You’re not just the prize. Your everything. And I want it.
I love a good forbidden romance so when I saw this story, I immediately jumped on it. Who doesn’t love a student/teacher romance every once in a while? I know I do and I couldn’t wait to see how Drew and Jule’s story unfolded.
Being one of the best tennis players at her school, Juliette Smith is on top of her game. Or at least she’s trying to be. When she meets her new coach, there’s an immediate attraction between the both of them but they try to avoid it. That is until they both succumbed to the temptation and finally gave in. What starts out as a forbidden affair, quickly turns into something so much more. But neither Drew nor Jules ever expected the next turn of events to impact their lives forever.
Drew prides himself in knowing that he coaches one of the best tennis teams at the University. Although he’s young, he knows exactly what he’s doing when it comes to coaching his team and he’s determined to bring out the best in all of his players. One in particular has been a constant on his mind and he knows that just by closer to her, his entire career could go up in flames. But you know the saying the heart wants it wants and nothing can stop it. How will Drew and Juliet’s story end? Will it be heartbreak or one of the greatest loves they’ve ever known?
I have to say that I really liked Drew. He was a force to be reckoned with when it came to knowing and getting what he wanted. Did he tick me off for a certain time? You bet he did! But I forgave him because I understood where he was coming from. Now as for Jules, she definitely tested my patience a few times and for that alone, I didn’t enjoy the story as much as I would’ve hoped. But aside from that, this was still an enjoyable read so if you love forbidden romance, you should give this one a try.
First off, I’m a HUGE FAN of Alexa Riley’s books. These ladies have a knack for writing some of the hottest stories I’ve ever read and not to mention their very possessive alpha males. You want a hot filthy read? These are your “go to” smut ladies! When I saw that they were releasing a full length novel, I immediately jumped on board to read this because smut and I are long lost sisters.
Mallory Sullivan has always been a hard worker throughout her life. Graduating top of her class, she’s managed to land one of the biggest internships at Osborne Corp. Not bad for a twenty three-year old? Little does she know that her life has been mapped out for the past six years and now she’s about to be introduced to it.
Miles knows what he wants in life and he always gets it. Whether it’s a business acquisition, or getting the woman he’s been obsessed with for the past six years, he ALWAYS gets what he wants. From the moment he sees Mallory, he knows without a doubt that she belongs to him. Forever. So what does a man with all the money and power at his feet does? He creates a path that will lead her to him indefinitely.
Although I did enjoy certain parts of this story, I was left with a crazy feeling. I loved Mallory’s determination and her work ethic when it came to her career. She knew what she wanted her career to be like and she went after it. But… for someone so smart, her IQ certainly went low when it came to figuring out certain things and that pissed me off.
Now as for Miles, that man took crazy obsessed to a new level. He was self assured In his abilities to get Mallory and tie her to his life no matter the consequences and that for me, was borderline creepy. I know a lot of people will find his actions rather “sweet” but I just couldn’t get on board with it. That being said, if you’re a fan of these ladies, then you should give this one a try.

What do you get with a reform bad boy and a single mom who’s trying her best to provide for her daughter? An inevitable attraction. Patrick and Hadley’s relationship came with so many obstacles that you couldn’t help but root for them and their happily ever after.
Patrick “Trick” Tennyson has gotten himself in a fair amount trouble that’s landed him in jail. Now on probation, he’s determined to walk a straight line and focus on his building up his business. Doing his community service at a companion program, Trick has run into a slight problem. The last two mothers has taken a keen interest to getting into his pants and he doesn’t want any part of that. On his last hope, he’s praying that his new kid will give him a chance and like him and her mother won’t have any type of sexual interest in him.
Hadley had everything a girl could dream of. Or so she thought. A gorgeous house, a successful husband, and a beautiful daughter that she would do anything for. Life wasn’t bad. That is until she finds out the type of man her husband truly is and he leaves her with nothing. You would think that Hadley would’ve been broken by that but she picked herself up and she made the best life possible for her and her daughter. But something important was missing in her daughter’s life and that was a male figure. Going into the companion’s program, Hadley is counting on Trick not to disappoint her daughter.
But what happens when they both come face to face and sparks fly?
I’m going to be honest and say that even though I didn’t enjoy some parts of the story, I really liked these characters. Hadley was such a strong heroine and she really put her all into everything she did. Her love for her daughter was selfless and I loved seeing how she interacted with her. Trick was as honest as they came and I loved that about him. He didn’t waste anyone’s time and when he said he was going to do something, he did it. He was a man of his word and from the first time he saw Riley, I knew he was going to be this big protective papa bear for her.
If you love a reformed bad boy, this one is for you.

First off let me say that I LOVE this author and I’ve read nearly all of her books. But this one right here? Me no likey. I really tried on this one but I just couldn’t do it and it pains me to give this one such a low rating because these authors work so hard on their stories and pray that we as readers, will love them as well. But you know what? You can't win them all.
After going through a horrible break up, Molly’s life is no longer the same. Feeling like she can’t possibly make it through another day, to say that she’s officially reached her breaking point would be an understatement. But just when she’s at her lowest, an occasional acquaintance who’s also heartbroken walks into her life. From that moment on Molly and Roman decide that they should become Besties and be there for each other. Two heartbroken people trying to move on, forms a friendship with each other. What’s the worst that could happen?
I really couldn’t connect with Molly and Roman’s characters at all. Roman frustrated the hell out of me and gave me neck pain with his freakin whiplash! I can’t tell you many times I bitch slapped him in my mind without getting arrested! LAWD someone pass me a drink cuz that man tested my patience in the worst way!
