The chemistry between them was un-breakable. Although, they captured my heart from the beginning...Courtney is the one who had be falling out of my chair with her teenage tactics and what Maggie put her through. I loved the plot of the story and that is what had me hooked. You got to hear from both Declan's point of view and Maggie's. Declan would let you into his Demon World and what he was dealing with and Maggie would bring you into the world of Paranormal Law Enforcement. My favorite parts in the book that had me laughing was when Maggie had to make Courtney not give away the paranormal world. She put a spell on her that made her, not say any magic or paranormal words...instead Courtney would sound silly. It made Courtney really upset and had me laughing into tears. Poor girl. I also adored Elegance, aka Elle...Maggies personal Spider who attaches to her literally. She's a diamond-encrusted spider tattooed on her. Who wouldn't want that? I know I wouldn't mind Elle being tattooed on me. She does her own damage to bad guys...or just guys period. She brings humor also to the story. This was my first book I read by Linda Wisdom and it won't be my last. I adore this series so far and I look forward to the next book and reading her other books when I get the chance. I definitely recommend this book to anyone who likes paranormal humor ROMANCE. Don't expect too many erotic sex scenes in this book. It's more of a Humorous, action packed Paranormal Romance...It does get steamy a bit with Declan and Maggie...but not like other authors that I've read. It was great to read something different though. I always love a good laugh. I also love kick-ass heroines, sexy heroes....and even pain in the ass teenagers...(reminds me of myself a bit...LOL). This book definitely deserves 5 stars...or maybe 10. =) ...more

I didn't evenDid you ever buy a book because the cover captured your attention? Well...this book definitely captured mine when I saw it in Netgalley. I didn't even bother to read the description to find out what the book was about before I requested it. I usually don't ever do that, but for some reason I did with this one. The cover just drew me in. I have a weakness of beautiful book covers. Oh...I have a obsession with the color blue...which didn't help either. I tend to describe the book in my words in the beginning, but found that is a waste of time sometimes...so instead I'm going to type up what I loved and disliked about the book. Once I started reading "The Demon Lover", I a hard time reading it at first. The first few chapters just wasn't capturing my attention like all other books I've read and you would think it would with how Juliet Dark threw in a love scene in the very beginning. I very sexy, seductive Man who creeps into my dreams...why wouldn't I love this book? I had to put this book down several times and come back to read it. I thought if I put it down...the book would miraculously capture my heart like other books have...Unfortunately, the book didn't capture my attention until the very end. I was determined to finish this book though. I hate starting a book and not being able to finish it. It's a big pet peeve of mine. The Author tended to describe certain things in detail for too long...and I lost interest. Once she started writing about dilemmas for the character Callie...then the book caught my interest again. Although, it was back and worth getting my attention which I hate. Ugh! I adored Callie in the book. Her intelligence and her determination, made me realize her character reminded me of myself. Although, there were points in the story where I could've slapped Callie silly. Wake up, girl...something is seriously wrong with Fairwick and what is happening to you. I can't stand a book that is predictable...which "The Demon Lover" was to me. It may not be for other readers, but for some reason I was able to pick out what was happening and not get the "Awe" feeling. I knew what was going on with Callie. Callie's dreams in the beginning is what spiked my love for the book. Once I found out who and what was going into her dreams, I felt I had to read the book even more and not put it down anymore. I love reading books about Incubus's. Callie's love life really was rough at first since she lived far away from her boyfriend, Paul...maybe the Incubus was doing her a favor. I think my favorite character would have to be the Incubus in the story. He was the main plot to the book...but Juliet did throw in other stuff, that maybe shouldn't of been added. I always love trying out new authors who I have never read from. Juliet Dark created a very Gothic supernatural