It is middle grade fiction but it packs a wallop. Yes, I admit I am biased for two reasons. First of all, Pete is my stepson who was raised under my roof since he was 7 years old. Yeah, I have a fierce mama-bear love for him. The second bias is because I lost both my father and father-in-law to dementia. This story of a relationship between a man with dementia and his grandson will melt the heart of anyone who has had a loved one who suffered the same fate. This book crept into the crevices of my heart that were left by the death of two wonderful men. Great job, Pete. Can’t wait for more....more