What I didn’t like was the interactions Molly and Roman had with each other. They both acted very immature to me and I found myself asking how old are these people? By 50% I wanted to throw in the towel on this one and just call it a day but I pulled up my big girls panties, and I marched on to finish it. Did I do it sober? Umm….. fuck no. But it was 5 o’clock somewhere so it balanced out.
When I first saw the cover for this, I will admit that I lost ALL of my brain cells at that moment. Then I read the blurb and I knew I had to get this one ASAP because Nicole Williams wrote this shit people! So here I am drooling/ admiring this wonderful cover and then I started the first chapter. After that, I was a goner and I felt sorry for the family members that dared to interrupt me while I was reading this one.
Nina Burton hasn’t had it financially easy for the last few years. At her last resort, she has agreed to marry the wealthy German Business Maximilian Sturm in exchange for one million dollars. We’ve all had that moment where you felt like THIS is the only way something is going to work and come hell or high-water, you’re doing it. This was Nina’s moment and she’s determined to see through.
But giving three years of your life away to a complete stranger is not an easy task. But when she meets the handsome man, Nina soon discovers that three years with him is going to be a very long time without her doing bodily harm to him.
“He didn’t just exude confidence, he defined it. He didn’t just garner respect, he demanded it.
Max has been working hard towards a successful career for a very long time. Being a day trader, he’s well beyond being financially stable and it doesn’t hurt that he’s not a bad looking guy either. So when the time comes for a new business arrangement that involves a woman that doesn’t even bat an eye lash for him, Max is confident that their new partnership will work out beautifully. Strictly business right? But for how long?
“Feelings were fine. Attraction was allowed. Acting on any of it was positively not.
I must say that I really enjoyed this one even though I wanted to shake the hell out of a certain character Nina definitely tested my patience towards the end and I really disliked her for what she put me through! My palms were itching to smack her but lucky for her, she pulled herself together and kept me out of fictional jail.
Max and Nina’s relationship was very unconventional and I loved that about them. They weren’t always nice to each other about some things, but they were very respectful to each other and that to me was the most important thing. I loved their banter, the sexual tension ( fans self) and Max’s ability to keep me swooning throughout the entire story.
If you’re looking for a hot sexy read to end your year right, this one is most definitely for you.

“We are chaotic and messy and not all pretty, but this is us….. this is ours.
You know what I love about these authors? Their ability to write some kick ass smoking scenes! They always leave us with the urge of wanting MORE in their stories and they give us just enough of a storyline to satisfy us. But when you throw some dark scenes, you find yourself chomping at the bit to get to the next page.
Quinn hasn’t had a childhood worth talking about . Having a father who used her to his advantage for all the wrong reasons she’s now making her own decisions. Working as a bartender at one of the hottest clubs in New York, Quinn’s life is now pretty simple. She goes to work, have some of the best girlfriends anyone could ever ask for, and a nice little routine. Having eyes for the broody security guard that watches her every move, Quinn is determined to get to know who Carter Savage really is.
“There’s something about that girl that consumes me to the point of madness”.
Carter hates being social with people and having to correspond with them on a daily basis. But there’s one fiery red head that makes him want to throw all of his social etiquette out the window to claim only her. His protectiveness over her safety has him doing things he never thought he would. His determination to make sure she stays away from him? That one was for the record books. Broken in ways he never thought imaginable, Carter will soon realize that maybe staying will be the wrong to do because there’s something he will get in return and it turns out, it’s going to be priceless.
I really enjoyed the majority of this story and I loved how everyone came together. But I did have some issues with it and I think that it maybe it was just me. For fear of spoilers, I won’t go into further detail, but I will say that if you’re a fan of these ladies, you really don’t want to miss out on this one. It was short, sexy, with just the right amount of Darkness to it.
I haven’t been on the edge of my seat while reading a book in a long time. I was like an addict trying to savor my hit and draw out the euphoria while thinking about the next time I can experience it all over again! This story was EVERYTHING. These characters were raw, passionate, and honest to a fault and I freakin LOVED every single thing about them.
“ I wanted his wildness, and his veiled passion. If only for this single moment, maybe I could feel something other than loneliness and the burning need to know the truth.
Elise Vale is this close to getting her Ph.D in archeology. Seeing that her main focus is in Choctaw culture, she’s looking to start her dig at the Blackwood Estate. If she can accomplish that, she would be on the fast track to not only getting her degree but finding out what secrets the lies beneath the Estate.

But secrets and mystery has always been a part of his life and little does he know, he’s about to dig up some more.
“I’ll enjoy your pain. I’ll use you, beat you and love every tear you she’d. I’ll get off on your fear. When you scream in terror, I’ll get harder.
This story had so much plot twists that had my head was spinning and I LOOOOOVED it!! I cringed, I gasped, and I was invested in this story until the very end. This story was not only sexy, it had just the right amount of twists and darkness for all my mystery lovers. Garrett and Elise’s relationship was hot!! I’m not kidding you guys. The things that man said would get you pregnant ASAP! But what I really liked about them was that they moved at a slow pace and they took their time with each other which was refreshing.
If you love this sexiness with a dash of mystery of and suspense, this one is for you guys.
I have been not so patiently waiting for Creed and Mia’s story and I knew that Monica was going to give me an angst filled, crazy twisted story that would leave me begging for more. Whatever you think is going to happen in this book, whether it’s your gut feeling or that little voice in your head that’s saying “I know already!. Do me a favor and tell that voice to shut the fuck up because it doesn’t know.
I felt like someone put me on a roller-coaster ride without my permission and at the end of it, that very same person oh so slowly turns me around and tells me we’re just getting started. Do you run or just sit back and enjoy the crazy ride? I’ll tell you what I did, and it didn’t involve running track because lucky for me, I’m a fan of crazy.
