Ned Keep an eye on Woodward and Bernstein today, they are wary.

Lilo That's the way I see it too. Comparing the Watergate scandal to the Trump presidency seems to me like comparing gastritis to stomach cancer.

This presidency is certainly one that will inspire many books both during and after. I guess only time will tell how things unravel. But given what we've seen, I can't imagine that this won't be the Watergate of the 21st Century. Not 100% sure if Trump knowingly colluded, but think he has indeed lied and obstructed justice. Also, would bet he is guilty of financial crimes that will likely come out as collateral damage.

Whitewater is responsible for uncovering Bill Clinton's indiscretions. The Benghazi investigation unleashed the email scandal. Whitewater was a 700,000 land deal gone wrong. Benghazi at best questionable decision making, at worst a true "witch hunt." Still the investigations led to other accusations/"crimes."

Given Trump's past shady dealings on record, imagine his closet is piled high with rank skeletons, some with rotted flesh still decaying. The man doesn't have a ounce of morality or sense of civic duty. He has and will bend and break any system to get what he wants, the illusion of success.

Exactly. That's what it felt like.

Lilo And there is something else: The facial expressions, body language, way of talking, and even many of the hairdos (for instance those of Trump's sons) of "all the new President's men" remind me so much of those of Hitler's henchmen and local SS guys. And the arrogant attitude of "the new President's women" (from Trump's daughter Ivanka and other female White House pests down to Trump's female rally cheerers) is so very similar to the female Nazis who surrounded us during the Third Reich. My family called these disgusting, fervent female Nazis "Naziweiber" ("Nazi broads"). So what shall we call Trump's "henchwomen", brainless admirers, and rally-hailers?
