This was a sexy, sweet romance that will have you swooning in the best way possible. Kim Karr delivered a story that was filled with humor and hot as sin passion and when you have something like that, you can never go wrong.
Being a part of a family business is never easy but taking it over, is even harder. Jules is all about making good first impressions and when you’re a wedding planner, perfection is everything. Planning a wedding to one of the most high profile couple in the state isn’t exactly a cake walk but when a misunderstanding turns into an unforgettable laugh out loud cringe worthy experience, having a doctor on board isn’t always the best thing.
Now working side by side with the sexy doctor who is also the brother of the bride, pulling off the perfect wedding is not a only a must but a necessity. But with the sexual tension so palpable, how long before these two will succumb to their desires ?
I will admit that this started off very slow for me and I didn’t know how this was going to go and I really struggled with it but once I got to the half way mark, it picked up and I loved seeing Jake and Jules come into their own together. I also liked the fact that they were bonded over something that was utterly tragic and painful but it made them stronger for each other at the same time. With some of the best side characters, an over the top wedding, and some sexy delicious scenes, “The thing about Love” will definitely leave you satisfied.
I know I’m probably going to sound like a broken record when it comes to this author, but this chick has held my attention for the past year
I know I’m probably going to sound like a broken record when it comes to this author, but this chick has held my attention for the past year and with every story she has written, it just keeps getting better and better!
Growing up in a life of crime was the norm for Caro. Groomed from a young age and now one of the best thief’s in the Russian Bratva, breaking the rules and taking what’s not her has never been a problem for this skilled thief. But this life is not always safe and for someone who has a lot to lose, running is the only option. But what happens when the past that she thought was left behind, suddenly comes back full force?
This story is way too detailed and layered for me to go into anymore details than what I just said so because of that, I won’t say anything else about the plot. What I will say is that I truly adored these characters and I loved how they bared their feelings with each other. I felt the hate, the anger, the frustration, but I unequivocally felt the love. It didn’t matter how much time was lost, or who did what in a moment of saving themselves, you couldn’t deny the love that they felt for each other.
“Come back to me. Come home. Take away this constant pain. Breathe life into me once again".
Will Caro continue to fight her past and hold her secrets? Or will an old flame set her new world ablaze? With a story like this, blinking is certainly not allowed and you will be screaming WTF at the end but trust me when I say that it's worth it.
If there’s one thing I love when I’m reading a story from a new author, it’s the uncertainty. Call me crazy, but I just love that feeling you get in the pit of your stomach when you open that first page. Your nerves are shot, and your excitement level is barely contained because you KNOW that this right here? Could be the start of something beautiful. That’s the way I felt about Commander In Briefs and even though I didn’t agree with certain things, you can never take away the fact that this was a well done debut novel.
There’s this old time saying “You should never mix business with pleasure” and I think the same can be said for a life long friendship between the opposite sex. Anniston McAlister and Theo Von Breman has seen each other at their worse, shared heartaches, and loved each other unconditionally through it all. But one decision will change their friendship forever and ultimately alter their future.
Now having established their own careers in Sports Medicine and being a successful baseball player, Theo and Anniston are still “Friends with benefits”. It’s been years since that night changed their friendship and because of a moment, Theo lost out on the chance to have something more with the only woman he’s ever loved. But it’s ok because they don’t call him determined for nothing and if it’s one thing he wants, is Anniston and he’s not going out without a fight.
“Brace yourself Anniston, I am about to blow this friendship to hell".
Taking care of people comes naturally to Anniston. When she finds someone in desperate need of her help, she drops everything to help the brooding green eyed stranger and unbeknownst to her, life as knows it, will never be the same again.
Before I go into anything else, I have to say how much I loved the friendship between Anniston and Theo. Every touch, every wicked banter and unspoken moment was felt with a familiarity that could’ve only been between the two of them and I really liked that. These two loved each other so fiercely and without shame that I wanted nothing more than for them to hurry up and get their shit together.
As much I loved their friendship, I did have some issues with it as well. Theo tested my patience on another level and I even thought about him getting lost at sea! I just couldn’t get on board with some of the things that he did and it made me mad. To say the dude was special, was an understatement but thank the Lord he redeemed himself a bit at the end.
As for Aniston herself, I really liked her strength and her determination to help others and doing something for herself that didn’t revolve around Theo. She was making her own Mark, setting her own rules, and figuring out what she wanted and you couldn’t help but admire that about her. Did she get on my nerves a with her over excessive bossiness? She sure did. But I think that was what made her a different and unique female heroine and what didn't work for me when it came to her, others will love it.
If you’re looking for a sexy banter, heartwarming story, then this one is perfect for you.
If You Were Mine tells the story of three best friends who loved each other through the highs and lows only to have their friendship tested
If You Were Mine tells the story of three best friends who loved each other through the highs and lows only to have their friendship tested with the heartbreaking death of one of them. This was the aftermath of what happens when the person you’ve loved for most of your life, needs you in a way that you’re not sure if you’ll be able to survive it.
Cameron and Everett has always had a special bond between them and through the years, their connection only seemed to intensify. With every passing birthday, every milestone, these two have been there for it all along with their best friend Aiden. Nothing and no one could’ve came between them and their friendship and in those special moments, they were the three musketeers. But Cameron and Everett were different when it came to their feelings with each other and saying how they really felt, just wasn’t in the cards for these two.
With a four year absence and the death of their friend that has put more strain on their friendship, Cameron is now back home trying to mend his fragile friendship with Cameron. But that’s easier said than done seeing that she wants nothing to do with the man who abandoned her all those years ago. Will Cameron be able to forgive Everett and move on? Or will it be too late for their chance at love?
Alternating between the past and present, we’re quickly thrown into the journey of these characters and how much they meant to each other. Their bond was like family, and their insecurities and jealousy showed the human part to their messed love story. I did have some issues with this one and because of that, my frustration level was at an all time high. I wanted these two to get their shit together and just TALK! The constant back and forth exhausted me and I honestly wanted to reach inside the chapters to smack them. Aside from that, I really liked the side characters and I loved seeing the younger version of themselves.
If you’re a fan of friends to lovers romance, then you should give this a try.