Creed Jameson was born into the MC. Knowing the club rules before he made it to the double digits, he knew it was only a matter of time before those same rules will be applying to him as well. Always having to follow his old man’s orders, Creed knows that being a part of the club life is only going to get harder and as he moves up in the ranks, so does his body count.
“Patience was never one of my fucking virtues. It was a Jameson trait that ran deep in my blood. I determined the who, what, when, and where in life. Anyone who didn’t approve could go fuck themselves.”
Mia Ryder has always been a little spitfire. From beating all of the boys in surfing, to voicing her own opinion about everything, to say she’s one of a kind is an understatement. Falling for a tattooed biker at nine years old and knowing without a doubt that he’s going to change your life, has Mia wishing she was already an adult. But some things can’t be helped and Creed and Mia’s journey was filled with heartache, loss, and a timeless romance years in the making.
I’ve always admired how this author could make the timeline in her stories feel so efficient and the way she’s always managed to make the characters childhood such a pivotal point in time. Her execution was flawless and I loved knowing how these characters felt at such a young age. Even though I didn’t agree with everything, I understood their reason. Creed was an intense hero and seeing his interactions with Mia and how she brought out a completely different side to him, had me wanting to stay in their bubble just a little bit longer.
Want to know how this story ends and if Creed and Mia get their happily ever after? Read the book because I’m not telling you!!
Meghan March is the queen of dirty talking alphas and you know the moment you start reading one of her books, you have no choice but to crank up the AC while simultaneously stick your head in the freezer to cool the heck down! I Love that this author is never afraid to have her male heroes take charge and say whatever is on their mind. They’re extremely tough on the outside but they know how to treat women and I love seeing that.
Banner Regent is the self proclaimed Queen of night stands and she doesn’t care what anyone else thinks. Judge her all you want, but that’s what she chose to do and she’s not looking for anyone’s approval. With a best friend that anyone could ask for and a decent job, Banner is living the life of a New York party girl with no responsibilities. But her favorite pastime is having flirtatious conversations with a hot former military guy turned mechanic. Their funny banters via text messages has been the highlight of her days and having him a friend is more than she could’ve asked for.
But what happens when the fantasy turns into reality?
“This man owns my body, and there’s nothing I can do about it”.
Logan Brantley has been the star in every woman’s dream from his hometown in Gold Haven KY. Being dubbed as the one to lock down and marry as soon as possible, Logan is no stranger to the gossip mill. Being back home from the military and now running his own mechanic shop, his goal is to stay out of the rumorsville and make his shop a successful business his town. But when his daily chats from the sassy blonde takes a new turn, he decides to make the first move soon they can meet in person.
Will they’re assumptions they have of each other be correct?
I don’t want to go into too much detail but I will say that I really liked this one. It was sexy, with the perfect small town charm and it had just the right amount of humor without it feeling forced and I loved that. But what I didn’t like was that damn cliffhanger! Are you EFFING kidding me?! I’m really trying to lower my cuss word vocabulary to a minimum of 20 f bombs per day, but Meghan March you’re testing me! It’s a good thing we don’t have to wait too long for “Real Good Love”.
If you love a sexy quick read with dirty talking alphas, this one is for you guys.
“ I’m happiest with my feet planted on the ground. But my heart- it flies”.
I’m seriously smacking myself so hard right now for not getting on board with this series earlier!! What is wrong with me?! This book completely took me by surprise and it left me with a dangerous craving of wanting more. And you know what happens when you give in to those kinds of cravings don’t you? You indulge.
It’s been a rough year for Dani. Still grieving the loss of her husband, she’s learning how to balance life without him in it. The funny thing about grief is that just when you THINK you have it under control and your good days are starting to out weigh your bad ones, something triggers all that progress. But that’s the beauty about having a strong support system with friends who do anything for you. And her biggest cheerleader was none other than the ladies man Alex “Easy” Rogers.
“Love was different once you’d known loss. Now I held on a bit tighter, knowing all too well how it felt to have your heart ripped away from you.
Easy has been fighting his own personal battle for the almost the past decade. Being in love with a woman you know you can’t have is nothing compared to seeing her heartbroken over the loss of your best friend. He’s knows Dani is trying her best to move on and he’s determined to help her in any way he can. Loving her from afar has been a struggle, but what happens when that distance suddenly becomes a thing of the past?
“I loved her, and loving someone was more about them than you, so it didn’t matter what I wanted.
I LOVED every single one of these characters! Dani was beautifully broken but she managed to be this strong heroine who took all of her heartache and grief, and turned into something worth living for. Her and Easy’s relationship was certainly an unconventional one but the way they felt about each other left no question. Easy’s love and devotion to Dani was awe inspiring and I loved how he gave her time and assurance in trying to work out her own feelings.
I will never forget these two characters and the way this author portrayed them was so effortlessly. She made us grieve with Dani and fall in love with Easy. They were simple but yet oh so complicated and I really liked that about them. Some of the best love stories are the most complex ones and Dani and Easy’s one was no different. If you’re like me and you’re just starting this series, then you are in for one adrenaline ride! This is a story that is not to be missed.
Every time I read a Karina Halle book, I’m immediately transported into the world that she so eloquently created. From the location alone, I feel like I’m actually there soaking up the sun, wriggling my toes in the sand and inhaling the fresh island air.
For the food, I’m tasting all of these different spices and flavors that mesh so well together from the ripe mangoes to freshest sea food, I felt like I was there eating everything. This is what reading her books do to your mind, and you have no choice but to soak up this experience because that’s what it was. An EXPERIENCE.
