No wonder she is living off the grid, in a safe house, and slightly terrified of all human beings. Enter handsome Malcolm as her new neighbor and she is torn between wanting to know him for his good looks and company he could bring and the threat that would burst her safety bubble. Hidden was filled with some absolutely wonderful characters and some absolutely sleazy ones as well.
Joining Pippa and Mal in the “wonderful characters” category are Angus, Roscoe (Angus’ quirky dog), Wolfe, and Kat (Wolfe’s new found kitten that stays in his pocket.) These four brought some light into the darkness that Pippa and Mal face throughout the book.
I enjoyed this band of misfit gathering together all of their special talents and using them to make the world a safer place. They are like a super government agency force that is kept secret and hidden in plain sight.
I did, not surprisingly, hate Isaac. Everything about him made my skin crawl. I hated his use of religion as a means to get what he wants – he is one of the sleazy characters mentioned above.
Hidden was a quick and entertaining read and I am excited to see where the rest of this series and characters go. I can't wait to read Raider and Wolfe's story....more

I found myself wondering just how much two individuals could hurt one another before it is unrepairable. This was a perception every early on in this novel, and I found that while I wanted to HATE Stella I was really unable. While I also wanted to HATE Jax I was also unable. This story was more about making choices for the goodness of someone else over themselves, and while I can find that commendable it was a struggle. Although, this is largely to do with the fact that I was so in love with Lily. Then once we come to the end of Stella and Jax that repetitive return of Jax to Lily to rip her hurt out really had me questioning my love for his character as well. Although, this is the same storyline plotline just with more development it was slightly different for me. It is still my beloved characters, and it is still about decisions and consequences of life although it took it to a whole new level. Overall, I enjoyed this series as a whole, and I am content with the ending. ...more

Archer and Bree have similarities to their pasts, but Archer's is by far the driving force of this story. Archer's Voice was such a breath of fresh air, and unlike anything that I have read. While I must say that Archer's story invokes a deep sympathy for the dark and tragic story that has made him the man that he is, but I love how Sheridan's wonderfully talented writing builds and turns the story to allow reader's all of the emotions of exceptional love story without always viewing him as the victim. I do not mean to mislead the absurdity of events that have driven his past, and the behaviors of this community that ostracizes him will continue to ring out through the entirety of this novel. It is frustrating and atrocious to observe through the pages, but she writes it in such a way that readers are still able to see him as the man that was dealt a dark hand and made the best of what has been laid before him.
Bree enters this story knowing that she needs to find a path to recovery. She is looking for a way to overcome her recent tragedy, and in the process is led straight to Archer. I love the budding of this unique friendship. This is why this story is so unlike anything I have previously read. This was this young woman seeing something in this man that strange that allows her to feel a connection to her late father but is lack of ability to speak to her. Seeing common traits she is drawn into this unlikely friendship that uncovers a man that has never experienced life outside the boundaries of his land. While the behavior of this town's members has not participated in bringing Archer into their folds when tragedy struck their small town many years ago, Archer's seclusion is as much as by choice as it has been forced on him.
I will admit that I slowly saw this relationship becoming a co-dependency situation, but I was pleasantly surprised when it became obvious the author recognized this and crafted the story to take this into consideration. Having such a powerful story I would have been saddened to see her let it become that Archer was not strong enough to stand on his own. She did not let this happened, and the transformation that it brought to the story and his character was perfection. This is so much more than a hot romance. Archer's Voice is a LOVE STORY, and one that readers will love to explore. ...more

That is precisely wFull Tilt has been on my "to be read" for a while. I knew that I had book one and book two, and thought let's get lost in a story. That is precisely what I did with this novel. After so many romances it is so special when I find a story that I can honestly say is like no other. That is precisely what I found in Full Tilt. From the first moment, I had a deep seeded connection with Kacey. I can understand her desires to feel acceptance and accomplished in the eyes of those that she desires to see her the most. Learning her character from the inside and experiencing her struggles through her eyes was so vivid and captivating, and left me reeling with the experience. Additionally, following Jonah was an experience as well. While I did not feel this character down to my bones like Kacey it was an immediate concern that overwhelmed me for his character. I would love to tell all about the wonderful storyline of this story and give more detail to these characters, but I just can't. If I did it would ruin the experience because this is the type of story that unfolding and revealing the nature of the story was one of the greatest attributes to its high rating. So here is what I will do for you. I will tell you that this story carries a romance that stands the test of time. I will tell you that everything about Jonah and Kacey is pure and lustful and powerful. I will tell you that it will seem as though with each other they will be able to overcome anything, and I will tell you that regardless of the ending and the emotions that it invoked in me that I still love this story just the same. It couldn't have ended any other way. This is a story that will stick with you, and it is one that will stand out in the limelight. Kacey and Jonah show what love can and should be, and with any luck, the characters alone will teach you a little something about yourself. At least it did for me. Thank you, Emma, for creating such a wonderful and heart aching story that was powerful in words and emotions. Thank you for a story that while it gives you an element of hot and sexy, also gives you the true value of reading and experiencing an adventure. Whether it is one that we would want to take or not. It was real and pure to the core, and I feel I am better for having read it seeing the value of people and what it takes to be a good person. ~BookWhisperer Review Jax...more