Well DAYUM! ! Eleven authors, eleven novellas all wrapped up into one smoking hot as hell book! Where are the warning labels when you really need them huh?
Yard Sale-Charleigh Rose
I don’t think there’s anything I really need to say about this book if I’m being honest because my kindle caught on fire!!!!!!!! That’s pretty much self explanatory in my book but if you want a little bit more on this, then fine. It was MOTHERFUCKING HOT! I was literally looking for the fire department to show up because cheese on rice! Everyone got pregnant! EVERY.ONE! These ladies can do no wrong and when you have the hottest snowboarder and the woman who brings him to his knees, you’re in for a sexy treat.
End Zone- L.J Shen
All hail the queen of aholes. How does she do it?! I loved this one because I’m a sucker for friends to lovers romance and this hit all the right spots for me. Sage and Jolie has been through everything together from family drama to breakups and the one thing they can count on is each other. But ten years of a solid friendship is about to be tested when they both realize that wanting more, isn't as easy as it looks. Will their friendship survive or can Sage and Jolie have it all?
Sweeping the Series-Kate Stewart
I love anything that this woman writes and to make this one even better, it was a hate to love romance!! Who doesn’t love that?! The sexual tension, the resentment, the banter, the want, can you feel it? Erica and Ren deserved their second chance at love and I’m happy they got it.
If you love sports romance, then this anthology was written for you and ONLY you.
Every once in a while we all crave that no apology, laugh out loud, cringe worthy story and It's Complicated gave you enough of that
Every once in a while we all crave that no apology, laugh out loud, cringe worthy story and It's Complicated gave you enough of that forbidden aspect to leave you wanting a bit more. Falling for your father’s best friend who also happens to be your next door neighbor? I was practically salivating at the unique ways they were going to hook up!!
Being a widower and raising two young kids is not the easiest thing in the world. Getting back out on the dating scene however, is full blown torture and for someone like Nick Jenson, getting a full body exam is better than that. Blessed with having a big *coughs package, finding the right woman who can not only handle his anaconda but his personal life as well, is proving to be difficult. That is until he realizes he has a little admirer and she wants a taste.
After eavesdropping on a very important and cringe worthy conversation regarding her neighbor, Anna makes it a point to see if the rumors about her dad's sexy best friend is true. What better way to find out than to turn into a peeping tom and get the full view herself? But one glance at his anatomy will cause her to have a mini stroke because it can’t possibly be that damn big can it?!!! Unfortunately for her, it is and so the cat and mouse games begin. Wanting something you KNOW you can't have, never looked so good.
This story was silly and humorous in every sense of the word but I enjoyed it for the most part. I giggled inappropriately , snorted at the most outrageous things and cringed my ass off with certain scenes. I now flinch when I hear paper being ripped so thanks for that one! But In all honesty, If you’re looking for a funny laugh out loud forbidden romance, then this is one is most definitely for you and can’t wait to see what this author is going to do with the next book in the series.
“You’ve never been a pawn. You’ve been the queen from day one. The most powerful piece on the whole fucking board".
To say that this series has destroyed all of my nails and gave me anxiety problems, is a HUGE understatement! After that coronary of a cliffhanger, can you really blame me? Lachlan Mount and Keira Kilgore sure knows how to make their mark in the city of New Orleans and with revenge in their path, no one is safe.
After reading the previous books, I thought for sure that Lachlan couldn’t get any more possessive but I was dead wrong! Being scared to blink in fear that he might set people and objects on fire, I read this story with my eyes wide open.
I was so sure I knew everything about these characters and that nothing could’ve surprised me so imagine my shock when I actually started choking after reading a very important chapter! When it came to protecting Keira, there wasn’t anything that this man didn’t do and for every drop of blood that she lost, he made his own retaliation in rivers worth.
I won’t go too much into detail about this but I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. If you haven’t read this series yet, DO IT NOW!! What started off as pawn in a well played game, quickly became more and I loved that. The dark desire, twisted vengeance and the sexy melt your panties off scenes, is the reason why this series is highly addictive and I can’t wait to see what else is in store.
Keira Kilgore has become something I never intended, but I make the rules in my world, so there’s nothing fucking stopping me from changing
Keira Kilgore has become something I never intended, but I make the rules in my world, so there’s nothing fucking stopping me from changing plans now. The best part about being the king? I can do whatever I want”.
Well SHIIIIIIIIIT!! I went into this one with such a full force because of that ending in “Ruthless King” and let me tell you something… I would kill to go through that ending again instead of what happened at the end of this one. I seriously think this author is trying to test us or make us drink more! Whatever the case may be, I know without a shadow of a doubt that if I don’t have “Sinful Empire” in my possession within the next few weeks, I’m going to lose my ever loving shit!
If you’ve read “Ruthless King” then you’re familiar with who Lachlan Mount is and his relationship with Keira Kilgore. If not, then your butt need to stop reading this review and go read the damn book. Lachlan was a mystery for me in book one and the one thing that I was hoping for in this one, was that we were going to be shown just how ruthless and terrible he truly was. I was practically craving it and the minute I read the prologue and first chapter, I was damn near scared to go through the rest because EFF.ME ON SITE. I freakin got it!! They say be careful what you wish for and my wishes are now on hold when it comes to that man.
Told in dual pov’s, this is the continuation and aftermath of what happened when Keira came face to face with her past and the lengths that Lachlan would go through to keep her safe. This wasn’t an easy task seeing that she wants nothing to do him and his corrupted world. But from the moment Lachlan made himself known to her, there was no going back for Keira and those feelings of hate are quickly being disintegrated. With every passing moment, lines are being blurred and for this couple, someone is bound to get hurt.
“I am not a good man. My soul is black. My heart is stone. My reputation isn’t legend or myth but a collection of facts.”
I really loved the fact that we got to see a whole other side of Lachlan in this story. I always wondered what was the Breaking Point that made him into the man who is today and looking back into his past, we got a glimpse of it. But make no mistake, this man has been through his fair share of a hard life and he worked his butt off to being the King of New Orleans, bloody fingers and all. We also got to see him interact more with Keira and I will admit that I swooned A LOT when it came to those simple but memorable moments.