“He has a way of making me forget everything, a way of losing my thoughts. He’s always done this to me”.
Veronica Locke loves to cook. Being in the kitchen is her own oasis so when a new opportunity presents itself for to be a chef in Kauai Hawaii for her brother in- law’s resort, she takes it. You would think that leaving your home to start over in a new country would be frightening for her, but Veronica is in desperate need of a fresh start and she’s going to take it.
What happens when the one person whom you’ve spent the past few years blaming for the ultimate rift in your family, becomes the one temptation you can’t ignore. The only thing Logan has ever wanted to do was open his own hotel on a beautiful island and sharing it with a woman who would be his everything. Now seven years later, he’s widower who’s trying to keep his business and peace of mind afloat.
They say the best things in life are worth fighting for and the way Logan feels about his hotel, held no truer meaning than that. Hiring his sister in-law to be one of the new Chefs is going to test his ability on whether or not a past encounter was a just a figment of his imagination or something that will be beyond their control.
I really enjoyed this story and even though there were certain characters that had me setting aside bail money, I loved the interactions with each other. There were times when I felt like things moved too fast for my liking, but I understood the reasoning behind it and the connection was real. If you’ve never read anything by this author, you are seriously missing out.
Natasha Knight has delivered one hell of a comeback for Dominic Benedetti and love him or hate, the man definitely knew how to get your attention. He was flawed, ruthless, and he made no apologies for who he was and for that alone, I respected the hell out of him. This isn’t just another Mafia Romance, this is this story of how two of the most unlikely people went from being sworn enemies, to having one of the greatest loves in their lives.
Seven years ago Dominic’s world was turn upside down. The family that he believed was his, the bloodline, the knowledge of knowing he was a part of one of the most powerful family was nothing more than a lie. For seven years he’s been living with a self hatred for himself and his sense of worth is no longer a priority for him.
“I was the boy who would never be king. The monster who could never be loved”.
Being known as heartless and not giving a damn, his new job is now training girls and selling them off for auction to the highest bidder. But there’s one woman who’s about to change the game for him and everything he thought he knew, is about to change.
There are certain things that would shock the human eye and make us question alot of stuff but for Gia Castellano, those certain things became her normal. Being the daughter of a Mafia foot soldier, her knowledge of that life has exposed her to things she wished she could unseen. But when it comes to crossing the wrong family, those little things that she thought was a big deal? Is nothing compared to witnessing a horrific tragedy and being kidnapped.
“My captor. My jailor. My keeper. My tormentor”.
Dominic and Gia’s journey together was filled with blood, deceit, and some very hot passion! What started off as vengeance one both their parts, quickly became so much more. Gia was a one heck of a heroine and I loved that she wasn’t this weak person and could’ve handled herself if necessary.
As for Dominic, he certainly had me sticking my head in the freezer to cool down! Everything about him exhuded power and when he made you a promise, you knew he was going to deliver. Did I agree with everything he did in the beginning? No. But I understood them and I think it made the storyline different and if it wasn’t for those actions, the outcome would have been more detained.
If you’re looking for hot dark Mafia Romance, this one is definitely for you.
Well it’s official. I just got off the crazy train and let me tell you on that ride, that chick did NOT make any local stops! I went from being severely confused to the point where I honestly thought I was going crazy my damn self, to flipping the pages at warped speed because I had to know if the theories that I had circling in my brain were right, or if I needed more alcohol.
“Our love is difficult but it’s ours and I wouldn’t change a thing about it. “
Everyone knows by now that I LOVE me some dark twisty reads and if I’m clutching my hair half through the story while drinking straight from the bottle, I consider this book a winner. Now after reading this, I can safely say that I need a therapist because what was supposed to be a shock factor for others, had me rubbing my hands together in excitement because I figured out the plot.
Now I know you’re thinking: if you’ve figured it out, how did you enjoy it still? Well they don’t call K.Webster the Queen of Dark for nothing! Her ability to take this story and turn it into her own unique EFFEDUPNESS (yes that is a word) was what made this one different for me and I liked that.
There’s a saying that “Love Conquers All” and I never truly took the time to analyze that quote and say to myself: That’s true. After reading this, not only do I understand it, I’m now a firm believer of it. Sometimes we have a moment where we feel there’s a darkness within us and there’s no escaping it no matter what we do. It feeds off of us and it can snuff out our light that we tried so hard to make the brightest one possible. This is what it’s like for Kadence Marshall and the love of her life Yeo. Torn apart by distance but reunited by an unconditional love that never wavered for neither of them is what made this love story like no other.
“I love you at your best and I love you at your worst. I love every single part of you. I always have and I always will. I even love the parts I hate about you.
I know that I'm being extremely vague with this review but there’s no other way to go about it. You HAVE to go into this completely blind and leave your reservations at the door because it has no place in this story. Did I love everything about it? No. I found certain scenes left me in a state of not quite comprehending certain things in a way that I should have but that’s just me. Yeo and Kady’s connection and their devotion to one another definitely made up for everything else.
So if you’re thinking about reading any sort of spoilers, DO NOT DO IT! Step away from the review boards, spoiler groups, CNN, NBC, ABC, DEF, the whole alphabet or wherever the heck you get your news from, and just sit back and enjoy this one.
You want to a mind fuck? This one is most definitely for you. Please drink responsibly. You’ve been warned.
I have never wanted a fictional character to be the real life President of the United States so much!! “Commander In Chief” was the perfect conclusion to Matt and Charlotte’s story and I couldn’t have been more happier with the outcome.
