Cathy I never could get into Jack London myself, but the first line of your review cracked me up.

Kelli My 9 yr old son is reading this for the 2nd time. You are right!

Betsy Robinson I read this for the first time when I was writing my novel, The Last Will & Testament of Zelda McFigg, and the story became a kind of scaffolding for my character. I cannot believe I waited that long to read it. Good to get a little taste reminder of it by seeing your review, Diane.

Diane Hi Sherri, this is a book I've been meaning to read for years. I'm glad I finally got around to it.

Diane Thanks, Cathy! London's style seemed very Hemingway-esque. This is the only book of his I've read.

Diane Hi Betsy, I didn't know you wrote a novel! That's fantastic - congrats! What a neat idea to use London's structure.

Not really the book's structure but the underpinning of character. (The Last Will & Testament of Zelda McFigg)