I would not have suggested a standalone novel for Stand, because any reader will miss the monumental circle that this series will take with the addition of Zee's story. After five books of vicious circles that have drug the readers through the mud over an over again to come out on the other side stronger it would be unfortunate to only read this story. So if you are looking at this story don't cut yourself short.
Zee has been the enigma in the shadows for much of this story. Never one to act out of character, and always the responsible party I was not quite sure what I would find in this book. So what did I find you ask??? All the reasons that this series has made me fall in love AL Jackson over again. You could have anticipated a bulking protective man, but Zee is so much more. Having made bad choices he is living a life that seems to be paying the debts for every wrong decision that has been made in his life. This is a heavy burden to bear, and until Alexis, he doesn't even know what he is missing. More importantly, he doesn't even realize the family that he has had all along. This is a story of salvation, and finding a way to not only forgive yourself but to be responsible and still find happiness. While Alexis is currently living a nightmare as well she is still will to live, and she will help Zee see that the gloom he has over his life is a choice. Showing him that making that choice will not only set him free but open his eyes to what has been there all along. Perception is the key, and his perception of his decision and role in this life is about to be turned upside down. Only Alexis carefree attitude is putting her in danger that he may not even be able to save her from. Trying to be her self preservation will put him in the line of fire, and force him to make choices that he may not have been ready to make.
This story will wrap up the Bleeding Stars series. It has been an adventure that was not always the easiest on the heart but overwhelmingly is full of love. Jackson's characters are rooted in my heart, and I will be thinking of them all long after this review is posted. I can not thank this author enough for sharing them with us, and I look forward to encountering more adventures when I start another of her series. While seeing this series end is bittersweet I could not have been happier with all it will all end, and this dysfunctional family that has more love than most.

Ash is by far my favorite character in Sunder. I love his energetic and witty self. I just couldn't wait to get to this book. Finding him getting his butt kicked immediately broke my heart. I was screaming inside for him to get up and "kick some a**", but I guess if he had listened to me then he wouldn't have needed Willow. The two of these are amazing characters. Individually these would have been characters to grab my attention, but once they feel together it was something awe-inspiring. Of course to continue the trend we have two characters that have a history of scars, but at least Willow was the change in the scenery. She seemed to have it together and found a way to live with her sorrow. Ash describes it perfectly when he talks about her light because this character truly depicted just that. That does not mean that she will not falter, but that she knows life it rough, and she will find a way through. Ash, on the other hand, was unfolded in a much different light. Really digging into his character I just fell in love with him more. All of the scars and bruises just made me love him that much more, and hope above all hopes that he would find a piece of happiness. That is exactly what he found, and it made my heart soar. Altogether this was one of my favorites in the series and uncovered a bit of the mystery of Zee making me really anxious for the last book in this series.

I absolutely fell in love with Shea, Baz, and Kallie from the moment I met them. This is such a powerful story that will feed the heart. After the cliff hanger of book 1 I just couldn't wait, and immediately dove into Drowning to Breathe. Shea and Baz are fighting their pasts that they had no idea intersected. Now with all the cards on the table, they are trying to overcome the secrets that have made them who they are. Leading me to fall further in love with them, and determined to see them come to a happy ending this book pulls you into the trenches. While you are mucking about you will find four more sunder band members that will knock you off of your feet. I felt such a connection grow with each and every one of them as all of there characters grow to create a family that wouldn't be the same without each and every one. This book does wrap up nicely, but it definitely preludes to future books for alternate characters. Again even without the cliffhanger that had me hanging on for dear life, there was no way that I wouldn't take the plunge to keep reading. AL Jackson creates so much love and devotion in her books that I have to see what these other characters have to offer. Even to this point in the story, there is enough to know about each and every character that readers will be determined to see each of them find peace.
