Lizzie James' book Tangled Web, receives a 4.5 awesome stars! As a warning this book is a cliff hanger and that is the only reason this book does not get 5 stars from me. With that said when the series is complete you can bet that I will be buying the entire thing and reading the story over and over. I'll be talking this story up to everyone (with the cliffy warning).
Lizzie James creates a wonderful world of deceit, where two people take a chance on each other. Nathan is a man who knows what he wants and he wants Chloe. He doesn't let the fact that his family hates hers stop him, or that her family hates him. He immediately convinces Chloe into a relationship and introduces her to the family. Nathan's on the up and up, but Chloe's just come out of a horrible relationship and has trust issues. Everyone else in the book seems to have an agenda where Nathan and Chloe are concerned and they are actively working to tear them apart.
Ms. James creates a world where you cheer for the characters and you sweat at them as they are making horrible mistakes. I am looking forward to the conclusion of this love story. I'm team Nathan/Chloe all the way.

Bextor has created in her newest book Kept: A Second Chance Fairy Tale. While reading I kept wondering if there would be a happily ever after for Lucy and Michael.
Michael is a head strong big shot attorney who won’t let anyone get close to him after a life changing event that closed off his heart to anything good in life or love. Michael is just living each day in a shell of a man he once was but will never be again.
Lucy is a doting single mother trying to put her young son ahead of everything in life, including love. Her once happy marriage was torn from her heart and Lucy now believes there is no such thing as happily ever after. Not like the Disney movies she loved to watch since she was a young girl.
Never knowing if fate is going to twist its gnarly hands of despair and heartache or weave its intricate web of passion and love we find Lucy and Michael meeting one another. OMG! Whenever I see Aurora Rose Reynolds name on a book, I grab it start reading as fast as I can. As usual she did not disappoint me with her newest book, Distraction. To say I loved the book is a misnomer, it was phenomenal, outstanding, fantastic, unbelievable! Not only do we find out more about Sven and meet Maggie, but we also get to revisit some of our favorite characters from previous books in the Underground Kings series. All the previous alpha males and their other halves are present with glimpses into their lives and closure to problems that involve them.
When Maggie came walking into his night club, Sven knew his days were numbered! He could deny it, but she was his. He has always been able to separate his emotional self from those around him and right now he needs to keep his head clear and in the game, or he could end up dead. But the more involved he becomes with Maggie the more he refuses to let her go, she is his forever! All he has to do is keep her safe, stick to the plan and take care of business.
Maggie is a good girl that just has bad taste in men! So when she went looking for the guy that drugged her sister while she was out clubbing, Maggie never dreamed that she would meet a man like Sven. The story is filled with action, romance, and unforeseen twists allowing the reader to escape from reality into a faraway galaxy created by this amazing author. Aria and Ryden’s story is one of desire, fate and believing in each other even with war raging amongst them.
Aria was appointed as Terra’s new ambassador to the union and a year later she is still struggling to find her place. Being held back by her colleague and apparent leader, she fights to see the good in every living being. When she is given the daunting responsibility to be the liaison between herself and the Brion general, she accepts knowing this is her chance to finally be accepted into the political realm of the union by her peers.
Ryden fought his way to become the next general of the mighty warship Conqueror. He took what was his right and didn’t look back as he became one of fifteen generals in the Brion Fleet. They are perfect together, but you have to continue reading to find the missing puzzle pieces of this unseen outcome the author has magically woven. I really enjoyed every bit of the story. It’s a fantastic addition to the series and my library!

The blue aliens are back in Ruby Dixon’s sixth book in her science fiction romance series, Ice Planet Barbarians! Barbarian’s Prize takes us back to the frigid cold ice planet and begins with the lives of the south cave dwellers and their daily existence. We are introduced to the hunky, sexy and oh so sweet natured, Salukh and his love/mate interest, Tiffany, a very popular female on planet Not-Hoth.
Tiffany, along with the other human women were captured by the basketball head aliens and dumped on the ice cold planet when their ship had problems. Her khui has not resonated to a warrior yet and she hopes it never happens. Unlike her roomie, Josie, she doesn’t want to be touched ever again. Her time on the alien ship before they escaped was brutal and she wants to forget it ever happened.
Salukh’s heart knows Tiffany is his mate and continually reminds his khui of this, but it refuses to resonate so he bides his time by becoming her friend. He helps her with all her job related projects and hopes for the moment to occur. The more time they spend together the more he sees how skittish and leery his Tiffany is.
Another superb book by Ruby Dixon! I was captured in Tiffany’s plight with each page and couldn’t stop reading once I began. I needed to know the outcome. I needed to know how Ms. Dixon would spin her tale even with the obstacles she had placed along the way for our main couple. Needless to say, I was not disappointed at all with the story and look forward to the next book in the series! With each book, Ms. Dixon releases, the anticipation increases to see what’s next for her characters. This was a fantastic read and addition to my library.

