Dolors Isn't it great to encounter an author that possesses the virtue of making the reader laugh in the face of the absurdity of mankind's existence? You portrayed Vonnegut's thought-provoking sharpness of mind and satirical undertone brilliantly Himanshu and those cited passages are calling out my name!
What a treat to read you again, my friend, your reviews had been greatly missed of late! :)

You are a gem, Dolors! It's I who have greatly been missing your comments. As for Vonnegut, he is one cunning bastard that way. This was my second book and it has really made me a huge fan of his acerbic oeuvre. I sincerely hope you read him soon and have a taste yourself. Can't wait to see your reaction. :)

Garima Wondrous review, Himanshu. You brought forth the poignantly fun aspect of Vonnegut's writing in such a brilliant way and yes, it's great to read your words after a long time.

Thanks a lot, Garima! I noticed that you've had a Vonnegut experience once, so you do know the genius of this guy. I could only try to put my experience here. And, it's really great to be writing a review again. :)

Cheryl Beautiful review, Himanshu. How great it is, when a book puts you in a coma. I love your capture of the story, because I could see the humor in the narrative arc alone, so I can only imagine what the 'voice' did to showcase satire as well.

Thanks for reading, Steve! I'm delighted that my review could do that. :)

Fionnuala I enjoyed your account of reading this book, Himanshu, especially the description of it as a coma of satire and black humour!

Glad to hear the author manages to ridicule this notion, especially the first part: our biggest and pat-on-the-back worthy achievements so far have been a:Religion and b:Science

Renato Magalhães Rocha Great review, Himanshu. I see I'm missing out a lot on having not read anything by Vonnegut yet! Thank you for bringing this one to my attention!

Cecily If you want laughter from Vonnegut, have a look at Galápagos as well.

Coincidentally I was planning to pick up Mother Night today. I'm quite fond of Vonnegut, so yes, Galápagos will be the very next.

Steve I think this may be the best review of Cat's Cradle on all of Goodreads! It was so long ago that I read the book that your summary was a great crutch for my memory. I liked your insights into the point of it all, too. Well done!

I'm glad that my review could bring back the memories of your reading the book, Steve. And thanks for appreciating the effort. I had a great time writing this one, Vonnegut is my favorite kind of humor.

Hear, hear, Steve! Fantastic review, Himanshu! Have just finished reading CC for the first time, and your review has helped me to make so much more sense out of a cloud of impressions, questions and feelings that bubbled up for me. Will definitely revisit your review before I re-read CC, to make the most out of my second reading. Thanks!!!

Apology for this late reply, Gisela. I missed the comment somehow. But many thanks for reading my reflections of this amazing book. I'll look forward to your comment after that re-read. Cheers!
