If you decide to waste your time commenting me because Forman is your God and this series is you bible, fine, I'll share it with my friends and get a good laugh.) I got through the first book okay although I found it somewhat boring. (If I Stay) At first I though it was the subjects talked so much about, the cello, music school, etc. Now I think it's the romance factor. Romance isn't my thing so that helped me decide the book isn't for me. The reason I feel bad rating it one star is because it's not a bad book. It's written well, the characters will interest a lot of readers, the story has everything it needs, it's properly edited, etc. But I got bored fast with this one. The beginning had me interested up until about when Adam left Carnegie Hall. My attention left with him so I'm posting this to PBS. My time is too valuable to waste it on a book I don't like. I do have to urge anyone reading this to not put too much into my review. It's not a bad book, it's just not for me. ...more

I have to agree with a friend who said she feels cheated. It's just so, so short. Gardner's a fantastic author and I love this series. I'm going to start Catch Meneed this. This is one of the very small series that I hope goes on for a long time. Catch Me is the 6th full book with this as a companion book. I forget what I paid for it. If its 99cents I'd say it's "worth" it. Anymore than that I'd have to admit you're not missing a thing by not reading this.

Warren Story, available on Kindle. (Not sure if it's in print, if it is I haven't been told.) The story definitely isn't needed for the series, not at this point anyway, but as it was released before Catch Me I read it first. I think it was about a buck, maybe two. It's short but if you like Gardner enough it's worth it. I do wish it had been longer. As for this, it's just about perfect. I thought I knew where she was headed several times and I was wrong several times. (I also love how Gardner uses real peoples names in the story - that was a great idea on her part.) I don't find myself getting confused, having to try to keep track of this or that one, etc. Johnson does tell a bit of background but take my advice - don't read these out of order. You'd be able too, probably, but you'll be much happier going the way they're written. I didn't care too much for the no end ending - I hate when a book leaves off in such a manner - but I have to admit that now I'm looking forward to the next one. The man can definitely write his ass off. I think the only books I've read so far are the three in this series but I'll most definitely be reading others in the coming years. ...more
Brown has to be the top female urban fiction author IMO. Brown's books aren't the "usual" urban fiction. Styles in return. You get an actual author who can write. One who obviously thought beforehand, made decisions about what would be best here and there and moved on it. I've known people who thought they wouldn't ever like urban fiction. They've come to this conclusion because most of the genre is like Styles and a host of others names I can't remember at the moment. When I meet someone like that I tell them to read Brown, Dwayne S. Joseph or one of the select other few who continuously push out winners. They never release crap. If the genre were all like this it'd be HUGE. I don't care if you're black, white 20 or 90, male or female, Brown's books are good and that's the end of it. Even if I didn't care for her stories I could never say she's a poor writer. She's anything but. This was an awesome sequel to Snapped and I can't wait to read more. (Actually, I can wait. It makes it better and I know she's taking the time to put out quality material.) Unlike the 7 book series from no name "authors" that haven't even been edited. Brown will always be a favorite of mine and if that hadn't already been cemented Aftermath would have seen to it....more