I honestly didn’t think that this series cliffhanger could get any crazier, but once again I’ve underestimated this author and I’m going to do something I’ve never done while reading a book. I’m going to pray for any and all future enemies!! There’s a war coming and in this Sinful part of New Orleans, there can only be one King ruling his Empire.
This author never ceases to amaze me with her vivid storytelling and her ability to capture the essence of these one of a kind characters and this book was no different. It was unique, haunting, with just a touch a sexiness that will leave you wanting more.
Brochan isn’t your ordinary guy and to say that his childhood was rough, would be the biggest understatement of the year. He’s cruel because he has to be in order to maintain a level of distance in his world and expressing anything more than that, would be a problem. Meeting the new woman who ‘s about to turn his world upside down is something that this cold and calculating man never saw coming.
With a haunting background and unforgettable characters, Savage will be sure to take you on a crazy ride and you’ll be swept away with the magical feeling of being in Scotland. I loved that Lizzie was this strong female character and she knew what she wanted in life. Her past was filled with so much hurdles and heartbreak but it didn’t break her a person and I loved that about her. Brochan was a little bit more complicated and harder to read but the one thing that was clear about him was he protected his own and getting in his way, would only have you in a body bag.
If you’re looking for a magical story with all of the makings of a fairy tale,, then this one is for you.
“I just know…. The moment I touch you, that’s all I’ll ever want”.
Just when I think that the Nelson brothers couldn’t get any better, we’
“I just know…. The moment I touch you, that’s all I’ll ever want”.
Just when I think that the Nelson brothers couldn’t get any better, we’re hit with the sexy rugged Maverick Nelson that completely stole the show! I didn’t think it was possible to outdo Shane in “Wild Card ” but damn it, he did.
Being the middle brother has never been easy for Maverick but if it’s one that’s true, is that he’s a leader. Running a rescue team is the one thing that he’s good at but being in a relationship? Not so much. But when the new hire arrives and tempts him in all the wrong places, things is about to get a lot more complicated .
Riley Clarke is in desperate need of a fresh start. Going through a life changing tragedy two years ago has made her see things a lot differently, and what’s a better way to move on than in a new place with a new job? Now the newest member and only woman of the North Ridge search and rescue team, Riley is finally ready to start her new adventure. That is until she meets the boss and their sexual tension gets explosive..
Karina Halle never fails to amaze me with her story telling. This story started out with one of the most intense prologues I’ve ever read and I really didn’t know how Riley was going to come back after that but she did. This girl was so head strong and determined in everything that she did and I loved that about her. Now can we talk about the hot as hell sex and the angst towards the end?!! I was practically on my knees begging for more and no, I’m not ashamed of that.
If you enjoyed the first book in the series, then you won’t be disappointed in this one
Well this was one hot hilarious treat! I went into this story thinking that I was going to get a few laugh out loud moments with some very likable characters but I got SO.MUCH.MORE!! I honestly tried my best to read this one as slow as possible but when you have a storyline like this, savoring it will be the last thing on your list.
Everyone knows that the hardest job ever, is being a parent but when you’re a single parent, your workload has magnified into infinity. For Hope Lucas, nothing is more important than her two year old son and making a stable for them. Now the new owner of a Motel that she’s inherited, Hope is determined to make it a success despite the amount of work that has to be done on it. With nothing short of a miracle and round the clock hard work, the opening of “Hard Acre” Motel is quickly approaching and for Hope, getting this place to be a success would mean everything to her and her son. But when she gets her first guest from hell, success will be the least of her problems. Staying out jail, just became her number one priority.
Famous bad boy movie star Aden is in desperate need of a break. With the constant spotlight and his demanding schedule, Aden knows that if he doesn’t walk away and take some time out for himself, he’s going to go crazy soon what better way to get some time for yourself in a town where no one knows who you are? With no choice but to check into the ONLY Motel in town, to say that Aden is in a foul mood, would be a HUGE understatement. But there’s just one little problem… the Motel won’t be open for another two weeks due to inspection. I honestly held my breath when those words came out of Hope’s mouth and what happened next was a series of snort laughter’s, mixed up assumptions, and me playing the invisible referee.
This was my first time reading anything by this author so I really didn’t know what to expect but I have to say that she’s now just gained a new Stalker fan. I fell in love with the humor, and the unbelievable funny as hell banter but what made the story to me was Hope’s determination and fight when it came to her business. This woman did it all she certainly made a lot of mistakes along the way, but she was real and messy and so lovable.
Now as for Aden, that man made me call in favors to NOT end up in jail on a weekend! Without a doubt he tested my patience the first half of the book and I was already plotting his demise but something unbelievable happened: I started to actually like him after!! I know, I know, I’ll be getting my head examined real soon but if you’ve ever read about any male characters that would have you sharpening all of your deadly tools and then dropping your panties the next, well this man is the leader of the group! You can try to fight it all you want but once he starts talking, there’s really no use for underwear at this point.
If you’re looking for a hilariously sexy read with a small town charm mm then this is the perfect one for you.

I haven’t read a Melanie Harlow book in a while and I’ve forgotten the way she holds her readers captive with her words. Emotionally, I’m beyond exhausted after reading this story but I wouldn’t have it any other way because you know what? The journey was worth it. Every tear, every frustration, every setback was worth it because it lead these characters to the place they were always meant to be.
They say that grief is the worst kind of imaginable pain and once it consumes you, there’s no getting out of it without a few scars. For Hannah, grief has become her friend and enemy over the past eighteen months. Losing the love of her life and the father of her child, Hannah is now trying to pick up the pieces and be the best version of herself for her daughter.
Little by little, step by step, day by day, she gives it her all for the one person that needs her the most but it’s not easy. Taking care of her daughter by herself is not the problem, seeing your dead husband’s identical twins brother everyday? Now that’s an anxiety attack waiting to happen and unfortunately that’s the reality for Hannah. How can seeing a man that has the exact same face, smile and voice like your husband be comforting and heartbreaking at the same time? Falling for Wes wasn’t the plan but you know what they say about those…..
