That said, I liked “the hard thing about hard things” mainly because before reading it I haven’t given much thought to how hard some of the decisions that the CEO has to make are and how much it might weigh on them. Of course, this seems obvious when written like that, you need to look at the situations in the book to fully understand it.
Besides that, it has some often non-obvious advice on what to do in typical critical moments derived mostly from author’s experience backed with reasonably-sounding explanations, for example, on how to organize the company in order to minimize politicking among the employees.
If I ever decide to create a startup, remind me to reread this book....more
