outer area. "Where's the loo?"
"Loo? Don't think I have one of those," he said. Her fake British accent ticked him off.
She sighed. "A bathroom, Easton. And of course you have one. I just want to know where it is."
"Oh, sorry, I don't speak Brit. But yeah, I do. Out the door to your right and back about ten yards."
"The front door is the . . . " Her gaze jerked to his.
He grinned. "Yeah, we call it an outhouse here in the good old U. S of A."

But what a delightful story, this was despite a couple of things I had issues with. The story starts off with out hero, who has quite a bit of money and power but he needs his wife. His wife, Ava a professional dancer, ends up injured in a car accident, and she receives brain damage. Loses her memory at various moments and in one fatal day, their son she forgets about while out shopping. From that moment, she left her husband and son, her heart full of regret and guilt and knowing that she is a danger to her son. Its been a few years now, and her husband has come back for her. Malcolm misses his wife, but his priority is his son. He will do anything for him, and what his son wants and mostly needs is a mother.
Malcolm is a bit of a alpha male but with a mix of a beta, he takes charge when its needs to happen. What was most intriguing was the set up of the story. Seeing a married couple, go through some rough times, and get back together and begin reconnecting with each other. I loved that, and the sweet reunion with her son was quite poignant. I almost cried, it was too sweet. The romance is explosive and not just in the bedroom. They tend to argue (a lot) and to be honest it got a bit too much for me. It seemed a bit repetitive constantly, it was over the same issue. The heroine is so stubborn and prideful. I understand her reasons behind it, and my heart did ache for her as I was reading. But I also admired Malcolm for sticking to his guns, and standing firm against her reasons.
A likeable romance of a journey of guilt, regret and a healing love. ...more
After reading the first book of Legal Briefs, I was super eager to pick this one up!!! I had such a fun time with this one. What was most enjoyable was the bantering that these two engaged in. Brent Mason and Kennedy Randolph once liked each other and more, but misunderstandings of the past drove them apart. Now they are facing opponets in a courtroom. But as they face off, the secrets of the past unravel and they learn the truth and learn to open up to each other and find love that was always beneath the surface.
What an incredible romance that this one turned out to be. I liked it way more than book one. Even though there is some fun bantering with a bit of angst, it didn't have an "angst" feeling at all, and it didn't last very long. I liked seeing these two become honest with each other. It was simply delightful to see Brent court Kennedy, and the sweet and romantic things he does for her. We have quite a few heated smexy times too---and boy it gets hot enough to fog up the windows for sure.
A heartwarming and sexy romance that you won't want to put down!!! SIMPLY FANTASTIC

This book sets up in a way that we begin to see the drama that resides between these two families. Callie and Finn oncce worked together in the military, and became the closest of friends, but the timing wasn’t right for them to pursue their relationship romantically. Now Callie is the legal guardian of her nephew and has come to Finn for a safe haven until her nephew can testify in a crime he witnesses. Callie has always despised ranches and cowboys, but Finn is a man she has always loved. Both Finn and Callie begin to reconnect with each other, and we see the affectioin and friendship that has always resided between them both. Then we see the chemistry build and loved seeing them work through past issues.
This is a romance that is slow building and has some added elements that made me love it even more. We have a dog, some baby puppies, a crazy parrot that has watched too many crime movies, a adorable little boy and his endeavor to save his three friends in foster care who are about to be seperated and thrown back in the system unless something can be done for them. Then we have a old lady that once owned the spread that Finn bought, and wants to be a “grandmother”. A crazy feud interferring with the romance between Finn and Callie and some interesting flair of dramatics makes for quite a fun and sexy read with a Christmas tone to the story that has me so ready for the holidays!! By the end I wanted to start listening to some christmas tunes and setting up the lights.
There were some portions of the story that felt a bit slow at times, but overall it was a romance that was enjoyable and sweet with a small town feel to it. Perfect for a comfort read on a cold winters night....more

I have been meaning to read this series for the longest time and I just knew that I needed to try her out and so I decided to grab up Beguiling The Beauty through the Audible Romance Package which is the first book in her Fitshugh Trilogy. I will admit that first off, if I had known about the narrator I might have just grabbed this book from my local library, since I know they have it in print because it took 50% of the book before I starting to grow accustomed to the narrator and eventually like it. I am not sure what it was about her, its not like she had a bad voice or anything, but she just didn't "pull" me into the story like most narrators do for me. So it was a bit lacking in that area and is the main reason why this book doesn't reach a five star rating.
When the Duke of Lexington first sees Venetia Easterbrook, he is fascinated and is almost obsessed with Veneteia. She is the most beautiful woman of the Ton and seems to be in a loving marriage and knows he can never have her but will love her from a distance. The years pass, and Venetia becomes a widow twice over with two husbands and Christian wonders what happened to the mysterious woman who has held his heart for ten years. Venetia hasn't had the easiest ten years of her life, or the luckiest with the men she married. The first being self absorbed and committed suicide while leaving her with a mountain of debts and blaming her for a childless marriage. Then her second husband she had a marriage of friendship and affection but her husband was gay. Now she is a widow and is fascinated with history especially those of animals and naturalist.
While exploring the America's with her family, she goes to a seminar where Christian, the Duke of Lexington and talks about the beauty of a woman and mentions her and her marriage situation and not in the best light. So Venetia, with the encouragement of her sisters comes up with a plan of revenge. That she will make Christian fall in love with her and then she will break his heart. But soon Venetia realizes her plan to hurt Christian in the way that he hurt her.....may just be disastrous for Venetia because she is falling in love with Christian and she dreads the day when he will come to hate her.
Now onto the story...this book was pretty wonderful to read and boy it had so much depth and detail and Sherry Thomas KNOWS her history and you can tell once you start reading this that MORE regency romances need to be written like this one here. It had such vitality to it that snatches up the readers attention and you can't help but become intrigued by the story and the setting and these characters that tug at your heart strings. I was very impressed with the writing style of Sherry Thomas because we see what how much she really puts into this story and it almost had a feel of a older style romance and I am so grateful that Sherry Thomas writes in this way because too many recent regency style romances just are not enough "pizazz" for me to enjoy anymore but "Beguiling The Beauty" was superbly written and delivers in all the right areas for a historical romance.
I was very intrigued by the set up of this story and even though revenge plots aren't always my favorite trope to read in a romance, it really works for this book. I was pulled into this story where we see the heroine and hero come together in a unqiue scenario and fall in love with each other and find a way to get past the secrets and misunderstandings and find a love worth fighting for. From their sensual meet ups on the voyage back to England, to the letters that Christian writes to Venetia and the way that Venetia practically stalks Christian and meets up with him dancing in his arms or talking artifacts just to be close to him. We see how much they deserve a chance to find some happiness together and their road back to each other is unconventional but worth the fighting and tension to make it happen and boy the ending was so endearingly sweet.
Overall I found Beguiling The Beauty to be a stunning story that delivers a sweeping tale of desire, adventure and the test of true love!! INSPIRED AND DETAILED!
