Cathy DuPont Harry: I read the damned book until it was done and accepted the consequences of it the next day

You're funny...the damned book...glad you liked it, otherwise wouldn't have been worth the consequences, eh?

Ok, you've convinced me, I'll read it, #1 anyway.

Harry haha...I happen to visit the author's site (and it's really interesting how his life mirrors that of Gurney). Verdon too got out of a busy life in NYC (was CEO in advertising copy/writing and escaped to New England, built Shaker furniture for a decade (that too is in the books) moved onto lots of empty acres with his wife. His wife is like Madeleine, except more warmth and physical affection. He talks about the things italicized above, and it's really interesting how he weaves that into his fiction. In any case, enjoy.

Who has the more warmth...Madeleine or his wife? I hope his wife, for his sake!

Thanks for the info...BTW, you look like a slueth in your picture. I like the look.

Kate Roeder Wait. Isn't this exactly what you wrote in your review of Think of a Number?

Back when I wrote this, I did series reviews, Kate, and books in the series received same review. I don't do that anymore. Note the clarification in last line as to this :-)
