Damien has been on the hunt for Alexa, for personal reason and will do anything to get her. Alexa, is daring and bold, but conservative when she needs to be. But she has a weakness for being reckless at the worst times. When Lord Falon, dares her at the gaming table, she takes him up on it, but she loses her hand and must either pay up a fortune which will only raise questions from her brother or spend a night in Damien’s bed. Alexa is cunning and crafty at certain times, so she leads Damien along. But Damien is no fool and gives her an ultimatum. When her brother finds the truth, and a duel is about to happen, Alexa reluctantly agrees to a marriage of convenience. She knows she has little choice, if she wants both men to live. She feels desire with Darien, so she hopes her marriage won’t be terrible. But soon she is drawn into a game of spies between the English and the French and she may have to choose who she trusts more….the British or her husband because their lives may depend on her future actions.
The Hero Damien, Lord Falon, has been away from home for quite a while. Damien having traveled and battled, he has come home but not for the most noble of reasons. His brother was killed and he blames Alexa Garrick. He believes she is the reason behind his brothers death, and has come back for revenge. But little does Damien realize, that not everything is as it seems. Alexa is a far cry from the conceited girl he was expecting to find. Alexa is bold, reckless, and gorgeous. His plan is to seduce her and drop her and destroy her reputation. But his emotions are coming close to the surface for this unique woman he can’t seem to get out of his mind. Damien is a alpha male that is for sure. And boy do I love heroes like Damien. Brooding, arrogant and commanding. What was most unique about his character was seeing the way he changes throughout the story. From a man out for revenge to a man with a heart and willing to protect those he loves the most.
The Heroine Alexa Garrick, is quite a spoiled by her brother and tends to get away with many things. At first, I liked her…she is spontaneous, has a spirit for adventure but is way too reckless for her own good. She never thinks before acting and quite frankly it got a bit old. There were many likable traits about this heroine, but in all honesty, I couldn’t really love her character because she tended to have this mindset that nothing would go wrong with the decisions she made. There were some actions that she takes that I didn’t agree with at all, and I couldn’t see why she would do them. And she makes the same mistakes over and over again. However, there were some unqiue qualties to her character that I couldn’t help but find endearing in the end. Even when she makes mistakes, she owns up to them. Deep down, she has a heart of gold, and feels emotion in its barest of forms.
Plot And Story Line Devil’s Prize was quite a unique story and one that I just couldn’t gobble up fast enough to my liking. Kat Martin has always been a fun author to read, and I can’t believe I haven’t read her more especially after reading Devil’s Prize. I always love the set of a gambling game gone wrong, especially when the heroine has to pay up. It adds delicious complexities you don’t see coming at first but I always have fun with the after effects of certain choices that are made.
In Devil’s Prize we have a story that have certain twists that blew me away. I mean honestly, I really tried to make sure I didn’t reveal much as far as the actual plot because I want my readers to be surprised when and/if they pick this one up. Because WOW…..did Kat Martin really shock me to the core of a twist of events and plot lines. I didn’t expect to see what happens…but does and this story really rocked my world. We also see quite a bit of challenge that these two characters end up facing. Because quite frankly, their relationship is quite unsteady in the beginning. There is hardly an trust (no surprise really) but then they are both tested of their loyalties…..and if they don’t prove themselves in the right way they might end up dead. So there is tension, suspense and quite a bit of drama from beginning to end. But the type of story I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. I was warmed by the secondary characters….characters that have a story in this trilogy that I HAVE to get a hold of as soon as possbile, because if its as good as this one turned out to be, I am in for a wild ride of adventure and mystery.
The romance starts off with powerful chemistry, these two know how to connect on a primal level and Kat Martin displays this side of their relationship in a way that gives you goosebumps. Then we see a turn of events, that challenges them in a almost brutal way. My heart just about broke apart with these two. And despite some misgivings I had about the heroine at times, I really loved this story and every twist and turn the authors gives us. What was most intriguing was having two settings in the story equally. I didn’t expect that and I just soaked it all up because I found the flow to be gentle and smooth and the transitions to be well written that I found no off kilter discrepancies.
What a wonderful story Kat Martin has given us, and I would highly recommend to any historical romance lover.
The Cover What a gorgeous cover. There are two covers, this one is the most latest and was the actual cover of the book I obtained. I love the vibrant reds in this, it adds that sense of passion and danger that the story is full of.
