I should add these are standalones although sometimes the characters do interact across books its not essential to read the others. Fractured Love doesn't really feature any of the other characters that I can think of from The Boy Next Door or Crown Jewels.
Out of the three books in this series so far, Fractured Love is my favourite. There was something about this book of love, heartache, growing and missed chances. I do love books that take you back to the past where it all began and this book spent a considerable amount of time in the past where Landon and Evie met. I've never been a huge fan of doctor/hospital romances, all the technical stuff goes over my head. Strangely at times this book is VERY technical which shows Ella (Author) really did her homework. But it didn't spoil my reading time at all. In fact I couldn't have seen Evie and Landon go into any other professions.
Evie was a breath of fresh air both in the past and the present. At first I thought she was going to be a 'goodie' and 'innocent'. But as the book went on I found she actually had a sassy personality and was quite funny too. I loved how she kept things from us throughout the book (It really wasn't that hard to work out though) and how she owned the things she had done even though they still played on her. Landon was perfect. Yes, I loved him. The fact you had a set idea he was a bad boy, but really he wasn't. I loved how smart he was but how his personality mimicked Evie's. You could tell they were perfect together regardless of their situation.
What really worked for me with this book, compared to the others in the series was the ending. Ella does like to make things perfect in the Off-Limits romance books and give us rainbows and unicorns. But with Fractured Love it was more of a 'just' and 'right' ending. Things did work out well, lots of the 'i's were dotted so to speak and what not. But not everything was perfect. That last chapter from Landon especially the last page really hit home for me.
Over all Fractured Love gets a huge thumbs up and 4 stars. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this and could have easily finished it in one sitting if I had stayed up till 1am (Hubby isn't really impressed when I do that though). If you love a new adult romance with a beautiful young love story and some heartache along the way, then I would highly recommend this book. The whole series so far has been good, so read the others too. This was a kindle unlimited gem, so free to those who subscribe.

I do love Ella James (Author) books and some how missed this one and the rest of the series (Reviews to follow on the rest). The first book Crown Jewels was good, but I do feel The Boy Next Door was more my cup of tea.
This story follows Dash and Amelia and just like my favourite kind of story, its told in the past and the present. So we get to find out why things are the way they are now. Being an Ella James book I know there will be plenty of secrets, drama, angst and not forgetting some very hot scenes too. Ella is great at writing a story that really pulls at you and The Boy Next Door does just that.
I wasn't sure whether Amelia/Am/Ammy was my type of leading lady at first. She came across as a little reserved and I've read too many of those characters and admit they aren't my favourites. Still as the book went on I loved her sassiness. The pencil drop was hilarious and really made me have more respect for her. I felt her depth of love for Dash and Lexi when she was younger too. Dash was great too in that he had a lot of drama and it took time for me to see what it was. I loved that he was hot but also smart. I also loved that he was an artist. Usually for some reason its the women in these books that are creative.
The story has the perfect pace. I would say as much of the book is set in the past as the present. So you really do get a good feel for the characters and the journey. You are rooting for them, you feel their pain, their disappointment and also their happiness. The Boy Next Door obviously has a HEA, that goes without saying. I did think it was a little too sweet with a dash of rainbows and unicorns. But if you have read Crown Jewels you will know that's the kind of ending that Ella has in mind.
Over all this was a really good read. Plus being a Kindle Unlimited book its also a free read if you subscribe, so even better! I give this book 4 stars, it was only just a 4 star read though and in a different frame of mind I may have given it 3.5. I think that because I had the whole 'big secret' with Dash slightly wrong it surprised me. So this book did deserve that extra .5 on there. I recommend this book if you like a New adult romance with a lot of angst but a sweet hea.
Professor was my second Madison Faye book, the first was Legal and also the first one in the First Time series (Try saying that after a few drinks!).

With certain genres you know what to expect going in. Even with Legal I knew it wouldn't be a 'serious' book and was going to be a hot and heavy smut read. Professor wasn't any different. These books are all very quick 1 siting reads. They have very alpha men in them and Liam was no different in this one. I liked him but could never have dated him that's for sure!
There's plenty of hot times in this book, over the top scenarios (Or are they? Maybe people do this stuff in read life) and a sweet HEA. It was on kindle unlimited so a free read for me. I rate this one 3.5 stars, Legal was a little bit much for me with the whole Mr Whatever his name was every time they had sex and the whole 'impregnate my tight virgin....' ok you get the idea. This one wasn't as bad thankfully. I will finish the series with this one and probably will check out more of Madison's work. ...more
