Jess Nnedi Okorafor is also writing a new comic series about Black Panther's Shuri! I AM SO STOKED. This is the perfect match! https://www.tor.com/2018/07/18/nnedi-...

Eilonwy I need to read more Nnedi Okorafor. I saw the sequel to Akata Witch at my library recently, but it's been so long since I read the first one, I need to carve out time to read both of them.
These Binti books sound nice and short! Sometimes I'd like to be left wishing for more.

Amy I'm kind of glad these are so short. I feel like "Who Fears Death" got way too bogged down in randomness, but these are just flying buy and staying strong throughout.

Debra Wanting more is a great complaint to have! Glad you enjoyed it!

MischaS_ My only complaint is that I just want more! pretty sure that the author would love that complaint! :D

OMG!!! I am all over that!! She is perfect for writing the story - these books are short-ish and yet still deliver a ton of information and a great plot. I bet with illustrations she can take it next-level with Shuri. So, so awesome! Thanks for letting me know!

These are my first Nnedi Okorafor books, but I think they are just long enough to have a solid plot, but still so short that you wish you could read more about Binti's backstory/time spent on the ship/time spent with other characters/world building history etc.

I think these shorties are great though, and the audiobook narrator is lovely too fyi

I haven't read her other works, but I definitely agree that these are really strong and fly by!

Exactly! Not a terrible thing at all.
