I have literally just finished reading this after spending the evening superglued to my sofa because I couldn't tear myself away from this book! Wow jI have literally just finished reading this after spending the evening superglued to my sofa because I couldn't tear myself away from this book! Wow just wow what a bloody brilliant story.
The story starts off where we meet Nellie who I have to say I adored. Her world seems to be falling apart when she finds out her fiance has cheated on her then she loses her job. Then things take a turn and finds herself on a trip to Muddleford in Dorset after the passing of her Aunt. Nellie is blown away by her inheritance. And has some decisions to make when Jack, her childhood crush comes back into her life. Will Nellie stay or will she go back to the Midlands is the question.
Kim is a natural at making you connect with the characters because they are so realistic. I love the good ones and hate the bad ones. I wasn't a fan of Natalie and could see right through her but then….read it yourself and find out! Oh and not forgetting Norman. You cannot help but love him.
There are plenty of surprises along the way and an OMG moment that kept me on the edge of my seat. This story has certainly taken me on a roller coaster of emotions. This story will make you smile, laugh and pull at your heart strings and take you out of this horrible world we are living in at the moment.
I love Kim’s style of writing, the words she uses and descriptions….just brilliant! Moonlight Over Muddleford Cove is an easy 5 stars.
Lock me in is the authors debut novel. Which I am sure fans of psychological thrillers will love.
I listened to this on audio and I have to admit that Lock me in is the authors debut novel. Which I am sure fans of psychological thrillers will love.
I listened to this on audio and I have to admit that the narrators voice did not cut it for me.
The story is good but I felt like an old lady was telling me her story. Kind of like in the movie Titanic. Which is a shame because this book has so much going for it. But unfortunately the audio version wasn't for me....more
Wowsers I cannot believe this is the authors debut novel. This has to be the best audio I have ever listened to. it is freaking awesome.

I am in awe with the narrator she has told this story absolutely brilliantly. Her voice suits the main character and she has a voice for all the others making them come to life.
The opening has me totally hooked. I honestly couldn’t stop listening to the book. It is addictive, engrossing, gripping, gritty. I felt like I was watching this on TV.
I am so happy that I’ve found myself a new detective I have fallen in love with! I love Bailey. She is stubborn, headstrong ,and determined. Yes I am fangirling, but my god she is the bollocks!
Going undercover in a prison what more could I ask for this is a brilliant plot

Dont worry if you haven’t read any of this series. This book can easy be read has a standalone. But it is a series to good not to miss. In this book we catch up with Rosa and the gang back in Cockleberry bay. The story starts off with Halloween and quickly moves towards the festive season.
We meet old and new characters with something going on with all of them and not forgetting plenty of LOL moments. This book is a highly entertaining, fun, light hearted read. Where the author captures what Christmas is really about……family and friends.
What more can I say other than I bloody love this series and really do hope there is going to be more.
If your looking for something quirky that will make you giggle, this is the book for you I cannot recommend it enough....more

It is absolutely bloody brilliant.
There is so much I want to say about this book but without giving anything away.
So you’ve all heard of the killer Dennis Nelsen right? Well this story goes way deeper than that. It will chill you to the bone.
DI Inspector Oscar is brilliant and very realistic. I loved the author’s style of writing and not forgetting the dark humour. It is ram packed with OMG moments, twists and turns that will have you biting your nails off and moments where I forgot to breathe. And totally put you off your food! You definitely need a strong stomach for this read. If you haven’t please don’t say that I didn’t warn you.
It is a DARK DARK read…..I loved everything about it even though I was scared to turn the pages at times!
Looking for LuLu is a very gory and twisted read that will have you hooked from start to finish. Perfect for fans of Mark Tilbury, Rob Ashman and Wes Markin.

I wish I had actually read it ages ago instead of leaving it sitting on that never ending to be read book pile I have….That's how good this book is!
With a gruesome and horrifying opening the author reminded me of why I love this series so much. I was back with DCI Matilda, a character and series which I had forgotten how much I love!
In that moment I found myself hooked until the very last page. This book is one hell of a page turner. I love the author's writing style making it a fast paced engrossing read. This is not for the faint hearted. This book is exactly how I like it….Dark and gory. With a well thought out plot.
The police procedure is brilliant. The Murder House is a highly entertaining read. Which I cannot recommend enough. I sure as hell won't be leaving it so long to read the next book in the series.