Overall View Devil’s Prize is a magnificent story that takes us from the streets of london, to the countryside of England and to the beautiful city of Paris. Vibrant, sizzling, and dramatic….romance lovers won’t be able to get enough of Devil’s Prize...more

Its been years since I have read Lavinia Kent, but this surprised me in how well I liked the tone of it. This ia story where we see Dante and Rhea grow in their relationship. We see them arrive in England, and at first we see them settle in their marriage, taking time to get ready to meet Rhea's parents. But then shockingly her father arrives in London, and what a sweet reunion Rhea has with her family. At first tension is high, and Dante is forced to prove himself. But finally they do accept him and love him as their own. Rhea and Dante journey up north to his family's estate and this is where the story really escalates with intensity and emotion. Dante has to face his past in order to save his future. He has an enemy that is out to destroy him and all that he holds dear. This is a stimulating romance that is riveting and stunning. So much emotion and I got wrapped up in this story and fell hard for it. I definitely plan on trying out McBain's other stories. Loved getting to know this family and the various facets that come together in the end!!! ...more

Her uncle aThis review was originally posted on Addicted To RomanceSummary Lady Charlene Blanchard, is a poor orphan from a respectable family. Her uncle abandoned her and she and her aunt are left to their own devices. Her aunt is a actress, but the funds just aren't quite enough. So Charlene has to resort to picking pockets---which she is quite good at especially with her disguise in breeches. But one day, she picks the wrong pocket and has a run in with American Jack Whitridge. Who is the twin brother of the man that is courtin her, the Duke of Baynton. Jack, left home when he was just a lad because he couldn't live under his fathers roof and just be the "spare". He wanted more out of his life, so he leaves his home and family letting them assume he was dead, and lived some adventure before finding a home in America. Jack made a good solid life for himself, but is tasked to do something for both of his countries. His orders are: Go to England and find a truce before war erupts. Jack arrives home, and has to deal with the fall out from his father, most especially his twin, Duke of Baynton. He realizes that the woman Baynton trusts him with, is the woman he is slowly falling in love with. He doesn't want to ruin the slow bond he and his brother have slowly begun rebuilding again, but he doesn't know if he can give up the woman he loves... Plot And Story Line I will be honest, I was pretty excited to pick this one up and was able to find it through my library on audio *clapping hands* ...yes!!! I have really loved what Maxwell has done with this series so far. It deals with a "love triangle" trope of sorts. Not a true love triangle, as most believe them to be. Its more you know which characters are going to end up together. I felt so bad for the Duke though....he is my favorite character out of the brothers---I just love him and he always tends to get the short end of the stick when it comes to woman and his brothers win. This story starts out with the Duke of Baynton, having a ball for all the eligible ladies. He wants to marry and find a woman to love just like his brother Ben has found. He is not like most men he knows...he is responsible, loyal and true. I truly loved him and all his outrageousness he portrays in this story. But then we see a new character, a character we thought was dead...his long lost twin brother Jack. Now Jack left England, and is happy with his new life. Although I did feel it was unfair for him to let his family believe he was dead all of these years. Now comes the heroine----who is so lively and fun and I loved her so much. She has spunk and she does what she needs to. But she is in a tough spot. And she needs a special "knight" to save her from the dragon--a den of thieves who want to blackmail her for many years to keep her secret of being a pickpocket. Even though she respects Baynton he is not the man her heart truly desires. Jack makes her feel alive and free. I adored seeing these two together, and at first they have some great chemistry and friendship that slowly builds into something more. The romance is subtle, and not super obvious until the end here. Which I liked quite a bit, because we see that they build a solid foundation before their relationship turns into something more. I think what I adored most was seeing the development of their relationship which seemed so different than anything I have read in HR before. We also get some teasers for Baynton's book and boy I can't wait...That one is going to be a blast to read. Narration Our narrator for this story is Mary Jane Wells...and boy she is so fantastic. I just love her voice and does the british accent so well. Her voice reminds me of a character in the movie "Christmas Carol" with Patrick Stewart and I just love how she opens this story up to the reader and draws you into this world of balls, thievery, excitement and some fun bantering. She did the level of emotion so well that I think the author was trying to convey and I got so caught up in this story I didn't want to put my headphones aside. The Cover So gorgeous!! My favorite cover of the series. I just love her dress, the elegance and classy feel to it, with the blue and white colors. Overall View The Fairest Of Them All is a sensational romance that sweeps you off your feet in desire...adventure...and teaching the importance of fighting to stand by the one you love!!! BRILLIANT!! Welcome to the Book Tour for The Madness of Lord Westfall by Mia Marlowe. This is a talented writer and she always delivers a unique style of romance. I love the way she writes, its different from any other historical writer. She has a fresh and rich voice that is evident through the pages. So excited for this new series full of adventure, intrigue and depth of emotion.
