Alkyoni its reading order is right after the 4th book of the Night Huntress series, so you'll be fine.

message 2: by Kat Kennedy (new)

Kat Kennedy But what about the first book of the Night Huntress World series?

message 3: by Alkyoni (new)

Alkyoni The reading order goes like this: 4 books from the Night Huntress series, then the 2 books from the Night Huntress World, then books 5 and 6 from the Night Huntress series.

I assume that you've read the First Drop of Crimson?

message 4: by Kat Kennedy (new)

Kat Kennedy No, I haven't. Eternal Kiss of Darkness is on sale though.

message 5: by Alkyoni (new)

Alkyoni .. and you have not, my bad, I thought you meant if it will spoil things for you for books 5 and 6 from the Night Huntress...

Still, you won't be missing anything, you can go ahead and skip the first book of the spin off.

message 6: by Kat Kennedy (new)

Kat Kennedy Yey!

message 7: by Kat Kennedy (new)

Kat Kennedy Also, do you know when Vlad's book is coming out?

message 8: by Alkyoni (new)

Alkyoni according to Frost's website, June 26th 2012. It's gonna be the first book from another spin off, The Night Prince series....

message 9: by Kat Kennedy (new)

Kat Kennedy That's the one I'm holding out for. I'm too scared to read Night Huntress #5.

message 10: by Alkyoni (new)

Alkyoni I know what you're saying, I haven't read it either. I liked the first books but I never was a hardcore fan like many friends of mine were. Reading their 2-3 star reviews for books 5 and 6, I knew that I should just stay away. If it's any consolation, the one that you're about to read was my favorite.

message 11: by archdandy (new)

archdandy Ugh, I can't wait for Vlad's book to come out. I love his character and I think it will be the best one out of her spin off stories.

message 12: by Shelley (new)

Shelley Book 6 was just boring. I don't even remember there being any good sex scenes. It's not that I base my books on that, but it's sort of what this series is known for. I have a feeling Vlad's book won't disappoint. Shit, I better have not just jinxed it. I'll spin around counter clockwise 3 times and knock on wood just in case.

message 13: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie I couldn´t read past the 3rd chapter of the 6th book, she should have ended the series on the 4th book.

message 14: by Kat Kennedy (new)

Kat Kennedy I haven't read past book four. I found the plot too much of a stretch and people's comments regarding the 5th book put me off.

message 15: by Lissa (new)

Lissa I haven't read the spin offs so I was pretty confused when I cracked open Book 6 and a lot had happened that I'd missed out on, despite being a dedicated Night Huntress reader.

IMO spin offs shouldn't have major plot points in them that continue in the actual book series.

It annoyed me.

message 16: by Kat Kennedy (new)

Kat Kennedy I would agree, Lissa. That is how I generally feel. Though I have to admit... kind of excited for Vlad's book on Tuesday...

message 17: by Lissa (new)

Lissa Meh. I'm not really into Vlad. I like Mencheres after he becomes bad-ass and I really like Cat and Bones.

message 18: by Kat Kennedy (new)

Kat Kennedy Noooooo, you don't like Vlad?! I love Vlad, I think he's my favourite.

message 19: by Lissa (new)

Lissa Nope, not particularly into him. Can't remember why, though.

message 20: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie I didn´t like Mencheres till I read his book. I like Vlad but not I´m no longer that excited to read it as I once was

message 21: by Kat Kennedy (new)

Kat Kennedy I REALLY liked Once Burned. Much better than this one.
