I quickly finished that and hunted down this book. The author, Brooke Page, drew me in from the beginning. I related to Becca and felt for her as she struggled with not feeling enough for anyone and accepted her doormat status in order to keep everyone happy although at times I felt she was too blinded by this and could have instead shown some understanding and empathy towards what Tyler was also facing. I enjoyed seeing the relationship between the two grow and the parallel growth of their individual personalities. This is a very cute, warming love story of a witch, Bertha, who falls in love with the father of 2 girls she considers closer than family. Together they must overcome Bertha's belief she isn't good enough to be the wife of a king and the wily, evil attempts of the girls aunt to claim the king for her own gain.

Well written in a way that was easy and quick to read but still allowed for the growth and full development of Lucy and John I found my emotions on a rollercoaster in line with the main characters. Once again Bradford produces a well written novel that holds the readers interest as we watch the characters grow and change. I wasn't sure if enjoy this book at first as the storyline seemed to follow a predictable well used theme however I quickly found that wasn't at all the case. The novel deals with bullying, homophobia, and romance in a way that is inciteful and often unexpected and provides as the main characters struggle with these issues and high school in a magic school.