In this story, we have Viscount Westfall who hears the thoughts of others. He was sent by his uncle into a mad house and his time there still haunts Pierce. But then he was rescued by a friend and leader of the order of the M.U.S.E. His mentor is training him to handle his gift and to block if he needs to. Then at a ball, he meets Lady Nora Claremont, a carefree courtesan he feels sparks with. Pierce and Nora share passion with each other, but Nora is mixed up with business that could lead to her being a traitor. Only Pierce will be able to find a way to protect the woman he loves and exposing the real traitor.
This was quite interesting to read, and unfortunately I didn’t enjoy it as much as I would have liked. I was super tired while reading this one, so I believe that was the biggest reason or I might have had a much more fun time with this book. The plot was just fascinating, and even though I was a bit confused about the order of the M.U.S.E. and what is exactly was for a while. I do believe I want to read the first book and hopefully it will help make more sense before I read the next book.
What I really liked about this book was seeing the mix of psychic and historical elements come into play. This isn’t your average regency romance. Mia Marlowe has created such a unique series that has a feel to it that is set apart from anything else she has ever written. What we have is a order of the M.U.S.E., agents that all have psychic abilities and aid in the crown. We see some fun characters and I was really intrigued by a few that were closely tied to this couple. It was interesting seeing the plot development, and there was such depth to this story. I really wasn’t expecting so much from this book. This book had spicy passion, delicious adventure, intrigue and load of secrets to be unraveled. Mysterious and engaging, this story is packed with enough to satisfy and add some tasty delights to your appetite. I can’t wait to read more from this series.

When she loses her shop over the scandal, she is offered a job to be a lady's companion and she is having to work with constantly. the love story between these two is sweet and heartwarming, but I had a problem really connecting with the love story. Summary Heath Hextall considers being an Earl a pain and a bother and he would much prefer working on his business than dealing with members of the Ton. All he needs now is an amiable wife to take care of his domestic matters so that he can focus on his shipyard and his business affairs. Even though he is attempting to court a lovely and biddable but intelligent woman, except there is one problem: he can't stop thinking about one woman, Lady Josephine Somerhall. But Joss is not just any woman, she was a girl who played with him and her brother when they were kids and then she vanished one day, known to be a traveler and studying abroad. Now she has returned and has not changed one bit. Still wild and sassy smart, and keeping him on his toes. But suddenly Joss and Heath and brought into a mystery and a danger, when Heath's friend is killed with secret papers, enemies that are looking for what they know, secrets of the Templar and soon Joss and Heath will be in danger of their lives if they don't get down to the secret, that could lead to Bonaparte returning to France and taking over once again... The Hero Heath Hextall made a name for himself, he built up a ship yard business, loves his travels especially going back and forth between American and England. But when he became an Earl, his life changed, and he is struggling to maintain a balance of his responsibilities. Heath's household is falling apart, and he has decided what he needs is a wife to take care of the matters between butlers and maids so he doesn't have to. Heath is content with marrying a nice and lovely wife, one that he can be content with and won't drive him crazy like Lady Josephine. But Joss is the one woman he is constantly thinking about and can't stop thinking about. Heath was a great hero, at first he is a bit arrogant and conceited, but honorable and hard working. He isn't ashamed of what he has become or what he has built for himself, even though members of his class are very disapproving of it. He is protective of Joss which I loved, and I adored how he handles her at times. The Heroine Lady Josephine Somerhall has always cared for Heath ever since they were kids. She chased Heath and her brother around, always wanting to prove herself to this boy that won her heart, even if he didn't know the different between a frog and a toad. Then a situation developed with her father, and for her own safety and well being she was sent away from the home she loved and the boy she couldn't get enough of.
"Then what the hell were you doing in my bed?"
He closed the distance between them in three steps. He reached down and tipped her chin up, forcing her eyes back to his. The dark desire he saw reflected in her gaze nearly undid him right there.
He dropped to a knee in front of her, his eyes level with her own. "What? You wanted what, Joss?"