I’m not sure about everyone else, but Dante and Karina’s story has been a fascinating journey with several heart-pounding moments for me. With that said, I could not wait to get my hands on each new installment in the Iron Bulls series written by Phoenyx Slaughter. In Entwined, book three, we are caught up once again by the forbidden kinky relationship of the couple. The ongoing sex-capades find an all new level of sensual flair as Karina’s desires kick it up a notch showcasing her fantasies and Dante’s need to fulfill them. In addition to that a life changing secret is revealed to Karina and the implications have her wondering about her life and future.
This short novella is a hot steamy mocha latte ready to be devoured! With Karina’s best friend hooking up with Dante’s club’s president, I’m sure the next book in the series will be a scorcher. I really look forward to reading that book.

As with her first book in this series, Vérité, we are thrown into the world of Hafton College life, with a hottie athlete and a feminist who steals his heart. This is Blane and Caterina’s story.
Blane “The Stealer” is a Florida boy and NBA hopeful attending college in Ohio. He’s one of the best on his team and plays hard on and off the court. After an interview gone bad with Hafton’s infamous shock jock, Blane’s world is thrown upside down by a dare. But this gives him time to reflect and get his head in the game to hopefully win the last championship game of his college career. Although Blane has been dubbed a player with the ladies, he’s more than that. He’s developed into an alpha male that knows what he wants and stops at nothing to get it. When he meets the timid yet foul mouthed Caterina, Blane begins to want more, and feel more than he thought possible.
Caterina is a Jersey girl, half Italian, half Cuban. Short in stature but over abundance in her personality. Growing up Catie never felt like she was pretty, her self-esteem was void thanks to her mother and sisters. She’s attending Hafton State University as a women’s studies major. Not on the extreme side of feminism, just wanting to give a voice to all women no matter their status or job in society. Deeply ensconced in her goals, she meets a guy who changes her perception of herself and her life. Always sharing her father’s love of sports, Catie loves basketball and secretly has an obsession with the Fighting Green team. Her character is beautifully scripted from a woman of choice to a woman in need. A burning need that develops into a true fate type romance.
I loved this book! Everything that Rachel Blaufeld writes is intense and meaningful. The bold take on perceptions and stereotypes is evident in most everything she has written. With that, Dolce is once again a good hearted, love story with a side of angst. I felt the plight of the characters as the plot thickens. Although this book can be read as a stand-alone, I would recommend reading the first book as well. As always, this is an excellent addition to my library! Well played Rachel!

Joyce has become one of my all time favorite author's and her latest release in the Bears Fur Hire series, book six, Chance Fur Hire highlights the reason I feel this way! Ms. Joyce once again delves into the lives of the Galena pack and uncovers a renewal of an ancient evil. This diabolical plot is the extermination of all shifters, starting with Wolves and the executioners are known as Hell Hunters.
Vengeance kills the soul and can turn a good person bad. Emily Vega had worshiped her father. She believed everything she had been told about the evil demon wolf shifters. But reality is often different from what you are told by people that you trusted. When Emily met Chance, her entire world shifted. Chance was wonderful, caring, loving, loyal and not the demon she was told he was. He is the man of her dreams, her mate and she is going to prove to him that she is no longer a Hell Hunter!
Chance loves his family, his pack and will do anything to protect them. When he meets Emily, he senses something is not right. That she is not being honest. However his wolf is bonding to the woman. As I read this amazing story and reflected on the history of the Dawson wolves, I realized that Chance and Dalton Dawson were descendants of the three Dawson brothers from Ms. Joyce's series, Wolf Brides. If you have not read this amazing trilogy, I encourage you too! They can be read as a standalone, but you will not want to miss one story. Cannot wait to read what is next, great job Ms. Joyce!

As I read Given to the Alien, a science fiction romance by Calista Skye, I was pleasantly surprised with the overall plot and intricately complex world she created for the reader. We delved into a future world, where a space colony on the moon has been obliterated by the Ethereals. There is also a space station orbiting earth as its first defense against intruders. This is Olivia and Ator’aq’s out of this world journey to finding peace, happiness and of course, love!
Space Force Marine Olivia Cooper is sassy, resourceful and a soldier at heart. She knows what her objective is and doesn’t fluctuate in her actions. She is straight forward, honest and with a full-curvy body she knows men desire her. What she doesn’t expect is the instant lure of alien General Ator’aq. Her partner is being assaulted by a Braxian alien on her watch, so Olivia carefully calculates the steps needed to help and ends up catching the general’s eye.
General Ator’aq and his Braxian soldiers arrive in time to help defend Earth from the Ethereals but there is doubt from Earth’s government that the primitive weapons he uses will help them win. When he meets Olivia he is intrigued by her ingenuity and wants to know more about her.
I recommend that you become ensnared in the sci-fi world Ms. Skye’s imagination has created. You will not want to stop reading her story until finish every word.

