Turkan Taskin omg, I can't wait until i read this. How is it so far?

message 2: by Emily May (new)

Emily May I haven't actually started yet, lol. But I'll let you know :)

message 3: by Turkan (new)

Turkan Taskin Oh, ok thanks! :)

Faye, la Patata AGREE WITH THIS SO MUCH. I love angst every now and then, but this was overload. And Zeke was pretty much an Allison 2.0 because he was angsting what she was angsting in book 1 and 2, with her angsting about the same things and some new things once more and it was tiiiiiiiiiring. :|

Emily May I know... it was the same old "how can I live with myself as a monster? wah wah" angst. I just wanted to skip over most of those parts :/

Jay Great review

Emily May Thanks, Jay :)

Amie How did you get this book!?

message 9: by Emily May (new)

Emily May It's on netgalley!

message 10: by Amie (new)

Amie Ahh, I've never even heard of that site before! Thank you <3

message 11: by Emily May (new)

Emily May No problem ^_^

message 12: by Jasprit (new)

Jasprit Fab review Emily, I was just writing my review for this book, and we seem to agree on so many points, this for me was the weakest book in the series and Jackal really did make this book for me too! I hope he gets a spin off series!

message 13: by AH (new)

AH Nice review. I loved the book because of Jackal but I do see your points.

message 14: by Emily May (new)

Emily May Thank you, Jasprit :) I really really hope so too... and he's not the angsty type so I think his story could be a lot more fun (and more morally inept ^_^)

I can completely understand that :D

message 16: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie I started thinking in book 2 that I would LOVE a spin-off featuring Jackal. Or Kanin, for that matter. As much as I like Allie, those two are much more interesting than her.

message 17: by Emily May (new)

Emily May Ooh, it would be good to get a spin-off series about Kanin's younger vampire days. I imagine he must have got up to all kinds of mischief.

Actually, there is a short story in 'Til The World Ends that is a sort of prequel to the Blood of Eden series. You may recognize a character in it, though I think he is not named.

Emily May @AH Thanks! I'll check it out :)

@Kyle :( I hope you have a better experience with this, Kyle.

Lexxie (un)Conventional Bookworms Too bad you didn't enjoy this last installment, Emily :( I loved it - thought the characters were true to themselves.
And I would love a spin-off with Jackal!

message 21: by Sa (new)

Sa It's 416 pages long and about 80% of that is about Allison and Zeke's romantic angst.

*grimace*

Not this again!Ugh.I can't stop reading this series because I love Kanin and Jackal way too much.I too think a series about Kanin or Jackal would be fantastic.

It's also, in part, an extremely long meditation on what it means to be a monster and how to be a vampire without choosing to become evil.

Throughout the books we read about how Allie isn't like other vamps and will never stoop to their level and how she rescues everyone all the time etc etc and now we have the same stuff about Zeke?I also think I have a good idea what the climax is.No good news for Kanin's fans right?

message 22: by Chloe (new)

Chloe Kanin is my fave! Cant believe what happens to him!

message 23: by Annika (new)

Annika "i love you vampire girl, and forever is exactly what we have."

message 24: by Miranda (new)

Miranda Vasquez I felt like it was forced and didn't have what made the other two books amazing.

message 25: by Meghan (new)

Meghan I'm currently reading this and I completely agree! I love Jackal but I am getting very tired of Zeke and Allie's relationship moaning.

message 26: by Chloe (new)

Chloe @meghan Ikr and especially when Eke keeps going on and on about him being a vampire! Just suck it up!

message 27: by Meghan (new)

Meghan Exactly!

message 28: by Bethany (new)

Bethany I have to agree it was very angst filled. There never seemed to be a moment without it and it was frustrating, especially since I had such high hopes for this book.
