Ncengprf Thanks for this--I just wish I had seen it before I read the first three sections of the book.

Kallie I found the thesis for this book (regional American characteristics based on migrants' regional British characteristics) fresh, compelling and well-argued. Could you give examples of the giant leaps and tenuous information and sweeping conclusions? I am also curious to know what you do like. I might enjoy what you enjoy too because like you, part of my background is in anthropology. But it's hard to tell (from this critique) what you consider worth reading.

Joe Keefhaver Agree with Kallie.