"I wanted to feel what it would be like. To belong to you."
She has traveled many parts of the world and has become a highly educated woman with a spirited nature that has developed over the years. Now she works with her mother to help those unfortunate women who need aid from abusive situations. Josephine isn't your average heroine and I had quite a fun time with her character. She is passionate, fierce in her desires to help others, creative and cunning, loved the way her mind worked. I love how crafty she is and the way she handles any situation no matter how dangerous. Plot and Story Line You're The Earl I Want is a story that I immediately liked. Kelly Bowen has a talented way of creative beautiful stories that make this era come alive for me that not many authors can do for me. Every book I have read from this series just makes me yearn for more from this author. I love how each story has a unique situation with a level of intrigue and danger to it that mixes so well with the love story that she evenly balances out. In You're The Earl I Want we see a childhood sweethearts trope come alive. Both Heath and Joss have cared for each other. Joss knows exactly who she wants and its always been Heath. Heath, however, has always liked her, but he doesn't fully realize it until Joss comes back into his life.
I've been spending too much time looking for other things I thought I wanted. Things I thought were the right things and would make me happy. But they didn't. They never could. I want you, Josephine Somerhall. On whatever terms you wish. It's only ever been you.
Even though Joss has never really desired marriage, there is one person she wants more than anything...Heath. This was a unique set up because at the beginning we see how against marriage Joss is because Heath doesn't really see her as a potential wife and she KNOWS it. She isn't exactly biddable or passive. Quite the exact opposite. Joss is spirited and lively and brings passion to Heath. These two are brought into a world of mystery and danger. They need each other and start to work with each other to discover what is really going on and get to the bottom of this mystery that ended up with the death of one of Heath's friends. There were so many aspects of this book that I fell in love with but one of my favorites was seeing Heath and Joss reconnect with each other and discover a passion they have for each other. And honestly I love espionage in a romance, and Bowen's handles this aspect beautifully. It is a focus of the story, but it balances evenly with the love story that develops between Heath and Joss. We also see a small side plot of Heath's right-hand man. We also see how desperate certain supporters of Bonaparte were to bring him back to power after he was exiled. Interesting plot twist and loved the historical relevance come into play into this story. This was a story that is a must for historical lover, sweet and exciting.
I want you all the time, Josephine Somehall," he growled. "I want you from the second I wake up until the moment I work myself into a exhausted stupor that allows me to find sleep. I want you like this, naked and hot and sweaty, every time you're near me. every time you touch me. Every time you look at me. If I didn't have you, I would have lost my mind.
The Cover Such a lovely cover here. I love her peach dress with the yellow ribbon and holding a rose. Her expression is so mischievous and playful, and full of secrets. And I like the contrasts of the blue and green staircase in the background. This is definitely my favorite cover so far in this series.
You're The Earl I Want is a story that is a delightful romp with a dose of danger, hint of sensuality, a smidgen of mystery and quite a lot of rediscovering a love that has always existed between these two!! A STORY TO CRAVE!

ItThis review was originally posted on Addicted To RomanceSummary Elin Morris has been betrothed to the Duke, Gavin Benton since she was born. It is expected of her to marry Benton. But there is one reservation she has....she fell in love with his younger brother Ben many years previous. But after sharing a passion filled night, he left the next day with no word and she felt betrayed. But she doesn't feel its right to marry Gavin without letting him know the truth. But on the night of the betrothal announcement, Ben arrives when his brother takes his military career away from him to get him home from the war. Ben is outraged when he is forced back to England, which is the last place he wants to be just to be around as the "spare". But then he is confronted with his painful past and the woman who has always been a part of him. When Elin's life is in danger, Ben is the one that saves her life and protects her while they live in the woods on the run, trying to stay ahead from mercenaries who want her dead. Ben and Elin reconnect with each other and confront the past...but there is one issue they still need to face, how to tell the Duke that Elin will need to jilt him so she can marry the man she loves. Plot and Story Line Marrying The Duke is the first full novel of the latest series by Cathy Maxwell. I have been a fan of this author for many years. But I will admit I was nervous about this one, but when I obtained a audio copy through my library, I was thrilled!!But it was so worth it, and even though Maxwell's previous series wasn't a favorite...I truly loved what she did with this story. This is a second chance romance and one of my all time favorite tropes to see happen. I really loved these two together, and once they become honest with each other and misunderstandings about the past---the