“They would weather this as they had done everything else… Together.”
I cannot believe this is the end to a wonderfully written story! K.A. Linde has completely outdone herself with her new paranormal romance trilogy and it didn’t disappoint at all. As mentioned before Blood Cure is the final installment in the Blood Type Trilogy. It follows the journey of Reyna Carpenter (a human) and Beckham Anderson (a vampire) as they go through all sort of obstacles to be together.
Without spoiling too much, lets go back to the beginning. In Blood Type we were introduced to a modern world where vampires co-exist with humans and Visage (a vamp corporation) is ready to create blood matches based on blood types that would benefit the vampire and the human. After discovering that Reyna has been matched with non other than the VP of Visage things start to get complicated. Then in Blood Match we discover that Reyna’s blood is a lot more precious than everything thinks and she gets targeted by the leader of Visage and hunted for it. That is until she finds out about Elle, a rebellion group that wants to end Visage once and for all. But their plan may not have ended the way they planned and she finds herself at risk in the end.
After the shocking cliffhanger in the second book, Blood Cure starts right where we left off and we are back to the last scene. Reyna sees what happens with Beckham and it devastates her. She doesn’t know what do without him and that’s when she starts to realize that their cause is bigger than her and she has to fight back no matter what. We get to see Reyna grow stronger and she starts to trust in herself enough to become a good leader. There are all sort of twists and turns that you will not see coming and that’s what made the story a true success. The romance was hotter than ever and totally swoon worthy! I liked the fact that we were introduced to new characters and got to see what happened to the previous characters as well. Beckham’s character developed as well and we get to see the man behind the vampire and get to see how emotional he can be. I really liked seeing him more relaxed around Reyna and with a cute sense of humor. The ending had me at the edge of my seat and it was everything and more. I was not expecting it and for that I would highly recommend reading the entire trilogy. You will not regret it!

Blood Match is the second book in the Blood Type Trilogy and it follows the story of Reyna and Beckham as they go through ups and downs to be together. Ever since the first book ended on a cliffhanger, I couldn’t wait to read Blood Match and it did not disappoint at all.
A quick recap on what happened in the first book, we were introduced to Reyna Carpenter who lives in a time where vampires co-exist with humans and she is going through financial struggles. Without a degree she has no choice but to work for Visage Incorporated, an organization whose motives were to help humanity by creating the blood type cure. Vampires who drank blood from a human who matched their blood type became less animalistic. So they matched humans with vampires and they were paid to give blood. Reyna was matched with Beckham Anderson, a very powerful vampire and their adventure took off as they slowly started to fall in love.
Blood Match picks up right where the first book left off, Reyna has been away from Beckham ever since she got kidnapped and taken to Visage. We get to find shocking news at the end of the first book that become essential in the second book as Reyna tries to free herself from William Harrington (CEO of Visage Incorporated). She has been used as a blood bag due to her blood type and as days go by she doesn’t know if she’ll be strong enough to survive all the trauma that she has been through. It is the memories that she has with Beck that keep her sane, but when she get help from unlikely sources she has to make a choice that could put her life at risk again.
I absolutely loved reading this book, I think it was even better than the first book and it keeps getting better! In this book we really get to see Reyna figure out what she wants and after going through all sorts of obstacles she truly shows how strong she is until the very end. There are a lot more character interactions in this book as we get to meet new characters and learn more about their lives. Reyna finds some shocking news about Visage and this is what drives her to wanting to end it once and for all. The end of the book also has a cliffhanger and it’s shocking! I wasn’t expecting that ending at all and I cannot wait to read Blood Cure. I would highly recommend checking out the trilogy, you will not regret it. :)

