Maddie has always loved Nathan since they were little kids. One day, Nathan finally notices Maddie and a relationship ensues. Personally, it almost seemed like night and day with Nathan finally noticing Maddie to the point where it almost seemed a little too unrealistic. How do you go from thinking a girl is like your sister to randomly being totally in love with her the next second? The progression should have been slower if you ask me. I loved the importance of family that Torque showed and how you would do anything for them and their safety. I honestly, liked the side characters more than Maddie and Nathan.
This was the first book that I had ever read by Gillian Archer. The main character Maddie was a little too weak and a pushover for my taste. I like my stronger females. She cried way too much and had a lot of woes me moments. I needed more steam and my interest was not always captured. Even the core motorcycle gang drama just did not do it for me.
With that being said, Torque was not the worst novel that I have read but all in all average at best. I do not like insecure girl characters. Maybe, I would have liked the book better if I had read the others but you can still read Torque as a standalone too....more

The steam and build-up of the two main characters made me smile the entire time while reading the book. One of my favorite parts of the book that made me gush big time was when the main hero of the book took care of the heroine while she was sick. It was nothing but pure cuteness. The book also had just enough sex and steam to keep me intrigued. This is a flawless forbidden romance book. I loved this book and wish it had been longer because I devoured it. ...more
Jurnee is moving to New York to start a coffee shop and starts to fall for the guy at her new office where she is pitching her coffee shop idea to. At first, Anderson is extremely cocky and seems like an entitled rich man but as the book goes on his layers start to come off and you start to fall for him alongside Jurnee herself. He may be from a rich family and filthy rich himself but he is still easy to swoon over. I only have a couple of things I can think of that I was not on board for or did not like. Other than that, Mister Manhattan was a cute, fast, and enjoyable read.
I did not like the instant attraction that Anderson had for Jurnee. It felt kind of unrealistic. The fact that Anderson never wanted to settle down with anyone for many years and then all of a sudden there was this instant love feeling towards Jurnee... I didn't buy it like I hoped to. For me, to like instant love scenarios in books it has to be written exceptionally well and this one fell kind of flat to me.
Secondly, the book dragged on at times and I was bored.. I think this was slightly due to the reason that I was hoping for a steamy read. I like reading about hot times/sex in books. Let's be honest, most girls or people turn to romance for this specific reason. I needed more steam and this book had like none. When Anderson and Jurnee finally slept together it was just glanced over and talked about. We had no description of the actual event. The build-up was there and then it died and we got no dirty details. I NEEDED SO MUCH MORE THAN "WE MADE LOVE FOR THE FIRST TIME" AS A DESCRIPTION?! These books in the cocky hero's series are supposed to be like Penelope Ward's and Vi Keeland's books and they always have hot sex and Mister Manhattan had none and I mean none. There was so much build up to the two character's doing it and we only got a sentence about it?!
Also, at first, initially, I was confused at who was who in the book because there were tons of side character's and like a lot. Once I got down who was who then I enjoyed the story much more.
The things that I did like were.....
1. A hot alpha male with a tragic love backstory and reason behind his cockiness. 2. Anderson is the owner of a pet pig. I LOVE PIGS! Any book where one of the main character's is obsessed with animals or has animals is an instant like from me. 3. All of the book and movie references. 4. I loved the side character's the best like Anderson's friends and Jurnee's friends. 5. The final HEA was adorable. 6. Jurnee has a gay best friend who is literally hilarious. He was my favorite character. I love him. 7. I loved the NYC references and it made me miss the city badly. 8. All of Jurnee's friends and family were so supportive of her and encouraged her in the whole book to move to the city and start working towards a dream.
Overall, I was entertained and that is all I can ask for from books. Mister Manhattan was still a cute romance and I am glad that I read it. I did like the author's writing style....more

However, I was bored most of the time reading Bitter Rivals. The story dragged on and was nothing but predictable. Honestly, I just didn't connect with any of the characters. It got to a point where I just didn't care what was going to happen but I still ended up finishing the book. I do think this writer has great potential though and maybe I just didn't click with this particular book. I needed more steam and banter between the two main characters. I don't even know why the author labeled this book as the two characters being enemies to lovers because there wasn't as much tension as to be expected. Enemies to lovers is my favorite romance trope and these characters just didn't do it for me. I needed more. I honestly cared less about the family feud. The feud felt like the author snapped their fingers and it was suddenly just over. There was no development. I had a hard time believing that the parents were just suddenly fine and accepting of the two characters getting together after a multiple generation feud. ...more

Don't let the size fool you of this book because it is still one hell of a story despite it being super short. I did not want the story to end. The Boss Who Stole Christmas has everything that I like in a romance an alpha male, sassy heroine, and lots of steamy moments. It was beautiful and made me smile a bunch while reading it. This is a new guilty pleasure read of mine and the first thing that I read by Jana Aston. I will for sure be checking out her other books after reading and liking this one so much. Honestly, probably one of my favorite Christmas themed romance stories that I have read so far....more