Finally returning home after being away with “Doctors Without Borders” Wes is now ready to be with his family and take over his father’s practice. Eighteen months ago his whole world changed with the sudden death of his twin brother and that loss has left his entire family with a painful grief. But nothing compares to seeing his brother’s widow after all these years. He saw her first, he loved her from afar, and knowing that she’s going through a tough time right now, makes Wes want to do everything in his power to be there for Hannah and his niece. But when old feelings arise from the surface and questioning your morals become a constant priority, how can falling in love with someone who’s off limits be right?
“Maybe I deserved to watch you fall in love with my brother instead of me. But maybe it just wasn’t our time then. Maybe it’s our time now”.
First off let me just say that from looking at the cover alone, I honestly thought that this was going to be a sweet romance with a dash of forbiddeness to it. I was not prepared for this emotional hot mess of family drama! These characters wore me out and I honestly wanted to choke a few of them with their stupidity but then I remembered that they’re family and at the end of the day, we love them and that love, keeps us out of jail ( at least for me it does).
I loved Wes and Hannah’s connection and seeing their individual struggle with coming to terms with their feelings. Wes has always been the shy type growing up and being the center of attention was never his thing so I loved the fact that he was his own person when it came to a comparison with his brother. He wore his heart on his sleeve in most cases and when it came to Hannah, you didn’t need to know that he’s always liked her in the past, you FELT it in the present, and you prayed for an unconditional love in the future.
It’s books like these that will have you smiling after a tear escapes from your eyes and you sigh with relief. You sigh because the hard part is over and you know that they made it. You sigh because you realize that your heart is full with joy and these characters did the story justice. But your biggest sigh, the one that made your entire body weep in relief, was knowing that love won. It conquered, it protected, and it WON.
As I sit here and try to write what I’m feeling in this exact moment, I realize that it’s impossible. How can I do that when I’ve just read some of the most powerful words that has not only touched me, but made me ask myself a simple but life changing question. “What Makes you Happy”? I had no idea that those four words and these two characters were going to forever change my reading experience, but I’m glad it did.
One The Way To You is a story about loss, love, and finding hope and strength when you were at your last wit’s end. I’ve always believed in the saying that there are people who enter your life for a reason whether it’s just for a few minutes or a few years. Good or bad, they make an impact on you and whether we want to admit or not, some of them shaped our lives.
“I think I knew even then, that the greatest adventure of my life was about to begin”.
Most of us know what it’s like to be in love and experience that type of heart stopping emotion with someone else, having your heart race from a simple touch, and knowing the exact moment you realize that this person is the one for you. Cooper hasn’t felt anything like that because she’s stuck in her small town with nothing but big dreams and a hopeful future. When a stranger walks in and asks her the biggest question of her life, something changes for her and from that moment, Cooper took her long awaited journey and threw caution to wind. But what happens when the trip of a lifetime become so much more than what Cooper was expecting?
I honestly wasn’t expecting this story to hit me with such an emotional force if I’m being honest. I loved that it was different and unique and for me, that was a breath of fresh air. I reveled in all of the different quirks of these characters and seeing their journey and emotional break throughs was some of the best moments for me. Two people who didn’t have anything in common, we’re suddenly joined by fate and because of that, we were given one friendship in the making and an incredible love story for a lifetime.
If you’re looking for completely different and touching story, this is it for you. No need to look any further because THIS.IS.IT.

From the moment you read the prologue, Someone Like You will have you hooked on every word. A soldier who would do anything for his family is suddenly faced with the reality of losing his daughter, a successful rich woman who knows what she wants but thanks to her family, voicing her opinion will be taking a back seat. Two people who came from completely different worlds, became each other’s saving grace.
After battling on enemy lines for a long time, Noah Dalton is now in New York getting ready to go to war for his daughter. With a nasty divorce pending, the only thing that he cares about is getting to spend time with his little girl and making her a permanent fixture in his life. But when his ex proves to be more difficult than he can imagine, Noah realizes that getting his daughter back in his life is not going to be easy. Lucky for him, he’s always been a fighter and when he meets someone else that makes him want something he can’t have, fighting for what you want just took on a whole new meaning.
“The scruff on his lips. He has that sexy kind of dangerous look. But I can tell this man is only dangerous because he is forbidden.
Grace Parker-King has everything a girl can dream off. Money, good looks, and a job that she loves. But underneath it all is a woman who’s suffocated by the demands of her high class Family. Told to never be a disappointment and stay in her lane, Grace has always done what was expected of her so why should her love life be any different? Bringing home a man that has saw dust on his jeans and rough callus hands will not be socially acceptable in Grace’s world but one look at Noah, and she’s willing to risk it all for a brief moment with him. But how far will her family go to protect what they think is right for her?
Despite a few issues that I had with certain characters, I have to say that I really liked this one. Noah was one of those guys that from the minute you read their pov’s, you couldn’t help but fall for them. He was sweet and loyal to a fault, but he was also very tough and he loved his daughter fiercely. I really liked Grace in the beginning and I was rooting for her in every aspect of her personal life but she started to irritate me a bit with not standing up for her self. I wanted to shake the hell out of her and tell her it’s ok to make your own decisions!! But aside from that, If you love a good romance with a bit of drama, then this one is perfect for you.
Brittainy C Cherry has always managed to bring out the emotional side with her readers. Every word that's been written into the pages feels like a warm protected blanket and you can’t help but bask in it’s safety and strength.
Never striking down for the emotional feel, Behind the Bars keeps you locked into a heartbreaking grasp about love, loss, hope and finding the perfect tune. From an early age , Jasmine has been groomed to be the next pop star thanks to her over bearing mother. Music and fame is the goal and everything else is just a waste of time and that includes being in a public school and making friends. But one encounter with someone who shares the same love and passion for music is about to change her entire life.
Elliot wasn’t your typical teenage boy. Being smaller than your peers and shy in high school makes you a target and unfortunately food him, he became a victim. His saving grace at the end of a bad day is playing his saxophone and getting lost in the music. When the most popular girl in school takes a liking to his work and becomes friendly, Elliot realizes that this girl is going to be the musical soundtrack of his life and ready or not, the notes have already been written.