story really picks up. The romance that develops between these two is quite emotional and a bit of a tear jerker in moments. When they were younger, they fell in love. But other parties stepped in to separate them so the "betrothal" could go forward. This part of the book, is what is truly heartbreaking. Its also a bit frustrating with Elin's parents. Now their love story is the novella that started off this series. They defied convention and scandal to be together. So I just had a hard time with understanding why they were "okay" with their daughter not marrying for love just so she could marry the Duke. It felt quite a bit selfish on their part. But it does get resolved in the end I loved the brothers....now at first they are at ODDS!! Literally, most of their lives they have fought and battled with each other and never agreeing with anything. But as the story winds down, we see them come to a truce and I truly loved seeing them work together in the end and build a strong relationship. I can't wait for book two!! The Narration Mary Jane Wells did a fantastic job with the narration here!! I was so impressed, so authentically real in the british accents and I loved the way she implemented the story. I just wanted to hear more of her. She is definitely a new favorite now. The Cover What a beautiful cover!! I just love her dress here and the tone of colors that are used!! So classy and pretty. Overall View The Match Of The Century is a perfect start....a romance that delves into deep emotion, reconnecting two lovers and finding a happy ever after against odds that are stacked against them!! Summary Dorian Blackwell, is a villain, and rose up from the alleyways of the worst slums iThis review was originally posted on Addicted To Romance
Summary Dorian Blackwell, is a villain, and rose up from the alleyways of the worst slums in London, to become the powerful man he is today. He does what needs to be done to survive and the horrors of his past made him into what he is today. Farah Leigh Mackenzie, hasn't had an easy time in her life. When she was young, she got married and for a short while they were happy. Until he was taken away from her, and now she is a widow and for years she hasn't even thought about another man, until she meets the dark and dangerous Dorian. Then Dorian kidnaps her and takes her up to Scotland, because her life is in grave danger and only by marrying Dorian will Farah be protected. Soon Dorian and Farah's lives are intertwined and they discover a hidden passion and an abiding love that will surprise them both. Will the terrors of their pasts haunt their futures, or will embracing their new founded love be the healing balm they need? The Hero Dorian Blackwell, had a rough childhood and even a tougher adulthood. He spent most of his youth in prison, and befriended a few other that have his back. The only people in the world that he has ever trusted. Dorian is deadly and dangerous and no one dares cross him. Dorian has learned how to survive in the worst of places in London, and worked his way up the ladder to be the most feared and powerful man in England. He has power and wealth and no one can touch him. He has no weakness, until he comes across miss Farah Leigh and he is lost in what she offers him.
“My sweet Fairy.” He exhaled on a painful breath. “You can’t imagine darkness. You are the only light I’ve ever known.”
Dorian is one sexy alpha male you could never get enough of. He is the type of character you crave to read in historical romance. I just wanted more and more of him as the story progressed. I love his dangerous allure, his sensuality and all that emotional tortured feel his character gives off. Potent to the core!! The Heroine Farah Leigh has been hidden away most of her life. She lost her closest friend and her husband, a man she committed herself to when she was just too young but much in love. Farah is strong and sweet and kind. She works for Scotland Yard as a secretary, and loves her work. She lives to uphold the law and she still yearns for what she once had a lost years previous. Farah isn't weak or naive, and she takes Dorian in full stride. I love that she stands up to him when no one else does; even though she fears him she doesn't back down when she truly believes in what is right. I love how her character develops and the way she treats Dorian. She handles him in just the right way, stands up to him but she also compromises with him so they both stand on even ground. She is solid both emotionally and physically. Even though she has suffered a low blow in life, she doesn't let that weaken her...it makes her even stronger. Plot and Story Line The Highwayman is one of the best romances I have read this year!! My goodness, I have found a new love in this author and she writes historical romance the way it should be written. Full of depth, complexities and true romance at its core. I just couldn't get enough of this author. I just want more and more, thankfully, the second book will be coming out in a few months in Feb (CHEERS!!).
So what made this story so fantastic??? Well I will tell ya all. Everything about it made it simply wonderful. First off I want to set up the story a little. It starts off with Farah and Dugan as children. They are thick as thieves, both understand each other in different ways, then slowly as they get older, they decide to handfast to each other.
“Of course I’ll love you, Dougan Mackenzie,” she said easily. “Who else is going to?” “Nobody,” he said earnestly. “Will you try to love me, too?” she asked in a small voice. He considered it. “I’ll try, Fairy, but I havena done it before.”
