booklady '...something that seems to be missing today...' I think it is not just the leaders. The leaders reflect the citizenry. The world--especially the First World--as a whole is lacking in morality. It crosses all borders, political parties, economic strata, races, religions (although there are individual churches which live what they preach) geographical areas (although there are also pockets where more or less morality prevails) and gender.

And then I stop watching the news for awhile and start reading more and I think the world today is about the same as it is always been, with a mixture of bad and good. The difference today is we have the technology to spread things (like news) to more people faster than ever before. And bad news sells better than good news. So who can say? Just my $.02 bl

booklady Maybe. I don't know. Some days I think I know a little something and then the next day, or hour, I am sure I know absolutely nothing. (sigh) So I say another prayer and pick up another book hoping this wise author knows something. ;) bl
