I'm only on chapter 18, but your review hits the nail on the head so far. If it weren't the third of three, I would so quit this book. I keep reading these five star reviews and wondered if I was reading the same book. Ugh.
Yes! It felt rushed and totally not like the 1st and 2nd. And so many unanswered questions. That whole Gallowglass triangle was not necessary, and what, she's the most powerful witch of all, but can't fin Ben with some spell? please. Idk, I was so looking forward to this, and now I feel a bit underwhelmed
I am on the first book, trying to decide if I want to invest in this series. You just answered my question, thanks. I can't bear for characters I love to just die in the end. That is why I like fiction better than real life.
I agree the random switch to third person was frustraiting and it was a let down in the end. I felt like more about the daemons should have been explored. Heck, more insight into the future of the offspring might have been good. The ending felt very weak.
