What distinguishes his writing from other authors is his perspective and originality. It’s not a mundane & disengaging history of humans pivoted around ‘event’ in some chronological order rather its a story about how we have evolved, how we think & view the world and elements creating our society. Its a story from the time Homo sapiens were the foragers till the point Humans would be using bioengineering and cyborgs to transform themselves into self-made Gods.
Yuval has covered myriad of subjects like money & economics, religion, political order, imagines reality like nation, corporations, scientific discoveries, , industrial revolution, imperialism, happiness, meaning of life to list few in most concise, and meaningful manner. In the end author beautifully sketches out the idea of happiness & meaning with what we can learn from ‘history’

'The way I think is in my control' the belief I embellished throughout my life is shattered after reading this book. The author with real life examples beautifully explains how and when we think 'fast' and 'slow'.
Though somewhere personally i found some ideas to be stretched out and sometimes it becomes less intriguing but the book has enough thrust to keep you going :)