Picking up right where “Mr.President” left off, Matt has won the election and now is now gearing up for his Inauguration. But with that successful win, comes the devastating loss of losing the one woman he would do anything for. Never being one to easily give up, Matt is determined to win Charlotte back and make her his first lady.
“This is who I am. I’m the president and a man. She’s the girl I love and the woman I want to spend my life with.
Will Charlotte give in?
Or will Matt become the ultimate bachelor in the White House?
“I don’t want to forget that for all title while, Matt Hamilton-forty- sixth president of the United States was- mine.”
It’s been months since Charlotte has felt normal. Trying her best to move on and forget about him, she takes a long over due trip. But distance is just being miles apart from the only man she’s ever loved and she’s now ready to face him. Going to his Inauguration ball is her first step to finally letting go but little does she know, The Commander In Chief has other plans.
I liked that this story explored the Ins and outs of the daily life of the most powerful man and his other half. From trying his best to run the country how he saw fit, to making sure that Charlotte knew exactly where he stood when it came to his feelings for her. This man was not afraid to pour his heart out to the woman who could bring him to his knees and I LOVED that about him.
Another thing I really admired about Matt was that he was protective but considerate, strong when it came to ruling the country, but tender and supportive with Charlotte. Matt wasn’t just a man that said something and didn’t follow through on it, he backed it up with purpose and for that I respected the heck out of him.
If you’re dying to know how Matt and Charlotte’s story will end, then you NEED to one click this on release day because you won’t be disappointed.
You know what I love more than a forbidden romance? A tortured hero. Melanie Harlow made two of the most unlikely characters have something in common and through that, they created an unbreakable bond. This was not your ordinary couple and I loved the fact that not only they were different, but realistic.
Being a city girl and coming from a wealthy family, Margot has everything she could ever want. Nice car, comfortable town house, you name it and she has it. But getting a phone call from your ex at 2am that has nothing to do with a booty call, is something she does NOT want. Having being the good girl all her life, she decides that she’s now entitled to do something for her and whether it’s done publicly or not, could make her care less.
Being part owner of a PR company with her best friend and knowing that the business is doing well, has certainly put Margot at ease but she’s in desperate need of a change of scenery. So when the opportunity to meet with a new client arises, she takes it with full force even though that new change is on a farm. What could possibly go wrong?
“I’d already met the love of my life; I’d known her since we were kids. I’d married her, and I’d lost her. There was no reprieve from that. There was no redemption. There was no second chance. I didn’t even want one.”
Jack Valentini has been in mourning for the past three years. Losing his wife hasn’t been easy for him and trying to manage the most simplest thing has been a struggle. They say time heals all wounds but for Jack, time is the enemy. Minutes are painful reminders that she’s no longer there and hours are a constant reminder that with every tick of the clock, the life that he had before is now gone.
Having a family farm with his brothers is the only that’s keeping him busy so when they call in help for their marketing brand, to say he’s not a happy camper is putting it mildly. Enter one spoiled city girl and you get a pissed off farmer.
I have to say that I wasn’t expecting to love this one as much as I did but Jack and Margot won me over with their banter and their intensity. I FELT what they were feeling and that is something I crave when I’m reading a story and I’m so glad I got to experience that.
Jack certainly tested my patience and there were times my stabby meter went through the roof with this guy, but he made up for it with his sincerity and his love for everyone around him. Margo and Jack’s journey to happiness certainly came with a lot of hurdles but with that, their passion for each never wavered and I admired and envied their intensity.

That’s what this story was for Will and Maddy and their journey was filled with heartache and ambition but through it all, they found their way to each other and their love only made them stronger.
“I wonder if exceptional comes along twice in a lifetime?
Will has been through a rough couple of years. Losing his entire family in a horrific tragedy, he’s now at a point in his life where he’s ready to get back to his first love which is swimming competitively. Going back to his childhood coach and knowing that the ghosts of his past isn’t far behind, Will is more than determined to come out on top and get a little bit of closure from the one girl who stole his heart from the moment they met.
It’s been four years since Maddy lost her boyfriend and even though they say time heals all wounds, having someone who reminds her of him isn’t going to be so easy. Having come from a professional swimming background, being in the water is second nature to her so when she learns her Dad is going to be training her long time childhood friend who also happens to be the brother of someone she loved completely, is not only complicated but messy.
Can they both survive each other or will their longtime passion finally ignite their spark?
I have to say that I absolutely LOVED the connection between Will and Maddy. Their relationship bordered on a forbidden current that had me holding my breath with what was going to happen. They each had their own personal struggles and I liked how the author portrayed that and made them more appealing to each other. I did have some issues with how some things were said and the repetitive smirking with each other but aside from that, I really liked this story.
If you’re in the mood for a sweet romance with a side of angst, then this book is for you.
Gabriel Scott and Sophie Darling were not your ordinary couple. Their banter was foreplay, the attraction that they had for one another was palpable, and when these two got together? It was freakin HAWT. But make no mistake, Gabriel was not the easiest person to be around and managing one of the biggest rock bands in the world came with a lot of responsibility and a reputation for him being known as a hard ass. But little does he know that one plane ride to London with a girl who has a tendency to talk ALL the time will forever change his view on life.
“We’re both experts at hiding our true selves behind a public mask. I make jokes and smile. He plays the robot..
Sophie Darling is a pretty laid back girl. She likes to have fun and with a vibrant personality like hers, you can’t help but fall in love with her immediately. Taking a trip half way around the world for a job interview would be nerve wrecking for anyone but for someone like Sophie, she’s taking it all in stride for now. That is until a grumpy hot arrogant passenger claims that she’s in his seat. What do you do in a situation like that? You give him a conversation he will never forget.