I loved that this story touched on a lot of different subjects and the author made us look at EVERYTHING. It was pure and raw and heartbreaking at times but it had the right amount of emotion to it. Elliot and Jasmine weren’t able to be what they wanted to each other in the past, but they made up for it in the present and because of that, they had a beautiful future.
“I used to think I was cursed for having fallen in love with two men. But, in hindsight, I realized what a gift this was. They were my
“I used to think I was cursed for having fallen in love with two men. But, in hindsight, I realized what a gift this was. They were my lovers, my teachers, my best friends, and I would love them both until I took my last breath”.
Well that was a journey! I’m so exhausted right now, I can’t even. Wow, Kate Stewart certainly put her all into this story and it showed. It showed within every lyrical piece, every pulsing beat, and the raw emotions that bled off the pages with these characters. My heart soared and crashed with the music of their lives and before I heard that final note, I knew that this story was going to be one of the many soundtracks of my reading life.
Like most young adults, Stella Emerson is trying to navigate through this little thing we call “Adulthood”. Majoring in journalism to get her degree, is one of the biggest step she has to take in achieving her dream job and she’s not giving up because music is in her soul. So with a temporary status of being her sister’s roommate and working a job she hates, Stella has one goal and that’s writing about the best music. But little does she know, meeting the brooding drummer is going to change her life.
They say to get to the good, we have to go through the bad and with a love like this, I was dying to get to it because let me tell you: This was a rocky, heartbroken, soul crushing journey. I normally steer clear from love triangles because I tend to drink more and I get extremely nervous with them but for this one, I practically inhaled this book! Did I hate certain scenes at times because my heart broke? Yes I did. Am I upset with Stella’s choice? Heck yea. But you know what? Everything that was supposed to happen, ultimately did and I can’t wallow in the what if’s, I just have to appreciate the time that I did get.
If you want to read a story that’s going to put you in angst heaven, this is it. If you want to feel every single emotion while having your heart ache, this is book for you. Music has a way of changing people’s lives whether it’s just one song or a complete album, but human beings have a way of changing you completely with more than words.
“I don’t want you to break me. I want you to fix me”.
If you’re like me, then this book has been on your most highly anticipated list and you were counting down the days until it’s release. Fortunately for me, I had the pleasure of reading this one a bit early and let me tell you, if you thought you had it all figured out in “Animal” you’re going to be in for one hell of a rude awakening.
There are some people that are just born to be evil and Shank was one of them. You know how we all have a moral compass and it helps us in steering our lives down the good right path? Well Shank broke his a long time ago along with not having a conscience. What others would view as despicable and down right appalling, is like four course decadent meal for Shank. Blood, gore, chaos, murder, you name it, and he loves it. But Shank is in a different place now and getting his fix will be next to impossible seeing that he’s now in jail. How did he get there? How many lives did he destroy along the way?
Due to the nature of the nature of the story, it is my gift to you that I don’t go into anymore details. Other characters that are introduced? You won’t be hearing anything about them from me. Those twists and turns that you’re so desperately willing to find out? I’m not telling you shit! Why? Because this was a very layered, VERY complex story and just mentioning another character’s name, is detrimental. What I will say is that Shank is one messed up dude! He knows it, I know it, and the devil himself knows it but you know what? You fell for him anyways while wanting to do bodily harm to him and that wasn’t easy.
“I’d wiped her blood on my chest, my hands, and I’d made sure it got under my nails. I’d come on a pool of it. And I loved every fucking second.”
Do you see what I’m talking about? CRAY.FUCKING.CRAY
Certain scenes will make you cringe, you’ll question your own morals as you continue to read this story, and just when you think you’re finally at your wit’s end, you’ll be pulled down the rabbit hole once again. Was I shocked speechless with some of the revelations? Unfortunately no and I wanted that element of surprise to knock me off of my feet. But despite that, the story held it’s own and I couldn’t stop reading until the very last page.
Side Note: It is HIGHLY recommended that you read “Animal” first. Do NOT start this book until you do!
“All moments matter. We just rarely know how important they are until the chance to act on them has already passed.
Talk about all of the feels!! This was the story of Two broken people who were destined to be together, crossing paths in the most unlikely devastating moment and neither of them ever knew it. Two broken people who found it hard to love and trust someone else, become an anchor of hope and new beginnings for each other. This, was a story of finding love a second time around and having it be the greatest love of all.
After the loss of her grandmother, Rynna Dayne has now returned to her hometown after an eleven year absence. With emotional scars that run so deep, staying away for all of those years was certainly understandable but it’s now a new beginning for her. Now the owner of her grandmother’s pie shop “Pepper’s Pie” Rynna is looking forward to starting over and continuing her family’s legacy through her baking. Meeting the broody neighbor and his adorable daughter was an unexpected event but from that moment, Rynna knew that the father and daughter duo was going to make an impact on her life. She just didn’t know how much.
Rex Gunner is a simple man and he doesn’t need anyone else in his life. His main Priority is his four year old daughter and doing whatever he can to provide for her. Everything else is at the bottom of his list and that’s including his love life. Having a flawed track record and a broken heart to prove it, Rex has given up on the nature of love and he’s okay with it. At least that’s what he tells himself and when he meets the new neighbor, this is the mantra he chants over and over again because falling for someone and opening your heart again like that? Is a vulnerable pain that he’s not willing to go through again. But that’s easier said than done because you know what they say: The heart wants, what the heart wants.
I really liked inked that this was an emotionally driven story that was filled with second chances and hope but I loved the fact that we got other sides to it. We learned of headshaking secrets, we saw bonds that were beginning to form when we least expected it , and we got to witness the healing of two people broken hearts. Rynna and Rex needed each other in a way I could never explain and not only did we see their friendship move beyond that place, we felt it.
If you’re looking for a sweet emotional read, this one is for you.
T.M Frazier certainly knows how to leave you wanting more!! Whether it’s these one of a kind characters who can’t get enough of, to those what the ever loving f*ck of a cliffhanger, this author has always managed to keep us in her grasps with her storytelling and The Outskirts was no different.