Having read Linde’s more contemporary romance books before, I didn’t know what to expect of Blood Type, but I was impressed with with the overall story. Being the first book in the Blood Type series, we are introduced to the main characters Reyna Carpenter and Beckham Anderson as they go through a series of events to be together.
Now this was a very interesting read, the setting itself was different from any other book that I’ve read in the past and for that I applaud the author for taking the setting outside the box. This book is set in a dystopian world where vampires co-exist with humans, yet they are ones who hold the ultimate power.
At the beginning of the book we get to meet twenty-one-year old Reyna Carpenter, as she makes her way to the hospital facility of Visage Incorporated. The company is the largest in the world and it specializes in what they call body employment services (who Reyna calls blood escorts). These individuals who are in need of money will in some cases visit Visage to become blood donors for vampires.
In this world there are various districts where the economy is really bad and technology is not advanced. Reyna happens to live in The Warehouse District where any technology from cellphones to cars weren’t available to most people. It is for this case that Reyna has taken upon herself to provide for her brothers any way she can and that’s how she decides to become a blood escort. But she is offered to be in a new program, one where she will be staying with the sponsor permanently and that’s when the story truly takes off. Her sponsor is non other than Beckham Anderson, Senior Vice President of Visage Incorporated and as the two start to get to know each other the more she starts to like him. Yet, there are matters that could get complicated and a new law is about to threaten any kind of future they might to have with each other.
As VP of Visage Incorporated, Beckham Anderson enjoys its advantages and he is more than willing to take on a blood escort. But never expected to meet Reyna and like her. She is not just any blood donor to him, and he soon starts to do little things to make her happy while she is living in his penthouse. Though their sexual chemistry is there, he refuses to give up control and will not feed off her either. As they spend more time together, there more he wants to be with her but there is a new law that could end up pulling them apart.
I wish the story didn’t end with a cliffhanger, but it does and from the ending it looks like the second book is going to be great as well. The characters are total opposites who somehow work together really well. Reyna is determined to get any job in order to provide for her family even if it means risking her life/freedom. On the other hand, Beckham is more mysterious and keeps to himself a lot. There are little things that he does for Reyna that charmed her and she felt comfortable around him pretty quickly. We do get to find out why they’re the way they are as we get to learn more about their pasts. The ending had me freaking out, I really want to read the next book already! What I didn’t like as much was how easily Beck kept playing with Reyna’s feelings and how many chances she gave him. It was frustrating at times, but it somehow worked at the end of the book. If there is one thing that I thought of when I finished reading the book was of the movie, Daybreakers, it has a similar plot line minus all the romance. I really enjoyed reading something different from K.A. Linde, it was a good start to the series which I highly recommend checking out! :D

The Alpha's Temporary Mate was such a funny and romantic book to read. Davies uses the same concept of what one would typically find in a contemporary book, but twists it by using supernatural beings. I found it to be refreshing and enjoyable to read.
Fated Match is dedicated to match supernatural beings together no matter what they are, and one of these people in charge of that is Chloe Donovan, a witch who takes pride of the work that she does to find the perfect match of her clients. So when one of her newest clients, Kieran Clearwater, walks to her office and demands her to find him a fake girlfriend, Chloe immediately refuses. But being the wealthy alpha that he is, Kieran is willing to compensate her and the company for the favor. With nothing to lose, Chloe accepts his offer, but that soon proves to be a difficult task when he refuses her options for what he wants. Instead he is immediately drawn to her and the way she is towards him that he asks her to be his fake girlfriend instead. As the mating moon approaches, Kieran introduces Chloe to his pack members and that is when things start to change in the story. Both Kieran and Chloe begin to get to know each other and their pasts that takes their chemistry to the next level.
It is evident that Kieran doesn't do relationships, but the way Chloe reacts towards him makes him notice her more. No one has ever stood up to him, and when she does everything starts to change for him. The man in him questions his new feelings for her, but his wolf is ready to claim her as his, and that is what soon begins to scare him. But the minute his past shows up, he has to make a choice of whether moving on is the right thing for him and Chloe or if his duty as the alpha is greater than his growing love for her.
As I mentioned before the idea is not new, but it does makes it refreshing to read in a somewhat different perspective. Chloe is definitely a strong character in the book, she has fought to be where she is that she is not one to give up easily. Her job and the people that she works with are her only family, yet she longs to belong to someone, to have her own mate. When she starts working for Kieran, he is the one that opens her eyes to the idea, but soon their attraction starts to turn into something more, which makes things difficult for her. Whereas for Kieran, his pasts has haunted him for a very long time, and when he meets Chloe he finally sees what he has been looking for all along. Although the characters have flaws, they do grow somewhat throughout the book. We don't get a drastic change, and I really don't think it needed it. Though I have to say that there were scenes that could have been executed a lot better. For one, the ending sweet and to the point, but I really think that the book needed something else to tie everything together (an epilogue...). Overall, the story worked for me and if you are looking for a supernatural story with a twist then I would highly recommend giving this book a try. :)

Don't Bite the Bridesmaid is a fun and cute read...
I absolutely love this book, it's definitely different from any other vampire books that I've read so far. Tiffany Allee does a very good job describing the characters and the setting. It all evolves around Alice Shepard, whose sister is getting married and needs a date to accompany her for a week on a cruise ship with her family. But what she doesn't know is that her mysterious/hot neighbor is a vampire and needs a quick getaway. Noah Thorpe was immediately enchanted by his neighbor, Alice, and her proposition couldn't have come at a better time. He needs to leave before the others find him and force him to marry someone that he doesn't like or love.
A week at a cruise full of humans wasn't his best pick, but Alice didn't give him a choice and that's how the two of them embarked into an adventure, full of fun and secrets. As the two of them start to get closer, it also get harder for Noah to keep his identity a secret if Alice keeps tempting him. The story line started great from the very beginning, I loved how the two of them interacted with each other. Alice is shy, but she knows how to hold herself when surrounded by things that she doesn't like. On the other hand, Noah is the gorgeous vampire that has been through a lot of events in his life that have made him reserved and serious. Putting these two different characters together made the whole story a lot more enjoyable to read. Overall, the story flowed beautifully and the ending was great. There were a few parts that felt too rushed for me, but the ending made everything better. I would have liked to see an epilogue the story though. I would recommend anyone to try this book, it's fun and romantic. ...more

