Lisa Oh what a shame...oh well soooo many great books to read instead!

message 2: by Jen (new)

Jen Maybe I'll go back to it someday if my tastes should change! But, yes - too many great books to be read that I want to fill my time with!

message 3: by Connie (new)

Connie What a witty review.....love it!

Florence (Lefty) MacIntosh Sounds awful...thanks Jen:)

Ina I feel exactly the same as you, I've tried twice to finish this, I just can't get into it. Life is too short, and there's so many good books to read.

message 6: by Jen (new)

Jen Here here Ina! Cheers to that

message 7: by Gar (new)

Gar I read the first few pages and couldn't get into it at all

Angela M I see that you have an abandoned shelf too . I bought this and after reading a discussion in one of my other groups, I'm not going to read it . Fortunately, I got it on a kindle daily deal and paid $2.99 and not full price .

message 9: by Jen (new)

Jen Fortunately I never bought this one. Was very happy to return it to the library in its brand new state.

Carol She's So Novel꧁꧂ "It should be buried and not with me." hahahaha!

Diane Wallace Honest!

Jen Indeed!

C I N D L E I too LOVE when a book is over 500 pages - makes me think the author is thorough and careful to develop their characters and engage the reader in the weavings of an intricate, beautiful plot. I was considering adding this book to my list but think I’ll hold off (for now) after reading your initial assessment of it, Jen.

Could just be me, Cindle. I would suggest you see some other reviews before cutting it off the list. For me, just thinking about it makes me want to hurl it...lol. And that was a few years ago that I initially picked it up!

message 15: by Cheri (new)

Cheri Jen, I could say I'm sorry that you didn't love this one more, but the reality is that you would never have written such a perfect review for a book that you couldn't bear finishing! Loved your review!

Jen Lol thanks Cheri!!
