Charlotte Guzman I have been reading Jodi Picoult for years and this one is one of my favorites of hers. I always love her books because they challenge me as she takes controversial subjects and makes you think " What would I do?" I am so glad you enjoyed this one. "My Sister's Keeper" is another favorite of mine.

Brina Charlotte, thank you. I couldn’t pinpoint the word— challenge people to think about controversial subjects even when writing isn’t going to win awards. I’ll have to read My Sister’s Keeper when I get a chance.

Barbara Wow, Sage has a real moral conundrum. Nice review Brina. 🙂

Brina Sage really does. Thank you, Barbara.

Angela M Brina, great review. I think you perfectly describe the thing that Picoult does with bringing controversial topics to our attention.

Tammy Terrific review, Brina! I’m not a Picoult reader. I find her to be formulaic but I did enjoy your review

Brina Picoult does bring controversial topics to a lot of readers. Tammy, I’ll need to read one more to see if it’s formulaic but then again a lot of authors tend to be formulaic if they see what works gets them published.

Cheri Great review, Brina, I haven't read all of her books, but I have read more than a few, and this is my favourite of hers. I'm glad you enjoyed this one!

Brina Thank you Cheri. It seems like a mixed bag with this author although that is any author. I will be reading more of her books when I have the time.

Chris Wonderful review. Some say her books are formulaic, but I think most are quite thought-provoking wrapped in easy reading.

Brina Chris and that was exactly what I needed this week as I battled a virus in bed. Nothing that required advanced thinking. I was glad to have read this one.

Mike I thought this was one of the better of Picoult's books that I have read and I recall being thrown for a total loop in the last three pages that made me like it even more.

Wonderful review, Brina!!

Brina Thank you , Mike. I agree about the end. The story held my attention and was fast moving. It served its purpose for when I was reading it and would read another of Picoult’s books in a similar situation.