Lauren Blakely is hands down one of my favorite authors and storytellers. I loved this cute Christmas themed romance. Only, the instant love kind of annoyed me and was very predictable. I guess it just takes a lot for me to really believe love at first sight situations. They have to be done extremely well and it kind of didn't convince me 100% right at first. I loved how sassy and headstrong the main heroine Quinn was. Some parts of this book really made me think about life and what matters most. Even had a few teary-eyed moments in there for me while reading. All in all, for such a short story it was very much enjoyable, and let's be honest I will read anything that Lauren Blakely writes....more
Billionaire Bosshole was one hot steamy romance novel that I could not put down. From the very start of the book, I was hooked with the two main characters Ronan and Quinn. Quinn the main heroine was so likable and relatable. Despite Ronan's cockiness throughout the whole book (which made you love him more) was surely a book boyfriend that I will not get over. There were so many things that I absolutely adored about this book.
1. I loved the sexual tension and all the steam. Both main characters have the best arguments and banter. This was one enemy to lovers trope done extremely well especially since it is my favorite romance trope.
2. The chemistry was unlike a lot of romance stories. Both characters are headstrong and very stubborn in the best ways possible.
3. I was rooting for a HEA the entire time and the ending did not disappoint in the slightest.
4. The main character/alpha male Ronan adores his family and is a family man. This made me giddy on the inside. That despite all of his walls and cockiness he was still an amazing person.
5. The two characters have hot sex but also while on a business trip to Hawaii!!! I love books that take you to the beach.
6. An office romance done the way it should be! Office romances are also some of my favorite romance tropes as well.
7. The main heroine was anything but weak and stuck up for herself. I am huge on girl power and strong female characters.
8. Relationships are supposed to challenge each other and these two characters did just that. It felt extremely realistic and I loved that aspect of the book. I was actually rooting for these two characters the whole time and extremely invested in their story.
9. The plot showed that love is sometimes a sacrifice. That all of the best love stories require a little bit of sacrifice that putting your happiness aside for your partner happens and that is what true love is. Making sure to try to keep the other person happy.
10. There is more to Ronan than just his looks and cockiness. Swoon alert!
This was my first book by Laura Lee and it certainly will not be my last because I loved her writing style! I flew through Billionaire Bosshole and did not want it to end. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I loved this book and did not want it to end. You can read this story as a standalone like I did. The book was written in alternating thoughts between the two main characters which I loved because you get to see what both main characters are thinking. You have to pick up this novel if you love steamy romance novels! You will not be disappointed....more