Batina and Kraven’s journey begins like their siblings, Drantos and Dusti, with a plane crashing in the wilds of Alaska, but that’s where the similarities end. Laurann Dohner thrills her readers with the next book in her VLG (Vampire, Lycans, & Gargoyles) series, Kraven. It gives the main couple’s perspective of the plane crash and the happenings that occur after. Spine-tingling action, unforeseen twists and turns and steamy panty-melting scenes between our couple makes this a must read for me.
She drives him batty isn’t that ironic that her nickname is Bat, short for Batina Dawson. She is a force to reckon with. Attorney by trade, big sister to Dusti and now running for her life from her crazed grandfather. Kraven is an alpha to the max. He demands and people jump to follow his orders. As an enforcer he knows the laws of his people and ensures they are followed. When he is ordered with his brother to intercept the Dawson sisters, he had no idea that his life would be changed forever.
My anticipation held me captive throughout the story as I grasped the uncertainty and vulnerability from both characters. Each had been dealt strong blows from the opposite sex and trusting or having faith that they wouldn’t be hurt again, surfaced many times. They battle their way through and find their happily ever after, but not without trouble and struggles. The introduction of Lorn, as a possible candidate as a replacement for Decker Filmore (Bat's grandfather) over his clan was an interesting tidbit that setup the next possible book in the series. Lorn is mysterious and I cannot wait to read his story!

As a huge fan of Bella Jewel’s MC Sinners series, my eagerness to read Pandemonium was off the charts, so when I opened my kindle to find it waiting for me I devoured every single word, on every single page! The gang from her previous MC Sinners series are older now, but in no way are they less because of their age. Yes, they have grown children, but their bad-assery is still there and we are introduced to new characters that share that trait as well. This is Ava and Lucas’ story about love, forgiveness and moving forward even when life shattering events happen.
Ava is the only child of Jackson and Serenity (main couple from MC Sinners book 3). She is 24 now with a well paying job although her boss gives her the creeps and a wonderful family that adores her. When a rival of the club kidnaps Ava, her life is thrown into a downward spiral from it. She doesn’t know how to cope and it causes her serious problems. But her knight in shining armor, won’t let her drown…not without a fight. Lucas “Shadow” Black is a cop by trade and while he is on his daily jog he finds a crumpled, groaning kid beaten severely. From that moment, his life is changed. He has lost so much during his lifetime and the emptiness is prevalent in his life, he uses his job to help forget it. He submerges himself in his work as a detective trying not to live in the past and when he meets Ava he wants to help her through the nightmare she is living in.
I highly recommend you read Pandemonium! With the back and forth perspectives of the main characters that include past and future happenings, you are drawn into their lives. You feel their plight with every word and you yearn for their happiness after such tragedy. The struggle is real for them and you feel every moment. I cannot say enough about how much this book grabbed me and held onto me even after I was finished. The emotions, Ms. Jewel evokes are strong and lasting. I cannot wait to read what happens next with the other grown children of Spike and Ciara, and Cade and Addison.

Dawson Bride is the final book in Ms. Joyce's, Wolf Brides series. The dialogue and characters fit perfectly within the time period it is set in. It is the tall tale of two very unlikely characters, that find they are the answer for all of each other's problems! They were both broken and scared but the bond that formed between them was unbreakable and healing.

Even though she was beyond the acceptable age for a young women to marry, but that didn't matter now, a monster had found her and now she was promised to him. Her father needed an alliance and she was part of the agreement. Little did they know that her promised fiancé was a psychotic monster that enjoyed killing. When she is saved by a beautiful scared man, she feels safe again for the first time. Gabe stakes his claim and Lucianna claims him right back. All they have to do now is make to Gabe's home in America and not get captured.
In this the final book in the trilogy, Ms. Joyce shows her brilliance as an author as she ties together the lives of the three Dawson brothers. This is a trilogy that you will not want to miss and I highly recommend that you read them in order, but they can be read as a stand-alone. Thank you T. S. Joyce for this enthralling series.

Her storyline is enhanced with the use of the characters and their interaction with each other. I am blown away with this unique novel and how it evolved into something more! Cannot wait for the next release.