Gabriel Scott has done a lot in his life the past several years. Traveling all over the world and managing a rock band, there’s nothing that can surprise him. That is until he steps in first class and the very talkative blonde that’s in his seat, decides not to have a filter and says the first thing that leaves him speechless. With seven hours in a confined space with someone who talks like it’s a sport, Gabriel is having thoughts of using the emergency exit.
“I’m stuck next to the one afflicted with an apparently incurable case of verbal diarrhea. " "Says the man who is socially constipated.”
What started off as an annoyance on his part, soon turns into a respectful understanding of each other and over the next few week’s, Gabriel and Sophie’s friendship grew into something that neither of them were expecting. They cared for each other, and despite Gabrielle hesitancy to let her into his life, Sophie made a mark on his colorless world. I loved how they interacted with each other and the band members made the storyline more important and fun. Even though this is a series, it can be read as a standalone so if you’re looking for a hot funny read, this one is for you.
Well this one hot as hell read!! I went into this story completely blind and I'm so glad I did because the events that took place had me cranking up my AC even though it's almost winter. This is the story of one woman's jouney of finding her own fairy tale and whether it's it's convential or not, it's HER fairytale. We're just along for the ride.
"From the moment I met Ash, I knew I was destined to love him. I knew I was destined to be his".
Greer has met the love of her life at Sixteen. Having been around the political circle since the day she was born, it's become a natural thing for her to interact with all the big political figures. When she meets the former military Lieutenant and war hero Maxen Ashley Cochester, she's immediately drawn to him.
One Kiss and ten years later, Maxen a.k.a Ash is now the President of the United States. One thing he's never forgotten about is Greer and how those few minutes he spent with her changed him completely. Determined to get her back into his world, Ash is prepared to do anything to keep her and as the leader of the free world, he's about to pull out all of the stops.
"You belong to yourself and you belong to me, and I don't fucking care that it seems to be a contradiction because we both know it isn't. "
I really loved the connection between the characters and you felt everything they were feeling. They were passionate, raw, loving and real and that's what I loved about this story the most. I didn't agree with certain scenes and I felt like the insta lust/love was a little too quick for me but in some way it worked for them. And what's love without a little political drama right?
I will say that this is by far the hottest book I've ever read!! The attraction, the setting, along with the sexual tension made this story different and I really liked that. If you're looking for a hot read with characters that will take you out of your comfort zone, then this one is for you.

After the cliffhanger in part 1, I was on pins and needles to find out what what was going to happen in the final chapter. Learning her true identity of her father and being forced to work with him, Julietta is in deep. Her main concern now is protecting her baby and the rest of her family. But when Rafael comes back into her life, safety will not be her only concern.

Being forced to bring down the head of the Mafia and risking her heart again isn't something that she's looking forward to doing but one thing about Julietta, is that she's very dedicated.
Rafael's life hasn't been easy for the last year. With a target on his back, Julietta dissapearing, and the death of his wife, Rafael's life has gone down hill. But when he sees Julietta for the first time again, he's determined to make things right and have her back in his bed. That's easier said than done and now the tables has turned.
This was the perfect conclusion to a crazy unconvential ride. Julietta and Rafael's journey was messy and imperfect but they were REAL. They loved each other in their own way and that was perfect for them.
Bella Jewel has never failed in making me feel the connections with her characters and I'm excited to see what she does next.
Have you ever been in awkward social situations? I’m not talking about running out of things to say when you meet someone new for the first time. I’m talking about a full on “I’ve got to get the hell out here” and who’s going to save me type of situations. Getting regular POD pics (you’ll know the meaning soon enough) to getting proposition on her first date is becoming the norm for Chloe.
But being socially awkward and being set up by her friends on dates hasn’t helped but one thing you should know about her, is that she’s a trooper. And those infamous cringe worthy moments is about to go up in flames in the form of a FBI Agent. Will handcuffs be involved?
Boyd has seen his fair share of some very questionable people in his line of work but never once has he met someone as socially awkward with a quirkiness that makes him want to be around her all the time. What starts off as a favor and lesson in getting over social anxiety, quickly becomes so much more for Boyd and Chloe. But can they survive each other?
“This girl is a mess of conflicting emotions, but good things comes to those who wait. And Chloe is a good thing. A forever kind of thing.
I’ve said it before and I’m going to say it again.. I LOVE this series! It’s like covering up with your favorite blanket and watching a movie. You feel at peace and comforted and that’s the feeling I get when I read these books. Boyd was smart, sexy, and patient which I loved. He understood Chloe’s quirks and he never tried to change anything about her and I admired that about him.
Now as for Chloe, that girl was something else. There’s no other explanation for her but I loved the fact that she was different. From her knock knock jokes to her friendships with Everly and Sophie, she was the perfect best friend and she knew Boyd was someone worth getting to know and spending time with.
If you’ve follow this series then you’re going to be freakin ecstatic because we get to see what the whole gang has been up to and if you thought Everly was a riot in “Right”, then you’re in for a treat with this girl. This series is HIGHLY recommended.
You know those feel good books? The ones that make you giddy and put you in an instant happy mood? This was that book for me. It was fun, sexy, and it left me wanting a heck of a lot more.
Being an executive assistant to the CEO of Clemens Corporations, the shy and quiet Sandra has a full work load. But she's also managed to find time to crush on her Boss's best friend and business partner Gabe.
Thinking that it's just a silly crush and he's out of her league, Sandra is about to find out that Gabe has her on his radar. What he does next wiill cement their fate forever.