But when Farah is about to get molested, Dugan protects her and ends up killing the man responsible. He goes to prison, and Farah leaves him food and letters but then he is killed. This really sets up the story on an emotional angle in a vivid way that reaches out to the reader. Then it skips ahead to when Farah is full grown, in her late twenties (we are the same age yay---so I felt it easy to relate with her) and when she gets kidnapped, she meets Dugan's closest friends. What are the odds right? Well in this book there are no such things as coincidences. We see her strike friendship with Dorian's friends, who treat her like a sister. It was quite amusing that if Dorian went overboard---he was in the dog house with his buddies because they look at Farah as family.
Then we see the romance blossom between Dorian and Farrah in quite a poignant and powerful way. Dorian is bitter and cynical, and Farrah is sweet and good natured. Patient with him, and I love how she handles him in such a positive way. Firm but kind. It takes a turn when the truth comes out, and a secret is revealed. Now this secret is slowly built up through the story, so it didn't come to a complete surprise because the author leads up to it, but the author slowly teases us until the truth is really revealed. I really couldn't get enough of these two, seeing them form a strong bond to each other, meanwhile dealing with the danger to Farrah, and the friendships that she forms with Dorian's friends. I am over the moon with this one, and its the type of story I could see myself re-reading in a couple of years. This is a story that touched me in every way. The emotion and the feelings that are poured into it are all consuming. So if you love a sexy romance full of passion, danger and mystery....pick this one up right NOW!!
“I make ye my heart At the rising of the moon. To love and honor, Through all our lives. May we be reborn, May our souls meet and know. And love again. And remember.”
The Cover Is there a better cover?? I mean really. One I love yellow on covers, especially this golden warm yellow. I love the sexy pose, almost kiss, her beautiful gown, and man his hair. I just want to run my fingers through it. Overall View The Highwayman is a stimulating ride that takes you all over the British Aisles. Its a story to cry over, to laugh in those silly moments, and to flip those pages as fast as you can read them.A sweeping romance that will take your breath away. A WILD SEXY ROMP!!

Summary Lady Emily Tremaine has been sheltered most of her life, but she craves adventure and new experiences and to get away from the dull life of London. Emily along with her parents and Lady Julia, one of her closest friends. They journey up to Constantinople, and Emily and Julia meet two gentlemen a David Oliphant and Lucien Chamberton. But both Lucien and Emily will have to face what they feel for each other because Lucien's past is one he will have to face and stop running away from. Soon Lucien will have to face his past and Emily will have to learn to trust in her new feelings and the future that lays ahead of her.
Plot and Story Line
Lady Emily Exotic Journey is a story that is so unlike any regency type romance. It is rare to read a story like this and it was quite refreshing reading something different and unique. This is the second book in the series, What I loved most about this book was seeing how it unraveled. There were some moments that the story seemed to drag a bit, but once I got about halfway it really picked up. This is a story that has two plots (kinda). We have the main story line between Lucien and Emily. There is a second one...the story between David and Julia. David and Julia are very alike. Both have backgrounds that are similar to each other, but they both have plans for a future that go hand in hand. Lucien and Emily's personalities are a great match as well, but they are starkly different from David and Julia. Both Lucien and Emily crave adventure and travel. What is most interesting is that as the story unravels we see how Lucien and Emily change, as Lucien faces the problems of his past.
He saw the truth. They were not copains. She was his woman. He did not want her as a friendly companion. He wanted her in his arms, in his bed, clothed in that dark honey hair and nothing else. He wanted her, desperately, hungrily, and he had to have her.
This is where Emily and Lucien really come together and rely on the bond they have to embrace what is meant to be. What was most fascinating was seeing how both of these couples come together, and it takes a dangerous plot that makes these four individuals realize how fragile life is and to embrace every moment. What is most fun about this author is the detail she places in her stories. So far its only two books, and even though the story seemed a bit slow at places, I loved how see makes the story and places come alive for the reader. Not too many authors have the ability to create such detail especially when it comes to historical romance. Overall I found that this is a story of adventure, passion, intrigue and an endearing love story.
I adore this cover, and it totally matches the story so well. I love her dress, and the pose here, with the background of the river.
Lady Emily's Exotic Journey is a fun tale of desire, adventure, enticing characters. A sexy and wildly entertaining romance.
