Some Thoughts:
1.) I really feel bad for Nicholas and his issues with his father. As someone who doesn’t have the best relationship with their father as well I can find it quite relatable.
2.) Also the loneliness of Nicholas and Seiji when everyone has their family around made me feel bad for both characters. Everyone deserves someone there to cheer them on in life.
3.) The ending scene between Seiji and Nicholas was just perfection. If this series ends with them being a couple I think they will become one of my favorites. But if not I really want them to be at least good friends. They compliment each other whether it’s a friendly or romantic way. ...more

This was too short for all that it set out to do. It wanted to be a short, fun read but it also wanted to be the beginnings of a series. As a short, fun read it accomplished it’s goal. But as the first book of a series wanting to leave readers wanting more? Not so much. ...more

TRIGGER WARNINGS: Rape, murder, graphic depictions of violence, cannibalism, etc. (pretty much everything)
I feel like I need to write in in-depth review for this novel. It was like nothing I had ever read before. I asked for dark romance and I got DARK ROMANCE. DO NOT READ THIS UNLESS YOU ARE FULLY PREPARED FOR IT! And as far as a star rating I’m going with a three. But I’m not even sure if a three is accurate. ...more

I really enjoyed this! I enjoyed the hate-to-love trope in this. The two guys were cute together. And the one’s bff was pretty cool as well.
CHARACTERS:
Adam: He is an arrogant douchebag in the beginning but he slowly soften up. He also sees a lot of the errors in his ways and actively goes out to fix them. I really enjoyed him as a character. While I wouldn’t say he was the most fleshed out main character ever he served as a nice MC in this smutty book.
Nate: Nate appears to be this sweet, gentle guy and while he is, he show that he won’t put up with Adam’s rudeness or bullshit. Once again not the most fleshed out character in a book but he served his purpose well as the love interest.
Valerie: Valerie, if more fleshed out than just the BFF who sprouts inspirational words of encouragement to the MC could be an awesome character. But as it stands she’s a good character.
But with the characters I don’t expect them to be the most fleshed out in depth characters. This is a smutty book and they all served their purpose. And I feel they did it well.
And lastly... the sex. The sex was good. There was even some hate sex. And who doesn’t enjoy a good hate sex in a hate-to-love trope book. I also felt the author did well mixing in character development, plot, and sex without one overpowering the other. And once again since it’s a smut filled book I didn’t expect the plot to be the most amazing plot ever or the most amazing character development ever. But I felt there is enough to make this book satisfying.