Gabe Laurent doesn't have any problems getting women. Being around a shy assistant who looks at him constantly is a normal reaction for him. Exploring the desire to get her horizontal and not piss off his best friend? Is easier said than done. Will Sandra and Gabe give into temptation?
"This may never happen. I want to experience everything he has to show me.
Knowing that this was a Novella, I wasn't expecting to enjoy this one so much but I did. Sandra and Gabe's ineractions with each other was the best part of the story. They were genuine and their connection was so real you couldn't help but root for them.
If you've read the previous books then you know Jana will not dissapoint so read it!!
“You make me want to be the best version of myself I can ever be”.
With the real life Election season coming to a close, you would think that I’m all rallied out but after this book, there’s a spark that’s been put back into me. I want to vote for Matt Hamilton and the only thing I’m thinking right now is why isn’t he real?!
Charlotte Wells has always wanted to do good in the world. Growing up as a Senator’s daughter, she’s been around politics enough to know how they can impact your future. At just eleven years old, she meets the current President’s son and instantly feels a connection to him. Little does she know is that Matt is about to change the game called Politics and she’s going to have a front row seat.
Eleven years Later, Matt Hamilton is running for President and he remembers the passionate little girl who wanted nothing more than to make a difference. So what does he do? He puts her on his campaign team but one thing he needs to know is that Charlotte is no longer a little girl and forbidden romance has no place on a campaign trail.
“What we’re doing is risky, but how can it be wrong when it feels so right?.”
I have to say that what I loved the most about this one is the real feeling I got when Matt and Charlotte interacted with each other. From the campaign stops, to the speeches and those stolen moments, I wanted to be there in person and just experience it with them. They weren’t perfect at all and I wanted more from them but I honestly liked how they were when they were together.
If you’re looking for a smart sexy read, this one is most definitely for you.
Please note: This ends on a cliffhanger. “ “Commander in Chief” will be available early 2017.
To say this story put me through an emotional and frustrated ringer is a HUGE understatement. I haven't read a story in a long time where I developed such love/hate/fury for characters that made me extremely stabby. But did that stop me from reading and actually enjoying it? HELL.NO.
" What goes up must come down. And oh, how we crashed.
This is the story of finding the one person you know without a shadow of a doubt, is your soulmate and painfully realizing that time is just not on your side.
This is a story about two people who fought and sacrificed a little bit of themselves to get a piece of happiness that they found when they were together.
This is a revalation of knowing that even though you love someone with everything you have, sometimes that's not enough.
B" has always been a good girl. She's a loving daughter and her friendship with her best friend means the world to her. So when she literally runs into the first guy that's ever sparked her interest in a way that catches her off guard.. What she wasn't expecting was to form a genuine friendship with Jamie that will grow into something neither one of them ever expected it too.
"My first taste of Whiskey had been nothing. My first shot? Child's play. I'd been holding back, delicately balancing on the line, afraid of drinking too much- but this was it. I knew it. I feltevery inch of the fall from tipsy to drunk. I was completely wasted, and all I wanted was to feel this way forever.
They say addiction is in the form of many things and B and Whiskey is about to get very acquainted with each other. But what will be the price for an inevitable heartbreak?
Whiskey knew what he wanted for his future and he was determined to work hard to get it. Taking over his father's company, marrying the girl of his dreams, and filling the house with kids has always been his goal but what he wasn't expecting was the fall in love with a girl who would eventually give him his heart back, but not before doing a little damage of her own.
"Jaime had never been officially mine, but I had always been his- ever since the first taste.
I'm going to be really honest: As much as I loved this book, these characters made me wanted my own shot of whiskey!! They were frustrating, stubborn, and some of their actions made me angry causing me to to put a crap ton of money in my kid's swear jar. But then there were the moments that made me happy and excited and I saw a light at the end of this crazy, exhausted, all consuming, love tunnel that we all want. And for that, I loved and appreciated it.
If you're looking for a sweet romance, this book is NOT for you.
If you're looking for a love story that will make you swoon and laugh, this book sure as hell isn't for you.
Do you want to go on a angst filled, electronic throwing, whiskey drinking journey? Then this one is DEFINITELY for you.

After that HUGE cliffhanger in “This is War”, I think it’s safe to say that everyone was on pins and needles to find out what was going to happen in “This is Love”. Travis and Viola embarked on a forbidden romance behind her brother’s back that took them to new heights. What started out as an all out war, turned into something that they both knew was in their future.
“I know the risk of the game we’re playing. I know what we have to lose, but there’s so much more to win. Viola Fisher has always been mine, and finally being together is the endgame. “
Picking up right where “This is War” left off, Travis King is now in the hospital after being a terrible car accident with his best friend’s ex girlfriend. Now like many others, the one question that was on my mind after I dropped a couple of f bombs was “How”? How Did Travis manage to get himself involved with that woman? What really happened that night? Luckily we get all the answers to these questions and even though patience is not my virtue, I was happy with outcome.
“ No one else I’ve ever been with has made me feel the way you do. Every. I’ve always reserved that part of myself for you.”
Without going into detail, I will say that I really enjoyed all of the characters. Drew was an excellent brother and best friend, and I LOVED Courtney! These characters were funny, loving and everyone really cared about each other. Viola had a difficult decision to make in the beginning and I really liked how she handled herself when it came to Travis. These two definitely didn’t have it easy but they loved each other and when it comes to everything, that was all that mattered.
If you enjoyed the first book in the series, then you’re going to LOVE this one.
Let me start off by saying that I've read some pretty messed up books over the past few years. Some made me cringe, others left me with my mouth hanging open because of the absurdity, and the rest just had me questioning my sanity. Yes they were crazy and unconventional but if there's one thing you should know know about me, is that I LOVE crazy.
