Very well written wanting you to know what became of dapper Christine. For a reader who was liberated by the allied forces in May 1945, this story is very relevant as he still remembers the Berlin wall. And the many refugees who became victims of the cruel Russians shooting at them and often killing them trying to flee to freedom. In the end Christine was lucky she made it. She was a courageous and strong young woman and that came through in this wonderful novel....more
