Kerry Zukus Did you attempt traditional publishing? This is certainly good enough, and should have attracted an agent and publisher. Will check out the sequel.

Very early on in my career I did, and found the prospect immensely frustrating. I know a number of authors who all pointed out I'd have to do just about the same amount of work being traditionally published as indie, and this way I'd get to control the story. There are pitfalls, sure, but I'm glad I went indie. I think my work is unique enough that it'd take a brave publisher with vision to work with me, and most publishers wouldn't ever be classified as brave.