world. I did feel like I was actually in the book sometimes with the dark, supernatural way she wrote. Her writing style is definitely different to what I'm used to, but it's not a horrible thing. I look forward to reading the next book in the series. I just hope the next book I won't have to put down. Maybe I should shut myself away from the world when I read the next book...unfortunately that won't happen when I'm a mother of two girls who hate seeing me with a book in front of my face. They want to know what I'm reading, but unfortunately their not even close to the age, where they need to read the books I read. =) I recommend this book for anyone who loves Gothic style Romance. You'll find yourself in a world where your not used to...if you think this book is any style compared to Gena Showalter, Kresley Cole, etc. Juliet Dark, has her own writing style. =) ...more
Ladies and Gents...I've finally finished "The Darkest Seduction" and I can officially say this by far is my FAVReview also posted on Book Lovin' Mamas
Ladies and Gents...I've finally finished "The Darkest Seduction" and I can officially say this by far is my FAVE book in the series now. Eeek!! This book had so much in it...that I kept notes in my journal that way I can remember when the next LOTU comes out. Yes...I have a horrible memory sometimes. It comes with getting older. Here's what happens in The Darkest Seduction. I promise now, I will not spoil this book for anyone. Just want to give a little run down on what is expected in the 9th book to the Lord of the Underworld Series. Paris is still searching for Sienna. Sienna is still with Cronus (The Titan God). She's trapped in a castle in the Realm of Blood and Shadows. Cronus wants her to do something for him on the Earth plane. If your not new to the series, you know that Sienna is possessed with the demon Wrath who used to be inside Aeron. Wrath is not a demon to mess with. He keeps trying to take control over Sienna, but she keeps fighting him. She's not used to having a demon in her and she's definitely not used to having wings. Here's the catch about Sienna though no one else can see her except for some people, for example, Paris. Sienna was killed a few books back. Paris is determined to find Sienna and he ends up doing things, he's ashamed of to get to where Sienna is. He ends up asking Viola to help him who is possessed with the Demon, Narcissism. Who by the way, is very friggin' annoying. It's to be expected though since her Demon makes her only talk about herself and devote on herself. When Paris does find Sienna, he has William and Zacharel's help to get to her...well kind of their help. Zacharel has a mission of his own. (He's a Angel who was sent by Lysander to protect Sienna and sometimes Paris). William, I found out from the previous book, "The Darkest Surrender", has a HUGE secret. Oh boy...he ends up having a MAJOR secret in this book too. Damn him!!! He's making me love him even more. Sienna has always thought that Paris hates her for what she did to him. Of course, Paris tries everything to push her away once he finds her and saves her....unfortunately...of course who could resist Paris though. Then there's Kane who is still trapped in Hell. He's getting his ass handed to him. There's also Zacharel and his mission (loved being in his head...even if it's for a little while). Got a taste of Cronus and what he's up to. (Hate him by the way) Then there's the evil, Galen (who I ended up liking in this book). Although, he did something that made me mad, but he made up for it in the end. There's lots going in this book, that I can't say because I'll give away the best parts of the book. Let's just say, Gena knows how to keep me turning the page. Gosh darn her...because I sleep depraved myself reading this book. I loved it that much. It definitely had twists and turns I wasn't expecting. I fell in love with more characters. Oh...and Sienna is ONE KICK ASS Female Character who I ADORE more than Anya now. Pay attention to her. You will be surprised on what happens to her. It's just GREAT...or should I say POWERFUL. My thoughts...I friggin' LOVED this book. It's a page turner from beginning to end. Seriously, how does Gena come up with this stuff. There was not a single flaw in this story. Well..except for what Galen did, but I'll leave that alone because he made up for it. Oh...Maddox and Ashlyn play a very important role in this book. If you've read their book, you know what I'm talking about. =) It's about time, that's all I can say. I'm so glad that Paris finally got his book. I think all of us readers, were waiting patiently for his. I know I was waiting patiently. (Patiently meaning...biting my nails and pulling my hair). Now I can wait patiently again for the next LOTU book. Well...at least try to wait patiently. At least Gena has other books coming out to keep me occupied. =) ...more

