Don't know for sure but maybe August 2012.

Purplegirl Thanks. That would be good :)

Me too, Lisa!

Baba Heller wrote: "Not at all what I was expecting! Interesting!!"

What were you expecting, Heller?

message 7: by Heller (new)

Heller I wasn't expecting Slyvie to know Knight. I was thinking it would be Creed. Sylvie is definitely more badass than her usual heroines. I was laughing when she was all, "I got shit to do." I like that she's different though. I hate the time lag though so we'll see how things go.

I agree, Heller. Love to see her kicking some ass. :-)

Amelia Whoa, that's quick! I've been checking in to Amazon every half hour or so, eagerly anticipating...

message 14: by Michelle (new)

Michelle [Helen Geek] It's on smashwords now.

message 15: by Shelley (new)

Shelley I am so nervous, waiting to see what you think of this.

message 16: by Baba (new)

Baba Just a fair warning. I don't think that I will rate it with 5 stars. I'm 33 % in (no pun intended).

message 17: by Baba (new)

Baba Elizabeth wrote: "Amazon needs to figure things out! I'm about to just suck it up and buy on smashwords! How are you enjoying it now, are you liking Creed and Sylvie?"

So far I don't like Sylvie. I really love kick ass heroines but Sylvie is too crude for my liking. Well, at least I like Creed but I don't love him yet.

message 18: by Bianca (new)

Bianca I didn't really like her when I read the working chapters. At first I thought it was the Hero's POV but when I realized it was the heroine she just came off as too masculine for me. I know people love the kick-butt heroines but for whatever reason I don't.

Then I think you won't be enjoying this book, Bianca. You know my main problem is that she is cussing all the freakin' time. It's all about f*ck here and f*cked up there. Way too crude.

Purplegirl Your "not feeling it" picture is funny:) I am not reading anymore status updates. That way I will stop whining about the book. I just read another status update that made me say to myself, "I am so not reading this book." I am going back to Afflicted. LOL

LOL I still hope it will improve though.
Well, enjoy Afflicted, P!

message 22: by Alie38 (new)

Alie38 LOL! your "not feeling it" can be applied to about 7 books I still have listed as currently-reading. I start to read and give it a chance until about 25%, scream "UHG, not again!" mainly because I don't like the MCs or am bored. I never had so many unfinished books outstanding! thank god, the latest book I am reading and the one before that have kept me completely immersed. I was afraid that I was getting sick of erotica! As for CREED...never heard of it, but I will be on the look-out for your final review.
SIDENOTE; my grandma who was an avid reader use to say that using profanity is a sign of a small vocabulary and ignorance! To bad my favorite word has become "fuck".

JoJo - JJJ (Jo Anna) Janesko Baba I am reading Creed too and I am not loving it either. It is for sure different. Sylvie is okay. I just met Creed

Allie38 I am the same way with my books. I get to about 25% and want to scream. I have a bunch started and unfinshed. I figure if I am going to read for pleasure it might as well be something I enjoy. So I try not to waste my time.

Do we have short mind spans or just good tastes?! LOL ;)

JoJo - JJJ (Jo Anna) Janesko Allie I am gonna go with good tastes. We know what we like and don't want to waste our time. What are you reading?

Did it get better for you, Jo?

message 27: by Mary Beth (new)

Mary Beth Me either. I finished it, but I skimmed a lot for the last half. I just don't think I like two Alphas yelling at each other the whole book. Too much "you get me?", and "get sorted".

message 28: by Purplegirl (new)

Purplegirl I did try. :) I am disappointed. She really should have stayed to the same angle as Knight. But everything can't go the way I want. Lol

JoJo - JJJ (Jo Anna) Janesko Oh bummer Baba I am sorry this one didn't get better for you. I am with Lisa I am loving Creed and Sylvie has gotten a lot better imo. This isn't typical KA style which I have grown to like. It gives us something a bit different from her.

Baba Mary Beth wrote: "Me either. I finished it, but I skimmed a lot for the last half. I just don't think I like two Alphas yelling at each other the whole book. Too much "you get me?", and "get sorted"."

Exactly, Mary Beth. I think that two "badass" MCs can't go hand in hand because there is just too much friction.

I ended up disappointed as well, P. It was a DNF.

Blacky *Romance Addict* Yup Baba, I understand you. I skimmed the book near the end just to finish it.

Baba Lisa wrote: "Good on you for being honest Baba! I'm sorry this one didn't work out for you. That's what I love about reading, we all get different things from the same book. I admit, I'm absolutely loving Creed."

You see the whole day I was thinking about...what will Baba write in her review. It really pains me that I couldn't like/love this book. My main problem was NOT Creed. I will elaborate my issues in my review.

JoJo - JJJ (Jo Anna) Janesko Looking forward to your review.

I'm so sorry it didn't work for you, Baba! As I can see everybody have at least one of KA books that just didn't do it for them. But it always hard to give up the book that you expected to love! Yeah... Looking forward to your full review too. And... one more amazing butt! There's still a thing to live for :)

LOL This manly butt is going to save my day.
About the disappointment: who is counting anyway...*shrugs*

Blacky *Romance Addict* I'm with you on this one Baba. I think this is my least favorite KA, sadly, I loved all the others :( It was just too long, about a 100 pages near the end I was like - omg do I really have to read all of this? so I skipped a bit just to see the end and how it would finish.

message 42: by Kristen (last edited Sep 16, 2012 01:04PM) (new)

Kristen I'm sorry this one didn't work for you, Baba. I'm loving the book now, but I hear you about the swearing. I hate, hate how much Sylvie cusses. I'm not a fan of heroines who use a lot of foul language. I'm not a big fan of swearing tho, so I never know if it's just me that cringes at excessive cursing. Thanks for the honest review, sweetie. You made some valid points.

message 43: by Camille (new)

Camille Adams Good points about sex scenes. Agreed.

message 44: by Nicole (new)

Nicole I feel the exact way. Love your honesty.

Great review, Baba! I can't agree more with your words about the specific button that makes the girlie parts feel hot and bothered. All of it is a gospel truth!

Yeah, it's another f-m disappointment for me. Oh well...*shrugs* You can be sure that I'll be going back to my m-m novels. And I look forward to it. Congrats that you made till the end. You've got stamina, my lovely.

Thanks heaps, sweetie. I'm glad you get me. :)
As you know I didn't particularly like Nina (The Gamble) either. But there was Max. I mean this guy really saved the book and then some. Creed is just too pale to do the same. Even now I have a hard time to process the fact that I'm so disappointed. It kinda ruined my Sunday.

Blacky *Romance Addict* I don't have a single dnf in my list lol. If I get bored I just skip a page or two, scroll till the end just to read it and have a good finish :) and yes, I so totally understand you with the m-m! the one I read yesterday, Warrior's cross, boy, that book had more chemistry bursting at the seams in the first 50 pages that this had in the whole book, and there they haven't even touched each other :O