This is NOT for the faint hearted you either like dark or you don't. I always say the darker the better and this book makes some really uncomfortable reading. Which is how I like it.
Song of The psychopath will scare the shit out of you, because it did me! When we meet Tommy He has a fractured skull, broken wrist, and numerous other injuries. Recovering in hospital, Tommy has no recollection of the past. He doesn’t even recognize his own family.
I couldn't help but feel sorry for him and his frustration. Tommy starts to see a private therapist and the events of what happened to him start to appear. Filling the cracks we follow Tommy on an emotional, engrossing terrifying journey. Which will make the hairs on your neck stand up due to the subject matter of child abuse.
Songs of the psychopath is an addictive page turner. I simply couldn't put this book down. It is full of twists and turns and OMG moments that made me gasp. I cannot recommend it enough, if you like a toe curling read this is the book for you. ...more

With a very thoughtOMG Barabara is back with a bang, she has absolutely nailed it with her latest standalone. This book was certainly worth the wait. With a very thought out plot. Not only is the story full of tension, suspense you can feel the emotions of the characters. Barbara definitely hasn’t lost her touch. In fact this is her best book yet!
Drawing you in from the very first page we follow a story that is very different to what I would normally expect from the author. A story based on a TV documentary about Leila Hawkins, missing twin of Stella who went missing 25 years ago. All Stella wants is answers and closure when we follow her on an emotional gripping journey to unravel the truth.
The more I read the more I was in awe with Stella, she is very determined and I wanted to know the truth as much as she did.
I love how the story is written with alternate chapters between a documentary and the present with descriptions that make it easy to visualise. This story will have you guessing until the very end making you question all the characters in the story.
Having read all of the author’s books she is known for a good twist But WOW I wasn’t expecting that.
The Girl in the Missing Poster is an incredible psychological thriller which is sure to have you on the edge of your seat.
I cannot recommend it enough giving it all the stars.

Shane tells a gripping story of his own experience has he investigates child trafficking. A dark and uncomfortable subject matter. Which is hardly ever spoken about. For me this is a unique and rather complex audio. But it is ten times better than the listening to radio while driving to work. I will be totally honest and have to say, that I could listen to him all day!
Shane paints an emotion and intense picture, you can feel the pain and heartache has the story is told. I learnt so much from listening to this with it being true crime so much goes on in the world that we dont really know about.
This is another belter of an audio which I highly recommend. Now I can’t wait to the next one.
There I was thinking this was going to be the last book in a trilogy. Until the author signs a contract for another two books…woo hoo. I cannot begin There I was thinking this was going to be the last book in a trilogy. Until the author signs a contract for another two books…woo hoo. I cannot begin to tell you how happy I am about this.
I have read all of the authors books This series is definitely the best.
The story starts off slowly has the author draws you in to the mind of The Ice Killer which is told from first person. Building the character up.
Then alternates between the characters. An Ice Killer with a dark and twisted mind. When we learn why, has the story unfolds. The book explores mental health issues and you cannot help but sympathise with Ellen. The characterisation is brilliant and of course plenty of dark humour. The banter is brilliant.
The Ice Killer is a gripping read with each chapter leaving you wanting more. Just one more chapter I kept telling myself and before I knew it I had devoured it. The Ice Killer is a well written clever story. Which I highly recommend. Fans of SweetPea by C.J. Skuse will love this book.

I have friends who are in the special forces and this story is truly an eye opener.
The story kicks off with plenty of action and doesn’t let you go until the very last page. When we are introduced to Alex Abbott. Alex is a damaged character who you cannot help but like. We totally get to know what goes on inside Alex’s head he is a brilliant character. When we follow him on a pulse racing journey to find his son.
This is what a thriller is all about. It is full of twists and turns and OMG moments. A very exciting on the edge of your seat read….I couldn’t put it down. With some added romance. I love that this book gives the reader a mixture of everything.
All the foundations have been laid down for what is set to be the start of a brilliant new series. Now I cannot wait for the next book.

With everything that is going on in the world at the moment. I needed that pick me up and take me to another place kinda read. This is definitely that book.
We are transported to LA where we follow Nora in a delightful, feel good, laugh out loud story. Which takes you on a whirl wind of emotions. You can always rely on Kirsty to make you laugh. Nothing is ever easy for Nora with some hilarious scenes which made me laugh until I cried.
But not only that I found myself totally absorbed with the characters. Who jumped out of the pages, making me love everything about them.
Kirsty has an incredible talent for capturing the scene and making you feel right there in the story. This book would make an awesome movie staring Nicolas Cage…..OMG so bloody funny!
Not only did this story make me laugh but it also make me cry. You might need a tissue or two that’s for sure.
I read this story in one day it is truly brilliant and utterly addictive. There is nothing not to like. He will be mine is an upbeat, mesmerising read with some twists and turns along the way. I cannot recommend this book enough giving it all the stars.

I am blown away by how this series never gets dull it simply gets better and better each one I read. I honestly dont know how the author does it. When I struggle to find the words for each review. 13 books and 13 reviews….What can I say other than Angela is one very talented author.
Those of you that know me know that I am from the Black Country. The heart of where this series is set. Each place we visit I know which makes it even more exciting and easy to visualise. For anyone that doesn’t know the area, Angela’s descriptions are spot on and I love how a little bit of history is added into the mix.
Not forgetting another excellent plot that will keep you totally engrossed from start to finish. With plenty of twists and turns that are woven in with character development. Which is outstanding, I am loving how we get to know them more with each book. I bloody love Kim Stone and Stacey, if you didn’t already know.
