Diane Wallace Nice review, Emily!

message 2: by Monique (new)

Monique V if this series was an adult series it would be out of this world!!

message 3: by Marsha (new)

Marsha Zakia Can't wait to see your new video about this book soon!!!

message 4: by ♡ Dakota ♡ (new)

♡ Dakota ♡ (Sarcasm is my middle name) That settles it! Emily agrees the hype is real on a YA Fantasy Novel. This means I must get it

message 5: by Joanna (new)

Joanna The romance was an awful insta-love and it really pulled the book down for me. That and the character development. But otherwise I did enjoy it!

message 6: by Ella (new)

Ella G your reviews are always nice and short, and most importantly very honest. found many books thanks to your reviews.

message 7: by Veronique (new)

Veronique This is exactly how I thought of the book
The romances were so insta love and not really character build

message 8: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer J. As long as the romance doesn’t take over the plot I’m good 👌

message 9: by Cristina (new)

Cristina Really? I was hesitant to read this because I get disappointed so often with YA, but I trust you so I'll give it a try!

message 10: by hannah (new)

hannah I'm finishing this book now and I totally agree re: the romance. It was the thing that held back the story for me, but I love the world and the magic system.

message 11: by Haley (new)

Haley Nixt I had literally the exact same reaction. Take out the main characters love interest (like his character as a whole honestly) and the story would have been 5 stars for me.

message 12: by Darth Vix (new)

Darth Vix Totally trust your opinion so I can’t wait to read this!

message 13: by Kim (new)

Kim I wasn’t going to read this any time soon but well now I’m here thinking “Well, if Emily liked it...” 😆 I’m going to give another book you recommended a go first and then we’ll see.

message 14: by Putri (new)

Putri Sari Couldn't agree more. I just thought the romance was unnecessary and a bit weird.
But other than that, I loved it.

message 15: by Aqsa (On Hiatus) (new)

Aqsa (On Hiatus) I'm looking forward to this one!

message 16: by Amanda (new)

Amanda Only got through this by skimming. The pacing issues and cliches made it almost impossible to enjoy.

message 17: by Carla (new)

Carla Ramirez This is still a must read for me! The whole synopsis is just amazing

message 18: by Courtney (new)

Courtney I️ thought I️ was the only on. I️ HATE ROMANCE. ESPECIALLY IN YA.

message 19: by Marlou (new)

Marlou I'm so glad more people had issues with the romance plot. I was afraid I was the only one who wanted to put the book away because of that. And great review, Emily! :)

message 20: by Griselda (new)

Griselda ooph, YA romances are not always good. How do you think this one faired out?

message 21: by Melisa (new)

Melisa Peterson Lewis I thought the romance between 2 characters helped us see the internal struggle for at least one of the main characters. I don't want to give any spoilers, hope I'm not being too vague.