I'm a huge fan of Gena Showalter and her amazing books. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to read "The Darkest Surrender" until now. I've had the book taunting me for awhile now. It glared at me from my bookshelf in my bedroom...whispering me to read it already. When I bought it back last September, I was 8 months pregnant with my youngest so sometimes things slipped my mind due to being uncomfortable and having a baby kick my ribs every 5 minutes. Definitely, do not miss being pregnant. Now...I'm glad I spent this past weekend, sleep depriving myself to read "The Darkest Surrender". My youngest even let me read it without trying to eat my book which she seems is fun to do lately. Gena never disappoints at all when it comes to the Lords of the Underworld. I love ALL of these sexy Demons. "The Darkest Surrender" is the 8th installment to the LOTU and it's about Strider (Demon of Defeat) and Kaia (Harpy). Strider is one demon I wanted to find out who he hooked up with and I kind of knew who he would end up with...but of course Gena could've changed it. I know how Authors like to throw their readers off sometimes, but thank goodness she didn't with Strider because Kaia is perfect for him. Kaia is one strong-willed, determined, kick ass, scary, pain-in-the-ass, doesn't like to listen, stealing Harpy who I adore. Strider is one stubborn-headed, also pain-in-the-ass, protective, sarcastic, sexy demon who I friggin' LOVE!!!!! (Can I have him?) Kaia has had a hard life though. She did something when she was younger that makes all the other Harpies hate her. She caused something to happen which slaughtered a whole bunch of harpies. Once her mother of course finds out she is disappointed in her and gives her the name Kaia the Disappointment. Kaia ever since has never been invited to the Harpy Games until now. Now her sisters and herself are having to attend...but not underneath their mother's name. They're force to pick another name. Kaia wants to prove to herself and everyone that she can win. Strider is to be Kaia's consort to the harpy games once he finds out about her going. He has mixed feelings over Kaia. He doesn't really want to get close to her because he's not looking for something at the moment. He just got over Haidee from the previous book. Well...Kaia makes it difficult for him when he is her consort. I won't go any further because this book has so much to it, I'll probably end up giving away too much. My thoughts on "The Darkest Surrender" is I really enjoyed finally reading Strider's story. He can be a jerk at times, but in this book there was a different side to him. Can I just say, I'm jealous of Kaia...really she gets him ALL to herself. Here's something I enjoyed the most in this book is how Strider took care of Kaia every time he was hurt. He was very protective of her even though he tried to push her away. I even enjoyed the steamy scenes between Kaia and Strider. She's one lucky gal! I hated Juliette in the story. GRRR!! You evil wench! You'll have to read the book to find out who she is. Let's just say I would've ripped her wings off if I could for Kaia. I loved the side stories in "The Darkest Surrender". I got a taste of Kane, Paris, and William. Oh boy...there was a serious secret that came out about William. HOLY MOLY! Actually, William had several secrets come out in this book and now I understand why he is the way he is. I think I love him even more now. No..I know I LOVE him even more! Like I stated before, Gena never disappoints. I love what she does with her books. She leaves you guessing in the book while your reading and of course the endings usually leave you hanging for more. I found myself drooling while reading, having the shocked look to my face, and punching my book so I could get the bad guys for the Lords of the Underworld. Her books are seriously addicting and I'll find myself re-reading these books whenever I find myself in a reading slump because only the Lords of the Underworld can help me out of that slump. *sigh...sexy ass demons* I recommend this to paranormal romance readers, demon lovers, and LOTU fanatics out there. If you haven't read this series, you need to start. Add it to your wish list, your TBR on goodreads, or go ahead and buy it. The first book is "The Darkest Night" or you can start with the prequel, "The Darkest Fire". ...more