Sawyer Dixon has been sheltered her entire life. While most people her age were out partying and going to College, Sawyer was in her own personal hell living with the devil himself better known as Father. After a shocking tragedy that turns her world upside down, she decides to do something that will change her future for the better. Escaping to a new town to start over seems like the only good thing to do and with a little help, Sawyer was on her way to freedom for the very time. But when she runs into the town’s most talked about man, things just got a whole lot interesting.
Finn Hollis is well known around the town of “Outskirts” but it’s the tragedy that made him more famous in some people’s eyes. Now a recluse, Finn is used to being alone with his bottle of Jack and his messed up thoughts that are filled with nothing but regrets and he’s ok with that. Who wants happiness when you could just be a shell of a person right? Running into the town’s newest resident and learning that she’s going to be his new neighbor, has left Finn in a not so nice mood and what do you do when you’re in that kind of mood? You become mean. But Sawyer isn’t going anywhere and Finn just realized that he’s just met his match in every way.
“You make me want things Say, Crave things. Things I haven’t thought about in a long time.
I haven’t been this invested in a story in a very long time and as I’m writing this review, I’m literally counting down the days until I can get my hands on part 2!! I really didn’t want to say goodbye to these characters so soon and I found myself reading at a snails pace for the final chapter because I just wanted to savor it. Finn and Sawyer were perfect for each other. Let me repeat that because I don’t think it was registered the first time I said it. Finn Hollis and Sawyer Dixon was FUCKING PERFECT!!!!! I always have to feel a connection between the main characters and how they operate as a couple and let me tell you, I felt their connection down to my bones! Those two were on fire and I loved every second, every minute that they spent together.
Now for the thing that I hate most in the world. CLIFFHANGERS. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. I can’t stand dat hoe!! We have a lot of bad blood between us and she’s always managed to not only send my pressure at a dangerous level, but also has me setting aside some much needed Bail money. So cliffhangers and I don’t mix well at all and this one right here? Had me counting ALL of my money! I know if I get in trouble on the weekend, I probably won’t see a judge until Monday and I ain’t about dat life so I’m going to be a good girl and wait. It won’t be easy, but you know what they say: good things comes to those who wait. And if you’re waiting too long, just drink some wine, it’ll go by faster.
If you’re looking for a new addictive series to start, “The Outskirts” is most definitely for you.
“One day soon I’m going to take you out on a drive with me and you’ll never be the same”.
Well this was one little fast ride! A racing bad boy and the woman who brings him to his knees? I practically drooled on the spot when I heard about this story and let me tell you, the story itself was one adrenaline-pumping, sexy read.
Being the son of a famous fighter, Racer Tate is keen to make his own mark in racing. Already a legend in street racing, he has everything that a man can want right now and nothing can get better than this. That is until he sees a green eyed beauty who makes him want more and what Racer wants, Racer gets.
Lana Heyworth has worked hard for the past few years on her family’s racing team and seeing some of her siblings begin to lose hope for team’s success, only makes Lana that more determined in finding someone. But not just anyone, this person has to have what it takes to get in the driver’s seat and be one of the greats. Bumping into Racer was an accident, looking into those blue eyes, was a mistake but falling for him will be the best decision she’ll ever make.
What will happen when Racer decides he wants the girl and the championship? “I don’t know what it is about her, but from the moment I saw her I wanted to claim, conquer, and own”.
I LOVED everything about Racer in this story. In the beginning I truly thought that he was a little crazy with his bluntness but I loved it!! He didn’t waste any time in saying what he wanted and he went after it. If he wanted to be number one, he did everything in his power to make sure he could get there and executed the same philosophy in being with Lana. His dedication and love to everything he cared about was worth watching and I enjoyed every moment of his journey.
Like the adrenaline junkie I was, my heart was in my throat on that race track with Racer. Every nerve, every muscle movement and scare, I felt it and even though some of those scenes weren’t easy, I’m glad I got to witness those moments because they were raw, real, and up-close. If you’ve read the previous books and loved them, I know you wont be disappointed in “Racer”.

What happens when the new CEO of a lingerie company comes face to face with someone from his past he’s now forced to work with? You get a lot Sexual tension DRAMA. “Under Her” was a hot office enemies to lovers romance that will leave you wishing for just a bit more.
“I’m not one of those guys who is all about the forbidden fruit and the chase. I’m not the kind of guy who wants something purely because he can’t have it. I don’t have to go after unobtainable because there’s more than enough of the unobtainable out there for me.
Wilder Cross is God’s gift to women. At least he thinks he is. Good looks, a successful career and soon to be CEO of his family’s company, Wilder knows that his life is pretty much made. Taking home a different woman every weekend and letting them know upfront that it’s only temporary is how he likes to play it. But his extracurricular weekend activities is going to come to a screeching halt when he learns that his parents has appointed a Co CEO to help him run the company. Not a bad plan right? Except that person who’s going to be working with him, is someone who’s hated him all through College.
Going to College is like a right of passage for some people. You work hard towards a degree that is going to elevate your future career, meet new people and hopefully make life long friendships, and you have fun because you’re only young once. For Morgan Stickford, getting to do all of these things is the one thing that she’s looking forward too and it doesn’t hurt that that the guys are pretty nice to look at. Especially one in particular but he’s the biggest man whore on campus. After an incident that leaves her hurt, Morgan’s hatred for Wilder became her new crush instead and from that moment, Wilder Cross became irrelevant to her.
“But it’s always the times when you’re at your happiest that things go to shit. Because when things go up, they always have to come down.
Now thirteen years later and a completely different person, Morgan is about to be the new Co CEO with the man who left a lasting impact during her college days. But things are different now and with everything in the past, Will and Morgan have one goal in mind and that’s to take his company to the next level. Working together is not going to be easy, but the sexual tension is going to be the death of them.
I liked that this story was a bit different and Will was an outspoken upfront person from the beginning. He never steered you wrong with what his intentions were and even though I hated his man whore ways, he was very honest about everything and I respected that. My issue was that as much of a sexual chemistry that these two had, I wanted an emotional chemistry with them. I didn’t feel it and that bothered me so much. I needed to feel something for them emotional wise and it just didn’t happen for me. For the most part, I did enjoy the story and I think if you’re looking for a nice office romance, then this one is most definitely for you.

