There was a pervasive loneliness in this novel, made all the more stark by the first person POV that is maintained throughout. If someone is looking for a thriller to curl up with on a cold rainy day- you will be thrilled. He keeps us guessing to the very end and I can honestly say I was surprised by the twist at the end - and that does not happen often for me. You've done it again Mr. Koontz!

I love the idea of treating our clothes as if they had 'feelings' and wanted a special place to 'rest' - I have noticed when I do that little 'thank you for keeping me warm today' thing when I put a sweater back in the drawer I tend to (feel silly, yes) but also take better care of it. It's strange. This is one of those books where you won't apply every single principle to your life, (I will always have more than 30 books) but the one or two things you do take away becomes a part of your daily life. I think that's amazing. It's a NYT best seller for a reason.