This book right here? Was FUCKING CRAZY mixed in with a crap ton of dimented!!!! I need liquor, bleach, and a therapist in that order because I've been scarred for life. As I'm writing this review, all of the lights are on in my house right now. Bedroom light, bathroom light, kitchen light, living room light, refrigerator light, you name it and it's on because there's no way in hell I'm going to sleep right now!!
There are some books that you read, you can already tell how the storyline is going to go and that element of surprise you know isn't going to be there. This was NOT that book. So you read and you enjoy the flow of the words no matter how sick and twisted they are because nothing can shock you. You're a proffesional or so you think. Then you get to the final 10 minutes of the book and you start hitting all the light switches.
College student Miranda Cross has never really been a people person. Naturally shy, the one thing she loves to do is write. When the New York times best selling crime author Ethan Mercer chooses her to be his Co author for an upcoming story, she's not only shocked but extremely excited to be working with her idol. Going on location to his isolated cabin for the writing process? Not so much. But Edwin is about to get inspired by the redhead beauty and whether its deadly or not, it's going to be one heck of a story.
Edwin Mercer likes things to be done his way. Finishing up a book by it's deadline when he knows there's more to be done, pisses him off. After his last book got some rather negative reviews, he's decided to hire a co author for his next thriller. When he meets Miranda, he's knows she's going to be the one to change his creativity whether it's good or bad. What starts off as a collaboration quickly turns into a real life crime thriller.
While reading this, there were times when I really didn't think I could finish it because it was so twisted and dark. I literally got chills as I was reading certain scenes and let me tell you, that doesn't happen to me at all. This was scary as f*ck and don't even get me started on that cabin!!
If you think you're brave enough to read this with the lights off, then grab some popcorn and enjoy this crazy twisted ride. As for me, I'm out of alcohol and my house is lit up like a Christmas tree at 12:00 am. If that doesn't scare you, I don't know what else will.
This is what I love when I pick up a book and I have no clue which way the story is going to go. One minute you're thinking, I know how this going to end and you think you're safe. That sense of security you have makes you calm because you THINK you know how everything is going to play out. But when you get to the end and read that last sentence, that calmness you felt? Is no longer there. I'll tell what replaces it though: Shock, anger, and straight up panic!!
To say that Viola Fisher and Travis King dislike each other is a serious understatement. Having gone from childhood friends to enemies over the last twelve years has been quite the journey. Deciding to spend her spring break vacation with her brother, Viola is in for one heck of a surprise when she learns she'll be stuck with the man who raises her blood pressure and makes her have bail money on stand by.
"From being head over heels for him as a young girl to loathing him as a woman, Travis King needs to remember the golden rule-never admit defeat. It was game on. >
Travis King is a certified MANWHORE. I'm not going to sugar coat it because it's true. He LOVES women and they love him so it's a win win for everyone. Getting him to remember your name the morning after, that's a different story. The only woman that's been around him long enough happens to also be the same one who wants to castrate him in his sleep but who's complaining right? Being stuck with Viola for the next two weeks couldn't possibly be so bad but Travis is about to find out that he's dead wrong.
"She's always been the forbidden fruit, the girl I'm not supposed to want. Over the course of pissing her off and pushing her away, she's grown to hate me more than I believed possible.
The sexual tension, laugh out loud moments, and a villain that had me gripping my tablet so hard because I was imagining choking dat hoe,had me reading at a fast paced speed. I loved Travis and Viola's interaction with each other and I can't even tell you how many times I was giggling at their little war games. They were hot, passionate, and despite everything they went through, they genuinely cared about each other.
Now as for the ending?Holy Crap I need part two right freakin now!!
Going into this story, I was 100% sure that I had everything figured by the first couple of chapters. Here I am I thinking, this is ☆☆☆☆3.75 Stars☆☆☆☆
Going into this story, I was 100% sure that I had everything figured by the first couple of chapters. Here I am I thinking, this is going to be a slightly emotional read with the undercurrent of something deeper lurking in the background. I had everything sorted out and I was pretty proud of myself for it but then something happened. Everything I thought I knew, just completely blew the hell up!!
I wasn't prepared, I stared at my my screen for a full solid minute, and after the shock wore off, I went back to re read the chapter. I KNEW I wasn't drinking around that time( I think) so the only explanation for me was quite simple: CALLIE HART LOST HER DAMN MIND!! And for that she owes me a strong drink. Wine isn't going to cut it with what you put me through for that turning point of events Callie.
"He was a man possessed. I was a woman lost. Together, we were two halves of something fragile and delicate, beautiful in it's complexity.
After going through a rough year, Ophelia Lang is looking for a fresh start to be able to help herself and her parents financially. Being interviewed in New York for a job opportunity that would make her life so much better, everything is finally starting to look up for the moment.
Moving to Maine for six months to care for a wealthy family's kids, Ophelia is looking forward to being able to help her parents with their struggling restaurant. But her first day on the job takes a completely wrong turn and the next chain of events has her wishing for a re start button.
"Once we let this overtake us, there won't be any turning back. Is that what you want, Ophelia?"
I'm not going into further detail about this story because you have to go into this one completely blind. The only character's name you should know right now is Ophelia and how she is as a person. I really liked her as a person and I loved how strong she was in a very difficult situation. She took everything in stride and she was very loving when it was necessary.
As for the story itself, I'm not going to say that I loved every minute of it because I didn't. I wanted more to happen in the second half of the story and towards the end felt very rushed for me causing me to not quite understand everything. But what I did love was the element of suprise and this author pulled it off FLAWLESSLY. She took this story and put it in it's own category and for that alone, I applaud her appreciated that.
