About The Book Harry Potter has never even heard of Hogwarts when the letters start dropping on the doormat at number four, Privet Drive. Addressed in green ink on yellowish parchment with a purple seal, they are swiftly confiscated by his grisly aunt and uncle. Then, on Harry's eleventh birthday, a great beetle-eyed giant of a man called Rubeus Hagrid bursts in with some astonishing news: Harry Potter is a wizard, and he has a place at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. An incredible adventure is about to begin
My Thoughts If you haven't heard of Harry Potter then seriously? Where have you been?? Harry Potter has been a massive part of my life since I was a kid. I grew up on these books and the movies. By the time the last book came out I had a kid of my own. Who is now obsessed with Harry Potter himself.
I received the audio book for review a while ago. And I kept putting off listening to it because I struggle at times with audiobooks. However, after being pestered by my 9 year old to listen to it after he was looking through my phone. I decided we would listen to it together. And I regret leaving it so long. The audiobook was quite simply magical.
If you have already read my other Twilight reviews you will know I am obsessed with this series and you will know that I adore it.

Eclipse is the third installement in The Twilight Saga and it once again follows Bella as she faces some tough times and torn between the love of Edward and the love Jacob. What I loved about this is we get more of an insight into the wolves and there background. Twilight is probably the only book I pick werewolves over the vampires. Their story is just captivating and I would to a have prequel involving just the wolves. We also get to Rosalie and Jasper story. Even though these are horrible brutal stories you can't help but being drawn into them.
I'm still not a big Bella fan. I never will be. As said in past review she is too whiny and relys to much on other people. I just wanted to slap in this for emotional torturing my poor Jacob. Even though I knew that her and Edward are perfect for each other. I couldn't help thinking she should be with Jacob.
In Eclipse we are introduced to "Imprinting" amoung the wolves. Where you find you soulmate and everything changes. I found this really interesting. Ok. I don't believe in the whole love at first sight but I do believe in soulmates.
The only thing I didn't like about this was the action. There was some action in this novel. However we dont get to see because we get Bella's point of view. Overall though another gripping tale from the wonderful Stephenie Meyer

I loved The host so much. Although, the first time I attempted to read it I just couldn't get into it and I actually throw it against my wall (shame on mee). However, one night when I had nothing else to read I decided to give it another go and I am so glad I did. The Host is a little slow to start but a few chapters in I feel in love. Stephenie Meyer really exceeded my expections of this novel. Her writing has improved so much from The Twilight Saga. This is her first Adult sci-fi novels and lets hope it not her last. This is Stephenie Meyer's first adult novel and has proven to be a fantastic and gripping with great imaginative descriptions of other-worldly planets and creatures The relationship between Mel and Wanda doesnt start out that great. Mel is a rouge human in hiding from the souls who have invaded the planet and taking over the humans body. Wanda is a soul who has never found a planet she wants to stay until she gets to earth. When Mel is caught by the seekers Wanda is put into her body but on waking up Wanda realises that Mel is still there and refuses to go away. Mel and Wanda relationship is one a really loved. They really did grow to be like sisters in the end. Mel is in love with Jared and due to her memories Wanda does feel like she has affection for him also. They both love Mel's little brother Jamie, who from the first time you meet him he starts to grow close to Wanda. Jared bears a grudge with Wanda and is cruel to her but as the books go on they do get closer. He loves Mel so much and would do anything for her. There are so many characters in the books that I would be here forever lol. Most of the people in the book hated being around Wanda but through the people start to like her and treat her like everyone else. One person who did this was Kyle who really couldnt stand and eventually he become cool with her. Kyle's brother Ian is another story lol. I LOVED him. (Still do) He genuially liked Wanda for Wanda and not for Mel's body. He made me swoon. He lovely.
Overall, this book is a high recommended read to anyone. This book really gets you thinking about the ethics, the power of love and the good and bad sides of human experiences....more

I really enjoyed reading this story, Its a real page turner. It really draws you in from the start. It dark, mysterious and down right sexy. I loved the relationship between Nora and Patch. Its just full of sexual tension at some part even I was screaming just do it already lol. I found it real easy to connect with Nora, she "attractive, intelligent and vulnerable". Patch is just so.....mmmmm....yeah lol. He is the bad boy. And it is easy to understand why Nora its drawn to him. He is very mysterious and just plain yummy. lol. I know alot of review have mentioned they dont like how Nora is with Patch because one minute she can't stand him and the next she its attracted to him and well I liked that part of there relationship because I have been there. lol
The only down side was Nora's best friend Vee, she just really irriated me. I didn't like her all that much. They hardly even acted like best friends most of the time.
This is Becca's debut novel and what a wonderful novel. It is packed with twists and turns you don't see coming.
I would recommend this to those to like a dark story with some mystery. Also not recommend from younger readers due to some scenes in it. 15+
Oh and to all the reviews out there that claim this as a "Twilight Spin-off" what are you guys on??? The story is totally different and not a vampire in sight. It is also far better written.

Review: I have been in an awful slump since June. I had tried so many different books and none would hold my attention longer than the first few pages. However, I was sitting watching tv and HoN popped into my head. It had been a while since I read this series so decided I would try Marked. And I devoured it in a few hours.
Marked follows Zoey as her life is turned upside down when she starts turning into a vampire. Her mother isn't supportive at all even though Zoey is scared and didn't ask for this. Zoey runs away from home to her Grandma's house but ends up having an accident and finds herself waking up in the House of Night. There she struggles to fit in because she is different to other fledglings. She is trying to juggle classes, her new friends, her almost ex boyfriend and a boy who could be her future boyfriend all the while trying to take down her enemy.
I know a lot of people don't like these books but I personally love them. When I first read Marked it was straight after Twilight and I remember thinking how different it was. I found the storyline refreshing and Zoey seriously kick ass. Yeah she has a whiny moments but she is 16 that's to be expected!!! I thought the chemistry she has with her friends are very natural and easy. The authors didn't have to force any relationships they all seemed real.
This time around I read it quicker. Just because I think my brain needed something that wasn't a challenge to read. The plot is very fast paced and so much fun. It's not overly seriously and has a lot of funny moments. However, the whole books takes place over I think 3 days? So some part do feel very rush especially the ending. An extra chapter or two and this would have been a big 5 star book for me.
I highly recommend this series who those who like their vampire stories with a twist. Marked stands as a solid start to the series and leaves you wanting more. ...more
