What I enjoyed most about this book is Scout and his energy of love, support, and respect. He was a gem in his pursuit of Daisy and finding his happy place and home. He needed the road bumps for his truths and purpose in life to come full circle.
Daisy, she needed the opportunity to see the words said to her by her mother was one person's POV.

He found a bold, strong, caring, intelligent woman. One who came from not only royalty but a family full of fun-loving, protective, laid back individuals. Their always strapped and have super classified backgrounds.

Revisiting the crew and having John and Shannon being the two to bring life and love to a lost Logan was an epic concept. John is known for his devil may care attitude but the emotion and guidance he displayed in Embattled Return was growth and needed.
Now on to what made my heart happy, Marigold and her support of Logan. She fits in the clan of women who look to the heart of the man not what is on the surface. I just loved her words, actions, and realness. She wore her heart on her sleeve and Logan didn't have a chance in hell to escape the hold she had on his heart. He may have headed to Denver with a plan and expected to commitment but a woman who is real and genuine will change that in a matter of days....more

Let's just say mental health is a scary thing and this book displayed it in three different ways. One that will pull on your hurt, one that will allow you to feel empathy, and one that will make you see red. Embrace the book because regardless neither way is The Ideal way of life....more

Joe said the best truth that is was when he finally called her out.
Adriana wrote a very hard storyline but it was written to perfection. The comic relief of the Mason Brothers were placed when the reader needed that breath of fresh air. Don't get me wrong now, they also delivered Coy some truthisms that hit him in the gut. Those "ah ha" moments as I like to call them.

Determined and driven by the love and want of his son, he took my heart and drug it across the US with him.
I was invested from the opening chapters with him and Hope. Two halves to a whole. Hearts so pure and genuine you couldn't root for them. She helped calm the rage of the betrayal he felt from everyone involved in that fateful day. Add in the ex-wife and boy did he need all the hope and faith in the world.
This book just pulled on you heart from beginning to end. You wanted love and justice to win for everyone, even little Jesse.
