This is a tough read, glad the very worst comes first (the illustrations in the first part, "Inferno" are horrific. I've thumbed through pictures from the next two sections: those will be more pleasant reads.

I read this book about forty years ago. enjoy reading.
This is stupendously imaginative! Those 34 cantos on Inferno were relentlessly horrible and inventive!
@AhmadSharabiana is there more to get out of reading each book individually or would you say this one book is just as good a way to read it?

Thanks for your wonderful review. I have just finished reading INFERNO for the second time. I only have a limited understanding of Italian (good understanding of French) but where I could follow it, the Italian of Dante soars! Is Purgatorio better? I like INFERNO but I think it's going to leave me with nightmares.

Thanks for your wonderful review. I have just finished reading INFERNO for the second time.