Where do I start with this new series that Gena Showalter has created? First off, we'reARC Provided by Author Review also posted on Book Lovin' Mamas
Where do I start with this new series that Gena Showalter has created? First off, we're inside of Zacharel's head in "Wicked Nights". If you're a huge fan of Gena Showalter's and have read her Lords of the Underworld Series, you know who Zacharel already is. In the Wicked Nights, we find out Zacharel has been tasked to run the most powerful angel army in the heavens. Of course there's a catch though...the angels he leads are on dangerous ground...they're a danger to themselves and everyone around them. If Zacharel doesn't straighten them out, he may end up losing his wings. He has to prove to his deity that he can be a leader and help train these ruthless Angels. If he doesn't...he's punished for what he does, but also what they do wrong. We're introduced to Annabelle Miller, a human who was accused of a killing her parents at the age of 18, which she didn't do. Now she's forced to live in the walls of Moffat County Institution where she is being treated. The doctor who is supposed to be treating her, instead is abusing her mentally and physically. She also can see things that normal humans can't see. She has demons tracking her wherever she goes and now they are upon Moffat County Insitution. Zacharel and his band of Angels are sent to the Moffat County Institution to find out why the demons are attracted to the place and kill them, as long as they aren't humans who are demon-possessed (which they can not kill). Zacharel comes upon Annabelle and for the moment he meets her, he knows he's in trouble. Zacharel is not meant to save Annabelle...but of course everything in his world is about to change because of Annabelle and her past. It's up to Zacharel to find out why Demons are tracking Annabelle...and also find out what happened to Annabelle and why she can see the demons...etc. I won't go any further...because this book has so much going on, I don't want to spoil anything. My thoughts on "Wicked Nights" of course is that it's a great start to a new series. In fact it's a great start to a spin-off series of Lords of the Underworld. =) I was so excited to find out that Gena was doing a spin off...especially when it includes Angels. (I'm a sucker for a sexy male Angel) I fell in love with the stubborn, tough, sexy Zacharel in the LOTU Series. To be able to find out what makes Zacharel tick...I was definitely onboard to read his book. Now, after reading it, I'm looking forward to the next books. It definitely keeps me sane waiting for the next LOTU book and you'll see why when you read "Wicked Nights". Oh yes...Gena throws in surprises. I was so giddy reading this book, my hubby was about to send me to the doctor to get checked out. I fell in love Annabelle because she's a strong-willed female character who can take care of herself. I don't know how many times she stood up to Zacharel. (because I lost count) I loved the storyline that Gena Showalter created in "Wicked Nights". She of course threw in extra stuff to prepare you for the next book or books. You'll get to read about the other Angels too in "Wicked Nights". I don't know if Koldo or Thane is my fave yet, after Zacharel. I'll have to wait and read their books. I'm going to admit again, how addicted I am to Gena's writing style. She's one of my FAVE Authors and with this spin-off series...she didn't disappoint at all. I will find myself re-reading this book because I still can't believe what happened and who ended up being the bad guy in this book. Plus...other reasons I will not discuss on why I want to re-read it. If you haven't read any of Gena Showalter's books, what are you waiting for? If your thinking about reading this book, but haven't read the LOTU Series, I recommend you read that series first. You will thank me later. =) I recommend this book to ALL Paranormal Romance Readers out there, and of course die hard Gena Showalter Fans. If you've read Kresley Cole's IAD Series, you'll love the LOTU and "Wicked Nights" by Gena Showalter. Now what are you waiting for buy yourself a copy of "Wicked Nights" and get to reading... This Book Lovin' Mama is counting down to Gena Showalter's next book...patiently.........(trying to at least) =)...more