I can’t believe it’s been so long since I’ve read a book from the fighting series I’m seriously smacking myself right now because I forgot just how good they were! I feel like I need to go back and savor every last word from the previous books that I did read and hold on just a little bit longer because this really was the Final Fight.
If you’re familiar with the past characters then you know that Braedan Daniels is the younger brother of Blake Daniels who’s now a former UFL Fighter. Well he’s making his own mark now by stepping away from the required family tradition and decides to become a marine. Doing the right thing has never been the problem for this Marine but one look at the brown eyed beauty, and he’s breaking all the rules of wanting something more.
“ I don’t need promises. I only want to live in this moment with you, whatever that means and not think about tomorrow or a week or a year from now”.
Becoming a well established performer in Las Vegas isn’t easy but for someone like AJ, having an opportunity to do so is the only thing she cares about. When she meets Braedan at the casino, AJ knows that this Marine is going to make her feel things she’s never felt before and when her number one goal is to be successful, that kind of distraction can be dangerous.
I don’t want to give the entire story away so this review is going to be short and very vague. What I will say is that I loved seeing Breeden and AJ’s interactions with each other. These two were the complete opposite of each other in certain things but when they together, it felt so natural and complete. I also loved that we got to see more of Blake and his family because I missed them and it was good to catch up.
If you’re new to this series or you’ve just read a few books before, then you’re going to love the final chapter in this epic fighting Saga.
“All roads in life…. No matter where I’ve been or where I’m going… every single one will always lead me back to you. In this and every life after”.
It’s no secret that this book has been one of my most HIGHLY anticipated reads this year and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. This author came out of nowhere and cemented her words on my heart without ever giving me a proper warning. Her storytelling is what keeps me coming back for more like an addict who doesn’t know they have a problem, but it’s the words that will do you in. It leaves you craving more and just when you think you have it all under control, she hits you with all of the feels with just one word.
Can you imagine being with someone who loved you so fiercely they would do anything to make you happy? Maggie knows that feeling because for the past ten years, she’s felt the exact same way about a man who would move heaven and earth for her. But their love wasn’t always easy and with a history like theirs, I don’t think it was ever meant to be because you know, some of the best love stories were the most complicated and heartbreaking ones.
Newly released from prison, Felix Williams has one thing on his mind and that’s getting to finally meet his baby boy. It’s been nearly two years since he’s seen the love of his life and with that acknowledgment, comes an anger that only fuels his determination in finding her and their son. They say time heals all wounds but for Felix and Maggie, time was their enemy.
“Loving someone and forgiving someone are two very different things. I love him. I’ll probably always love him. But can I forgive him and just forget the damage he’s inflicted since he walked back into my life? Forgive, maybe. Forget, never.
Corrode isn’t just a story about two people who loved each other and lost their way for a bit, only to come back full circle. This love story was messy, complicated, and against all odds but none the less, it was a LOVE STORY and it was beautiful in it's own right.
Felix and Maggie went through certain things that would make anyone want to give up and not hold on to the love they created but not these two. Sure they were flawed and stubborn to the point where I seriously thought about smacking them at times, but they never forgot what they meant to each other and I loved that through the it all, their pain and sacrifice had a meaning and it was worth it. Their love was worth it. Their family was worth it. THEY were worth it.
If you’re looking a second chance romance that will leave you with all of the feels, then this is the book for you.

Being in the public eye is never easy but being the “First Daughter” of the United States? Now that’s difficult. Constant security, lack of privacy and having to plan out your day 24 hours in advance while having the entire country watch your every move is what Charlotte Daley has to go through. Longing for freedom to just be normal for a little while,, Charlotte is practically on edge and is desperate to get away. But when an incident forces her to stay with her in her family’s grasp, her bodyguard Zane will be at her service in EVERY way possible.
This was a quick nice read and I really did enjoy most of it. I loved Zane’s demeanor and seeing his possessive alpha side was freakin hot! His connection with Charlotte was explosive and when those tow finally got together, things were set on fire. Did I have some issues with the storyline itself? Sure. But all in all, this was hot read that will make you want to have your very own personal bodyguard.

I learned early in life that honor and dignity do nothing but limit your power.
Well this was one messed up couple that had me questioning their state of mind from the moment I finished reading the prologue. They say that there’s a someone for everyone and after reading this, I think it’s true because crazy, attracts crazy!
Money, drugs, weapons, murder, you name it and Ronan Cole has his fingers in it. Known as the most feared and ruthless man in Russia with his ever growing Empire, he is not a man to be played with and if you think that crossing him will somehow dethrone him, you’re sadly mistaken. Everything has a plan and with the ultimate goal in reach, Ronan will stop at nothing for his end game even if that means taking an innocent pawn. But little does he know, this woman is not so innocent.
“Her absolute disregard for death incites me. Her blatant disrespect enrages me. Her volatile personality entices me”.
Blood, Torture, betrayal, it’s all in the name of Power and with the stakes so high, not everyone will be left standing. Power comes in different forms and the only thing worse than having that, is letting it get into the wrong hands. But there’s a game to be played and if there’s anything that Ronan can do, is play the game very well. All is fair in War & Power.
With a cliffhanger that is going to test your hand smacking skills, Bad is guaranteed to take you on a crazy ride. I will say that I did have an issue and something felt off when it came to the storyline, but it still held my attention and I have to admit that Camila and Ronan were crazy AF with their antics, and I enjoyed it.
If you’re new to the Dark scene reads, then I think that this is the perfect book for you to get started with. Please be advised that this does end on a messy cliffhanger.
By now everyone knows that I’m a HUGE fan of second chance romance. From the Initial shock of seeing your first love again after all these years, to the unavoidable sexual chemistry and the angst, I truly love reading about how two broken characters can come together despite all of the hurt and distance and finally get their happily ever after. “Wild Card” was everything I hoped it would be. This was a story about love, forgiveness, and knowing that family, is EVERYTHING.
There’s this very familiar saying: You NEVER forget your first love. You would think that being away for six years would’ve made those feelings go away but for Rachel Waters, every emotion came back at warped speed when she comes face to face with the man who broke her heart. Returning home to take care of her sick mother, Rachel knows that being around Shane will be unavoidable but what she wasn’t expecting was to have a lot of unresolved emotions for him and she’s determined to let them all out. But little does Rachel know, there was more to their love than she ever knew about.