This was definitely a refreshing idea to the typical vampire novels out there. I was captivated by the whole story and thought it was pretty good. Bound by Night starts of with the idea of humans owning vampire as slaves. The Martins are a powerful family whose power ends up killing a lot of vampires, and owning others as slaves. Vampire families get separated and this results to rebellions between the vampires and humans. Nicole Martin is only eight years old when her family is killed by these rebellions and this turns out in sending her away to Paris while she gets ready to become the next CEO of her family's company. Years pass and she comes back only to discover that her family's company has been doing a lot of secretive experiments to vampires that were illegal. She thinks she has the support of her brother, but that changes when the vampire that she is supposed to hate kidnaps her and her brother doesn't do anything to get her back. Nicole realizes just how much her family really cares for her, but discovering that what she thought to believe is not true will then notice how much she is willing to give up to be with those that truly care for her.
On the other hand, Riker is constantly reminded of his past. When he recognizes Nicole, he is full of anger and wants to do to the right thing, avenge his mate's death. But due to a series of events, and the more time they spend together will they realize just how the two need each other in order to save those they love in order to be together in the end. Apart from being an amazing story, Bound by Night is full of emotions, and mystery that will keep you wanting for more. There were a few things that I would have liked to see, but overall the story was great. The plot was very well-written that made the story that much more enjoyable. I admire Nicole's personality and courage, she is willing to make amends for what her family did to the vampires. While Riker seems like a tormented soul, he is caring and wants to save those that he loves no matter the cost. Both characters were great and I'm really looking forward to the next book in the series. I'm sure it's going to be awesome. :) ...more
I was really eager to read this book from the very first time that I read the synopsis. It sounded like a book that I would typically read. The very beginning immediately caught my attention, the way the author started the book was interesting and it left me wondering more of the characters. Needless to say, I felt that the very first chapters were a bit too rushed for my liking. The story starts with Nora, a college student going to a masquerade ball with her friend/roommate Scarlet. The atmosphere of the party is Gothic-like and it helps cover Alec's true identity. They meet and their attraction is so instantaneously that they can't keep their hands off each other. As she leads him to one of the rooms, they suddenly encounter Caleb, Alec's handsome brother. Alec claims to want Nora, yet his mood changes and tells her that he doesn't want to corrupt someone as pure as her. Nora is then distracted by someone yelling coming out of the house claiming that a “monster” had bitten her. When she turns to see Alec, he had already disappeared.
The story itself was interesting, it's full of twists and turns that made it enjoyable to read. I did find Nora a bit irritating sometimes. As a character/heroine she doesn't know what to do without hurting the two brothers. Alec's personality was the sweetest and the one that attracted me towards his character even more. On the other hand, Caleb is the wild and charming. He definitely knows how to have fun. The chemistry between the two brothers is practically nonexistent. They don't like each other because of the curse that they have. Nora is attracted to both of them, but she has to find the balance to save/keep them both. I was surprised to see how everything unfolded at the end. The author mixes vampire and stories/myths of the bible. It was definitely not something that I was expecting to read from the synopsis of the story. Was I disappointed? Not really. The author found a way to incorporate all of those details into a good story, but I did find that it wasn't as well-written. I felt that it needed something more to make it perfect. The end ties everything together, and I'm wondering if she is going to write another book. I would recommend everyone to give it a try, it's definitely not your typical love story, but it's definitely a book worth exploring more. ...more

Sleeping with the Entity is a sweet and quick romance between Daniella, a cupcake baker, and Nick St. George, a vampire. What I liked about this story is that it has humor in it, and it is very well-written. As a fast paced story, I thought that their romance wasn't fully developed. From the very beginning Nick is compelled by Daniella mainly because she is the only one that he can't control. Apart from their un-denying attracting towards each other, Nick nor Daniella have the slight intention of getting involved. Daniella's only goal is to get her new bakery open and to reconnect with her family. But as their sexual tension increases, so does the danger in their town. A group of vampires has heard about what Nick hasn't been able to do with Daniella, and they will not stop until they get her away from him. One of the things that I really liked about this book is that it has a lot of movie/book/music references that helps the novel create a more fresh take to the vampire world. I do think that it was rushed towards the end. I expected to see more and it was cut out short for me, but overall the story is a fun and quick read. I enjoyed Daniella's and Nick's chemistry, it was humorous and romantic. I do hope the author decides to write more of their story, it would really help bring everything together. ...more