I absolutely love "The ComReview also posted on Book Lovin Mamas I have been waiting forever for this book. Well...not forever, but it felt like that. I absolutely love "The Company of Angels" books by Stephanie Chong. I fell in love with the characters in the first book in "Where Demons Fear to Tread" last year. I just knew I would love this one too. I remember, the female character, Luciana in the first book and I was excited to read more about her in this book. (I really did not like her in the first book...but she grew on me in this book) Luciana has fled to Venice, Italy to do her duty of giving the devil his yearly duty. Once in Venice, she tracks down her sacrifice, but ends up running into one of the Company of Angels. She ends up not making the sacrifice in time thanks to the Angel. In the mean time, she has to find away to make it up to her big boss...but the Angel of course is not making it easy for her. She even has her past lover...threatening her...so it is not going to be easy for Luciana to make her boss happy again. Brandon, the angel that interferes with Luciana's plan is trying to capture Luciana for the Company of Angels. She is his assignment...but of course, he finds Luciana to be misunderstood. He feels she could change and he is finding her very irresistible. Of course...in "The Demoness of Waking Dreams", other characters are brought back from the first book...that I really was excited to read about. Corbin (who was such a jerk in the first book), Julian (who I have a HUGE crush on..yes I know he is fictional...but he stole my heart), and several others that I do not what to name. I'll give away too much. New characters are introduced as well...who I hope come back in the third book. My thoughts on The Demoness of Waking Dreams...I loved every minute of it and had a hard time putting down my Kindle. I would read while doing other things. (laundry, etc.) I'm a multi-tasker...I can read as well as take care of things around me. At least I tried to. =) I loved the storyline for Luciana and Brandon. Luciana has her own story and so does Brandon. Both of their stories broke my heart. I could not believe what actually happened to Brandon at the end. I would be upset as well. Oh let me not forget that Julian ends up in the story...and of course I find out more about him and what happened between him and Luciana. =) Luciana and Brandon were perfect for each other. Luciana helped Brandon out with his problems and Brandon helped Luciana. =) I could go on and on, how much I loved this book...but of course I do not want to spoil this book for anyone. The ending, I was definitely not expecting. I'm a little interested on what is going to happen in the third book now. I recommend this book to paranormal romance readers, angel and demon addicts (like myself) and fans of Stephanie Chong. You definitely will be amazed on what happens in this book. If you read the first book, you will enjoy to read about the previous characters, like I did. =)
My dream is to do a character interview with Julian in the future. *sigh* He definitely is a FAVE of mine. Let me not to forget to mention that Stephanie Chong has a fan for life. Countdown to Book 3 is now on. =)...more
"Tempted" is the second book in the Angels Among Us Trilogy and it definitely was another tear jerker. This is tReview also posted on Book Lovin' Mamas
"Tempted" is the second book in the Angels Among Us Trilogy and it definitely was another tear jerker. This is the story of Sarah who is a messenger angel who knows the rights and wrongs of what a angel is supposed to do...and one of those wrongs is getting involved with a human. An angel could lose her wings over it and become one of the Fallen Angels. It was just recently Sarah witnessed another angel become a Fallen since she had to make sure it happened. Sarah is about to break her main rule though all because of a former soldier who has been dealing with his own insecurities and past issues from what happened during the time he was in the Army. Jackson Bennett is alone due to almost causing harm to his family. He suffers with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder after witnessing some of his fellow soldiers dying. He blames it on himself and he is still having a hard time getting over it. He is forced now to be by himself and spy on his son go to school in the morning when his wife drops him off. Sarah is assigned to Jackson due to Jackson being special and coming into powers. God, himself, wants Sarah to help Jackson come over to the good side. She cannot force him though, he has to have his own free will to come over. Jackson is going to learn the true reason on what happened that fateful night that change his life when he was in the Army and also find out the truth on what he is destined to do. In the mean time though Jackson will have to fight his feelings for the beautiful woman, Sarah, who walks into his life and also believe her when she says she's not from his world and she can never be apart of his world forever.