This was my first Erin Nicholas novel and I loved her writing style. The story centers around a bakery and lots of baking and sweets which I always love. Plus, the main heroine is a virgin which made for a hot steamy plot. I do not want to give anything away but at times the plot was predictable but I still very much enjoyed reading this book and flew through it. I don't know if I will continue on with the series but I will for sure be picking up another book by the author. Plus, the author and I have the same last name which is totally dope! <3...more
Lauren Blakely is one of my favorite authors and I will read anything that she releases. I had never read anything by Lili Valente before but I was very pleased with this author duo and Good With His Hands. The book follows a girl named Ruby and her best friend's brother Jesse. The two of them have had a thing for each other for as long as they can remember and finally take the leap and take a chance romantically. It is one great friends to lovers story that is written extremely well despite there being two authors.
Unfortunately, after finally making moves on each other Jesse admits that he is going to be moving across the country. Can their relationship last despite a move? Regardless of the book being kind of slow-moving and predictable, there were countless things that I loved about this book.
1. Jesse is not a player and from the start warns Ruby about his move before becoming intimate. 2. The sex is hot. 3. Before the two characters cave and become intimate the angst and build-up/anticipation to their first kiss is everything and oh so entertaining.... exactly how I like my romance novels. It is nothing but steamy! 4. Both Ruby and Jesse are very supportive of each other and their goals and dreams. 5. Both Ruby and Jesse are artistic and have a very cute scene painting. 6. I loved reading about both of Jesse's and Ruby's family members. 7. The character's first date is so cute. 8. Jesse encourages Ruby to step outside of her comfort zone and encourages her to be the best version of herself. He sees the potential that she has. 9. Grief is shown beautifully and the two characters lean on each other in the best way to get over Jesse's sister dying. This is when grief and tragedy can bring people together and is depicted extremely well. 10. I loved the bucket list that Claire ended up leaving for Ruby. How Ruby was determined to do everything on the list that her best friend Claire intended for her to do. 11. There is amazing flirting that will make you smile. 12. Ruby has great strength and does not let a car accident get the best of her despite her injuries. 13. Even though this was written by two authors you have absolutely no idea who wrote what because both authors are such amazing writers and worked extremely well together.
This is one friends to lovers romance that you do not want to miss. It has substance to it and will hit your heartstrings in all the right places. There were some teary-eyed moments in there too! Good With His Hands was relatable and beautiful!...more
I will read anything written by Lauren Blakely because she never disappoints. Getting into How to Get Lucky was a slow start for me but once I got into the book farther it really started to pique my interest. It just took me a while to start liking the characters.
The book follows a guy named Teddy that falls for his boss's little sister London. There was a lot of build-up surrounding London's brother finding out about their relationship that it honestly became frustrating for me. I wish they could have been honest with London's brother from the start. However, there were still lots of things that I did enjoy about this novel.
1. Both main characters have dogs and are crazy for them. It makes their relationship that much cuter. Their dates to the dog park are nothing but adorable! I love books with pets. Plus, the dogs have the cutest names ever David Bowie and Mr. Darcy. 2. There are tons of music references. 3. I love the banter between London and her best friends via text messages. 4. The book was mainly in Teddy's POV and I love reading from a male's perspective. 5. The witty banter and jokes made me laugh out loud. 6. Both authors wrote seamlessly together and you could not tell who wrote what. 7. I loved the sex scenes. Especially their first romantic encounter on the couch HAHAHA.
Initially, I wasn't that into the two main characters of How to Get Lucky but by the end of the book, I really did like them. The book would have been a whole lot better if more of the secondary characters were in the story. Those were some of my favorite scenes to read and enjoyed all of them. If you like forbidden romances then I would give this novel a try. You can never go wrong with a Lauren Blakely novel!...more
When I saw that Healing My Heart was a second chance at love story set around Christmas time... I knew that I had to pick it up to try. This was the first book that I had read by Gina Azzi and I absolutely adored her writing style. You can read this book out of the series like I did in no specific order. It is a standalone story. I had no idea it was even a series before requesting the ARC to read.
I loved the two main character's Charlie and Evan. Evan is a single dad and totally swoonable. He comes across Charlie and they instantly hit it off and sparks fly. Only Evan is too afraid to commit to Charlie and get hurt again. This leaves Charlie devasted and she goes back to New York City to pick herself up.
Only then does she comes home for the Christmas holiday to fall back into old patterns with Evan again. Will this second chance at love pan out? Yes, the story was predictable but only at it's best! There are some twists and turns in there that made it more than worth reading. I love how realistic this novel was and Azzi did a great job at that. Healing My Heart put me in the holiday mood and has spurred me to read other Christmas themed romances. I loved the ending of the book because it was nothing short of perfection! YAY for the single dad trope!...more
Cocky professor had everything set up to be a novel that I was going to love. From the minute the main heroine Hailey accidentally runs into Declan spilling coffee all over him a steamy romance ensues only for Hailey to find out Declan is her new professor.
While the steamy moments were great the plot fell flat at times. I felt like the author was trying too hard and trying to use too many tropes at a time when she should have been focusing on one. Is this an office romance or a student-teacher romance? At times, things felt rushed. The ending came abruptly.
While I did enjoy the characters the main character Hailey annoyed me at times. While I was reading the ARC for this book there were sooooo many errors that at times it was hard to figure out what was going on. I know this will probably be fixed closer to publication but still..... With some work, this could be an amazing story. I can't help but edit when I read. I am a grammar junkie.
All in all, this was a pretty average read for me. I read it fast and enjoyed the banter between the two characters. I wish I would have rooted for the main characters a little more because honestly at times I did not care if they would end up together....more
Prior to starting The Estate, I had heard nothing about this book or the author before and man am I glad that I picked up this book based on the blurb because this story consumed me. The only downfall of the book was at times I felt the plot dragged on a tad and took me a little longer to read. It is for sure a lengthier romance novel. However, the character development and plot were superb. There were lots of things that I enjoyed about The Estate and all the book had to offer.
1. The main hero Carter was one hot character. You could tell from his character description that he is one hot male. Just the way that I like them in stories. Strong, smart, hardworking, and determined. Plus, he knows how to treat a lady right. 2. Full lengthy sex scenes that were nothing but steamy. 3. Smart and sassy heroine named Lex. 4. A bunch of drama to keep you entertained and wanting to turn the page to find out what happens next. 5. The main character Carter has a horse! (a big plus, being an animal lover). I love books with animals thrown into them. 6. The characters met by chance but fell in love. 7. Despite Carter's past, he still never gives up on love and fights for Lex throughout the whole book. 8. One beautiful HEA that made me smile! 9. Carter is cocky but in the best ways. 10. The villains of the story receive the karma that they deserve. 11. The descriptions of the settings were so vivid I swear I could see the whole story pan out while reading it. Ivy Wild is one amazing writer! 12. The book showed that your dreams are never too late to achieve or work towards.

When Daisy's best friend Ben asks her to pretend a relationship with him for his work she can't refuse. However, Daisy has been attracted to him forever. Lots of banter and steamy moments ensue.
The main character Daisy is one tough chick! She has an amazing relationship with her little sister that I couldn't help but love.... but she is also a twin. However, the twin has long been missing in action. I would have loved to see more of her side to the story.
The story has tons of twists and turns that I did enjoy despite the story being sort of predictable and slow-moving. I was rooting for the main couple the entire time though. I love how both characters realize that the best relationships come off of friendships. How your partner is also supposed to be your best friend.
I was so close to giving this novel four stars.... it just sort of dragged on a bit for me. I didn't care about the character's jobs and the book revolved around their work-life a lot. I wanted more moments with both of their friend groups. Those were the parts of the book that I enjoyed the most. I also would have loved more backstory.
