fucking douchebags .. i tell you... books not even out yet..not even close..now i get why people just pop in 5 stars to block folks like that.. even tho i hate when people 5 star a book before it comes out.. cos they are messing up goodreads ratings.. when they do it.. and they havent read it.. it gets harder to tell what was just a REALLy good read

Jamie *Gypsy Smut-a-teer* I know, I totally agree!

Katsumi Can you please explain to me what was TJ's deal at the end? I am honestly so confused and I've read the ending multiple times trying to figure out what the heck was his big secret. Thank you!

Jamie *Gypsy Smut-a-teer* (view spoiler) lol, now go reread all the parts, that's what I had to do.....

Huh, so basically the reason Cami was so obsessed with keeping TJ and Trenton separate is because she didn't want Trenton to find out that she had been dating his brother? That is SO weird! The only thing I don't really get is why no one else really made a big deal about it or even seemed to care. And how did Trenton not notice? Shaking my head.

Jamie *Gypsy Smut-a-teer* Yeah me and my friends read this together as a buddy read and we all discussed the same thing. Like when he was in town at the college and stuff, or when he came into the bar no one seemed to even act like they knew him. And why was it such a big secret......(view spoiler)in the beginning! when they very first started hanging out together!???why didn't she just tell him.....I say again, lol, why was it a secret. Ya know?

message 29: by Katsumi (new)

Katsumi Same! I also thought he had some sort of secret government job and that's why he couldn't tell her about his work and why he was always so vague and didn't know when he would be able to come home. It actually makes more sense that way, in my opinion lol. I definitely felt that that wasn't a big enough secret to keep from him. I mean, if Trenton was supposedly the love of her life, hiding the fact that she had dated his brother is kind of important... And if Trenton truly loved her he would have been able to get over that. And no matter who she chose, it would have come up at family get-togethers. Lol still an awkward twist overall. It just makes Cami look like a whore and Trenton look dumb for not figuring it out sooner.

Also, I liked what you said about her tattoo. I thought the same thing, I was like, "the hell? Is this girl on drugs?"

Jamie *Gypsy Smut-a-teer* I totally agree about the job. It would've made the whole book make more sense. Everybody in our buddy read thought the same thing about the career too. It's almost like that was used as a cover to throw us off. ?? It may have been a pretty big secret to keep from him if they had like started dating right off and she didn't know how to bring it up or something, but they started out as barely friends, then friends. She should've spilled the beans once they were friends then.

The tattoo thing was soooo weird. I know plenty of girls who spontaneously have gotten tattoos. That's not completely crazy. But for their first ones it's always like on their backs, shoulders, ankles, even on on a foot,.....but (view spoiler) But another thing about it was NOBODY ever mentioned but her dad, once...You would think that would be a HUGE conversation starter everywhere she went. And I know the book wasn't supposed to be wrapped around that, but still.....

message 31: by Katsumi (new)

Katsumi Definitely, it seemed like TJ's secret was this huge, devastating thing, but come on, the truth was bound to come out sometime! I think it was supposed to be a cover, but it was kind of anti-climactic and sort of puzzling haha. The whole situation is something that I would have to go back and re-read to really get it.

Exactly! The position and the choice of the tattoo was just very strange for me. I definitely think that SOMEONE would have mentioned it at least. I mean, I would definitely question the sanity of my family member or friend if they got that tattoo. Her entire situation with her family was unresolved at the end of the book, anyways.

I honestly basically just agree with your entire review. I LOVED Beautiful Disaster, and out of loyalty, I sort of feel like I should love this one too, but it's not quite the same... I was actually disappointed when I started reading and realized that the entire story was just going to be Cami's point of view. If the series is about the Maddox brothers, it would be nice to see it from their points of view as well...

message 32: by Jessica (new)

Jessica B If everyone read the epilogue in Walking Disaster, Thomas was IN FACT in some kind of super-secret federal CIA job...

message 33: by Eileen (new)

Eileen Robinson I agree with you, i felt really let down by this book, i did'nt feel a connection between Cami and Trent and i felt at the end that both Cami and Trent both betrayed Thomas, after all "when a maddox loves he loves forever !"

message 34: by Tianaam_ (new)

Tianaam_ I am the only one who thought (and sorry for the curse words) the actual fuck is wrong with them, this book was so captivating and Trenton Hates tj but finds out it's his brother and is fine with it? Now I'm not saying they should have a punch up but the ending was so confusing I just didn't understand where the normalcy of emotions came about after the torturous months that Trent went through fighting for Cami with this brother