“No one’s heart repairs overnight. It takes time to put the pieces back together.
Six years ago, Shane made the ultimate sacrifice that changed the course of his forever. Heartbroken over his decision, he’s found a way to move on and be content with his life. But that all goes to hell when he learns that a blast from his past is in town and she’s about to shake up his world. When you’ve loved someone for so long, how do you let them go?
“I loved you then, I love you now, and I loved you in all the light and darkness in between. I love you with all the wilderness I can’t tame. “
Every time I read a book from this author, I always want to travel!! The scenery in this story was absolutely beautiful and I pictured every single detail about this one. I was in that barn with Shane and Rachel, I was riding horses, and I could’ve felt the summer heat on my face while laying down in the grass. Rachel was a heroine that you fell in love with instantly and my heart just broke for her a few times. This girl was determined to leave the one place that brought her pain but also gave her the greatest love of all and seeing her internal struggle was what made her more relatable to me. Her connection to Shane was explosive and I loved the fact that they both knew that their love was one of a kind.
I can’t wait to see where this series is going to go. This was a beautiful raw love story that made you hold on to your partner just a little bit tighter and thanked your lucky Stars for second chances.
“We’re pretty hard to forget. Wanna know why? He licks my fluttering pulse, and I moan out a garbled, “No”. He hums. I’ll tell you anyway... because like any story that involves two people who fall in love, you’re my happy ending, and I’m yours.”
Oh my god! This book was an evolution overload of every type of emotion you could ever imagine. I knew that going into this story was going to be different and I was ok with that, but what I didn’t factor in was me falling head first in love with these messed up characters. They were unbelievably flawed and some might even hate them, but they were REAL. And with a heroine like this one, I was certainly never bored.
Most girls would kill to have their dream house and to be dressed in the latest designer clothes everyday for the rest of their lives and for a woman like Vera Bramston, she’s no different. Spoiled, rich, entitled, stuck up, you name it , and she’s heard it all before. To put it nicely, the girl has no damn filter and because of that little flaw, she’s now on a highway minutes away from being potential roadkill. But when she’s rescued by a mysterious sexy stranger who challenged her from the moment he laid eyes on her, Vera knows that she’s about to be in for one hell of a ride.
Jared hasn’t had it easy over the past year. From having someone whom he thought he could have, to no longer having that option and running a business on his own, it has definitely been a whirlwind year for him. But little does he know is that his life is about to get even more crazier in the form of a raven haired socialite. When opposites attract, it’s hard to fight that kind of connection and for Jared and Vera, they’re both going to go down fighting but only for so long. Sexual tension and all.
I must admit that when I first read the blurb for this story, I really thought that this was going to be a different kind forbidden romance and I was practically drooling with anticipation for it. But you know what? It wasn’t and I was more than ok with it because these characters held their own and then some! I’ve said this a million times before, if I hate a heroine, then I’m not going to like the book.
Vera had all of the characteristics to be on my hated heroine list in the beginning but let me tell you, that girl made me feel EVERYTHING for her! Her b*tch o’meter was going through the roof sometimes and if you didn’t know her as a person, you would’ve been inclined to smack her but I freakin LOVED her!I loved all of her flaws and I know this might sound like a girl crush but I don’t care because my favorite thing, the best thing about her was her evolution and growth as the story progressed. Her connection with Jared, her inhibitions and self doubt is what made her human and seeing her go through that with someone like him and knowing that he never judged her, is what made this story.
I could go on and on and tell you what else I loved about this story but then that would be like writing a book report and you don’t want that now do you? You want to know whether or not this story is worth taking a chance on. You want to know how we felt as we were enraptured in this emotional, raw, enthralling , effed up love story and what our view is on these complex characters. I could go on and on about this story… but I won’t. You just need to read it because it's sooo worth it!!
[image] [image] Can you imagine having the type of love that makes your whole body come alive by just being in the presence of that person
Can you imagine having the type of love that makes your whole body come alive by just being in the presence of that person and then one day you wake up and you don’t know who you are? No memory of a past life that was filled with hardships and struggle, but one of the best loves anyone could ever hope for. Your reason for existing is only for that person, and your heart beating as one, is as naturally as breathing. So with a love like that, can you imagine not having it anymore?
“We’re two parts of a whole, always making up for the other one. We couldn’t survive without each other.
Waking up in a hospital with no memory of who you are or what your name is a pretty scary feeling and for Jon Doherty, he’s being acquainted with that exact type of emotion right now. But that’s nothing compared to being told how he was found and what his past lifestyle was. No matter who you are, I think everyone deserves to have a second chance at making their lives the best to their ability and luckily for Jon, he’s gotten the do over of a lifetime.
This story was utterly captivating and heart breaking at times. When I read the first chapter I thought to myself: there’s no way this is going to be an easy read. And you know what? I was right. The journey that Jon took was emotionally exhausting and thrilling at the same time. I cheered his accomplishments no matter how little it was, I felt his sorrow and that constant ache in his chest of knowing that there was something missing, and I shared his frustrations when he was just trying to find those pieces that knew was missing.
“Her heart was breaking for a man that didn’t exist anymore. For a love that should’ve lasted forever.
This wasn’t an easy story, and this was never a feel good romance. It will hurt at times. Some characters will frustrate the hell out of you and make you wish that you could crawl inside of the pages just to shake the heck out of them. I’ve been in that moment with them to the point where I was pleading in my own head for them to make a decision and to stop going on and on about not being good enough so yes, the frustration was VERY real.
The one thing that’s going to take you by surprise and knock you off your feet is how much you’re going to fall for Jon and his other half. From the past flashbacks to the present, the love was still there and the bond was even more unbreakable even if Jon didn’t know it yet. I loved seeing all of those emotions when they were in each other’s presence and neither time or distance changed that. Be prepared to go on a soul shaking, heartwrenching, one of a kind love story that makes you believe in the best type of second chances.
If you’re looking for something different Then “Muscle Memory” is the story for you.
