The subtlety and attention to details are incredible! As I read this series it feels like it's based on reality. Ferrante, still writing from Lenu's point of view, shows us what happens to those who leave nd those who stay. All I can say is brilliant book/writing and I recommend it....more

I'd describe it as a slow burn since the first 40% of the book is the foundation for what happens in the second part of the book. The Unseen World focuses on the atypical father daughter relationship between Ada and David. That is the strongest part of the novel in my opinion. The only average thing about this novel is the dialogue which comes off stiff and unnatural at times but be that as it may the story itself is engrossing and uplifting. I don't want to say too much more because I risk to give things away and that would be disappointing. The beauty in this book is discovering the story as you read along. So, all I have to say is read it. You won't be disappointed. I'm looking forward to reading her second novel called Heft. ...more

Funny this story is full of despicable characters. There isn't one that is redeemable. Despite this the story is so engrossing and I can't wait to get on to book 3.