My thoughts on "Tempted" are of course another tear jerker. I should just prepare myself ahead of time when it comes to Elise Marion and her writing style. She knows how to make a reader's emotions go haywire. I am a huge fan when it comes to angels and it seems every time I read a paranormal romance book that involves angels, the water works start falling. Elise Marion definitely made me fall in love with the characters in "Tempted" as well, just like I did in "Fallen." I had already read a little bit on Sarah since she debuted in "Fallen". She definitely was one female character who kept to her job as a Angel...although...Jackson is one male character, which I still do not know how Sarah kept from jumping on the minute she saw him. Sarah helped Jackson's character and Jackson did the same thing for Sarah. They definitely were meant to be with each other from the beginning. Jackson with his demons inside of him, needed Sarah's love and caring to help him through and Sarah needed Jackson for his toughness and stubbornness. "Tempted" actually left me wondering what will happen in the next book since there were some unanswered questions at the end, especially when the truth came about with Jackson and what he was supposed to do. Also, with what eventually happened to Sarah. "Tempted" is a book that will make you realize how tough it is for soldiers who suffer with PTSD. Elise Marion definitely did her research on it and it definitely touched my heart. You only get to see what the media puts out and not from a perspective of the soldier. Even if it is fictional in "Tempted", you have to realize that PTSD is a very serious illness that affects soldiers/sailors/marines/airmen who have gone through war. I recommend this book to paranormal romance readers, readers who love angels and demons, and readers who enjoy an emotional ride. You'll definitely feel the pain and love from both characters and you'll want to read the next book right away. ...more
This book definitely is a GREAT sequel to "Supernaturally Kissed". Everything played out so well in thisReview can be found also on Book Lovin' Mamas
This book definitely is a GREAT sequel to "Supernaturally Kissed". Everything played out so well in this book...but of course the cliffhanger was the BEST. Tess is now apart of the Memphis Police Department which can be a awful thing and a good thing to her. She gets days off more than she did at her other job...but she also has to deal with things she doesn't want to deal with, like go to a Prison and of course deal with a pain in the ass, medium, Dane. (who by the way I hated in the book...can I kick his ass, please?) Tess is thrown into a different kind of adventure for her ghost seeing abilities. First off, she has to try to solve a 10 year case, involving a suicide, that may have not been a suicide. She also has to deal with ghosts coming into her house when...ummm...she's kind of busy with Kipp. Yup...definitely feel sorry for her on that one (what a friggin' steamy scene too with Kipp). Those ghosts that come see her are scared of something that turns out to be evil. The police department brings in Dane to help Tess understand her abilities more...and he also introduces Tess to a Witch in Salem, Massachusetts who ends up helping her in so many ways. Let's just say, you will have a hard time putting down this book. You'll want to know how Tess gets through everything. I love the storyline in this book and loved the ending. I was right on my theory with Kipp too. =) (not giving away the best part...just read the book to find out). I am a little upset with Kipp in this book though. =( Darn him and his jealousy. This book is full of suspense, magic, adventure, and romance. Tess is such a strong female character, even though she is scared out of her mind on certain things...but who wouldn't be scared of dealing with a killer in a prison? I recommend this book to anyone who loves paranormal romance, loves ghosts...and loves some humor/sarcasm with their book. Can Fall hurry up and get here so I can find out what is going to happen between Tess and Kipp? =)
First off, let me just say so sorry I am to not have had this book read/reviewed before it was published. FamilReview also posted on Book Lovin' Mamas
First off, let me just say so sorry I am to not have had this book read/reviewed before it was published. Family issues took precedence and of course I was neglecting school work. (Never a good thing...I had to play catch up because of family issues) I am so glad I read "Rogue Rider" when I could and slowly because Reseph has been a FAVE character of mine since the first book. Even though the first 3 books he was Pestilence.
Jillian Cardiff is trying to get over what she went through several months ago when the demons started showing up. She was one of the survivors...at least physically...but not emotionally. She decided to live alone on a mountain with her animals. When she is out doing her chores, she comes upon a man in the snow who is naked. She know she should call someone to help her with him, but the phones are done and the snow has made it difficult to travel. When the man comes to, he does not remember his name or where he came from. He does not even know how he came to be in the snow naked. He does have thoughts in his head that tell him his name is Reseph. When demons come to Jullian's town, Reseph believes he has something to do with him, but he's not sure why. Jullian is not sure what is happening, but all she knows is the demons showed up when Reseph showed up...can she really trust him? In the meantime, Reseph's family believe's Pestilence/Reseph to be dead due to what happened in "Lethal Rider". Reaver, the Horsemen's Watcher, knows where Reseph is and what happened to him since he helped get him there.
I do not want to give away any spoilers because I will give away too much. I can say this, Larissa Ione definitely has a fan for life because she can write a book that sucks me into the pages. I actually felt Reseph's pain when his memory came back. The poor horseman. =( I know, I know...he was a baddie for such a long time, but that was Pestilence, not Reseph. Truths came out in this book and they definitely were shocking. Oh boy...was I in shock...but one of them...I kinda figured out and I was one happy reader when it finally revealed. =) Julian is now a FAVE out of all the female characters from the Lords of Deliverance that I definitely connected with. She was not a wimpy heroine...she helped Reseph and she definitely was destined to meed Reseph from the beginning. He needed someone to knock him around in the head and he met his match with her. There is one question that I need answered after this book and that is what happened to Harvester? I can tell it will be answered in Reaver's book...but I am still confused with her character. She is nice one minute and then a downright cold heart b***h the next.