I actually loved the description of the book and the cover! That's what told me to get the book. I thought the idea was really good and original. I mean, who hasn't fallen in love with a book character before? But the way that the author started the book and the way she connected the plot was very well executed. The story mainly focuses on Amy, an average high school with a passion for book, specially the books of Elizabeth Howard. She loves the book just as much as her two friends, but what she wasn't expecting to find on her way home was her favorite character come to live. From then on, her adventure starts by helping her favorite character, Alexander, capture the Elizabeth Howard's ultimate villain, Vigo. Although the book's idea was unique, there were times when I felt disconnected with the characters, towards the end it felt rushed, but it all worked out the end. I absolutely loved the ending, it was by far my favorite part of the whole book. It's definitely a book that everyone should try to read, it's not too long, and it's full of mystery and cute moments. I love how it's not overwhelmed with the whole vampire theme, it's certainly a book that a lot of readers can relate to (at least for girls out there, that have fallen in love with their favorite characters). :) ...more

I absolutely loved this book. I haven't read a vampire romance book in a while, so this was definitely refreshing to read. I love how Bella Forrest is able to come up with a whole new different concept to your typical vampire romance story.
From the very beginning I was captivated by the whole aspect of the story, it starts of with Sophia, a seventeen year old girl that longs to have her best friend, Ben, see her as more than a friend. She has struggled by seeing him with other girls and doesn't know what to do anymore. One night she decides to a stroll by the beach, when suddenly a handsome stranger appears and kidnaps her. When she wakes up she is scared to find herself chained and helpless. Everything is going wrong with her and things start to get a lot worse when the stranger that kidnaps her is non other than a vampire, that has taken a liking in her and her blood.
When she is selected to be part of Derek's personal slaves, she is shocked to discover that he is a legendary vampire prince that is respected among his kind. Confused and desperate to find a way to escape, Sophia embarks in a new adventure where she'll have to learn how to survive and most of all learn how to not fall in love with the very prince that can't let her go. In this new world, Bella Forrest, describes how Sophia is trapped between a vampire that wants to have her for her blood to one that desperately wants her to love him back.
I really enjoyed the flow of the story, it has a great plot that is impossible to let go of the book, because you just want to know what happens next. It is very well-written and it all ties together in the end. I would have liked to see more scenes between Derek and Sophia though, but overall it was a great story. I'm really looking forward to reading the rest of the series. I recommend everyone to give it a try, you will not regret it. ...more

I absolutely loved this book, Beth (the author) was able to captured Jessica's weaknesses in order for her to become a better princess. As a new Romanian princess, Jessica is faced with major obstacles as she starts to learn what it really takes to become a queen and ruler of a major clan of vampires. What I enjoyed reading in this book is how close Jessica and her Romanian prince Lucius are. In the first book (Jessica's Guide to Dating the Dark Side) we see how important Jessica is to the vampires for them to stop a war against two powerful families. In this book, Jessica is newly married and soon finds herself alone to deal with the elders in order for her to save Lucius from an injustice. I really enjoyed reading more in depth about Mindy (Jessica's best friend), and about what happened to her and Lucius's cousin Raniero at Jessica's wedding. The writing in this book is what also interest me, because there are chapters of the book that are written in letter form (more like emails), it makes the story more interesting apart from just reading about Jessica. Overall, the story was great, as readers we are able to see how Jessica grows/matures over the course of the story. She become strong and independent as she faces challenges of her own. The ending was all right, I wished there was more of Jessica and Lucius, it stops really soon. But I loved it and I'm sure those that have read the first book, would really enjoy reading the sequel/ending to Jessica's story. :) ...more

I was excited for this book, since it is the last one of the series :) I really wanted to know what was going to happen to Raven and Alexander, and whether or not she was going to become a vampire at the end. After reading the first few chapters, I was hooked! I couldn't put it down, it was great meeting Stormy (Athena), (Alexander's younger sister) She is so adorable! Without giving away anything, I thought the book was great. There was a bit of drama, but for the most part Raven got to see what her life would be like as a vampire by watching Stormy. She was also able to see how big of a decision Alexander needed to make for the both of them. Not only would "her change" affect her family, but her entire life. I was shocked towards the end, something happens that I didn't see coming at all. But overall, the ending was sweet and amazing! Although I think an epilogue would have made it better.