LOVE, Larissa Ione's writing style. She is one of my FAVE Authors who is difficult not to stay up late at night to finish a book and I definitely enjoyed Reseph's book. (see...a trend with me yet..on the bad boys who turn good) Her Horsemen of the Apocalypse...is definitely one of my top FAVE series. You can tell from Larissa's writing, that she does a lot of research into her books. And can I just say...I'm so excited to read her next Demonica book....(how I've missed that series).
Larissa Ione...I really think you love to have your readers go through their emotions when reading your books though. I definitely will have to re-read this series again because I know I will miss the Horsemen & of course Horsewoman (sorry Limos). Reseph's story was perfect for him. The ending definitely was EPIC and here is another thing...WTH is up with the WARG that Julian got? (sorry...not telling anyone about that...will give away something important) If you love Larissa Ione and have not read this series yet...what are you waiting for? This is a MUST-READ. If you love the paranormal romance genre, love angels and demons and stories about saving the world from a apocalypse...this definitely needs to go on your to-read list on Goodreads. Did I forget to mention the steamy scenes and the action that Larissa puts into her books. She definitely levels them all out and puts them in places...that you will either have to take a cold shower or curse the bad guys out. (at least that's what I did) You will definitely miss the Lords of Deliverance once you are done reading...but thank goodness, Larissa has new books coming out in the near future to quench our thirst. She also tends to make us fall in love with future characters. =)

I had the pleasure of reading an advance copy of "A Demon and A Witch" and now I'm hooked onto this series that Eve Langlais has created. This is my first actual book written by Eve that I've read, but I actually had several of her books on my TBR on Goodreads. I'm now going to spend this summer diving into the other books from Eve Langlais so I can wait patiently for the next Welcome to Hell book. Ysabel was burned at the stake 500 years ago while her supposed lover watched her burn. Her lover's Mom accused of her of being a witch because she didn't want her with her son. When she was burning she promised to have revenge on all who accused her. How does she promise revenge...she sells her soul to Lucifer himself where she can come back and revenge her death. Those souls are to suffer for eternity in hell. She's forced to be Lucifer's assistant for 500 years though. Now her contract is almost up...but unfortunately Lucifer has some bad news. Those souls that were supposed to burn in hell for eternity have escaped which makes her contract still in effect even though her time is almost up. Here's the kicker, now she's forced to burn everyday at the same time she was burned 500 years ago due to what was in her contract. She's teamed up with a playboy half-demon (fire demon) Remy who always has something sarcastic or sexy to say, to find those souls. My thoughts on A Demon and His Witch is I loved it from beginning to end. I was laughing my butt off the whole entire time with Ysabel and Remy. Both of them had serious issues with each other. Ysabel hated Remy and Remy couldn't stop picking on her. Remy kept trying to pursue her, but Ysabel had not been with a man for 500 years since her ex-lover betrayed her. She's had NO trust in a man ever since. Would you blame her though, her supposed lover watched her burn at the stake. I love Eve's writing style. =) I was addicted to this book the minute I started reading it. I love reading a book that makes me fall out of my seat because I'm laughing so hard. I loved the steamy, tension between Remy and Ysabel. Remy is irresistible though, how could she keep denying him? I know I would have issues. I also was loving Lucifer. He acted like the father of Remy and Ysabel, so many times he had to put both of them in their places. Here he just wanted to get ready to play a golf game with his brother, but they wouldn't leave him alone over their sexual tension. Lucifer had so many tricks up his sleeves for them both. =) "A Demon and His Witch" is a great start to a new series. The next book "A Demon and His Psycho" will be out this August, which I'm already counting down too. I recommend this book for paranormal romance readers out there. If you're looking for a great paranormal romance book and a book that will make you laugh so hard...you need to buy this book or at list add to your wish list. You won't regret it....more
