RK-ïsme I read this with great admiration Roy. A wonderful review for a book which I shall be adding to my to-read list. To be read sometime in the unforeseeable future after I have finished reading “Miguel de Cervantes: La Conquista de la Ironía” by Jordan’s Gracia. It’s a slow read for me but informative and entertaining.

Fionnuala I read this twice! You present Unamuno’s argument very clearly. All in all, it’s a very satisfying piece, especially for those of us who revere Don Quixote, but with a smile on our faces.

Thanks very much! I hadn't heard of that Gracia book, but it looks interesting. I look forward to your review.

Thanks! Yes, I agree it's very satisfying, although for me it was often extremely difficult. My Spanish is still not quite there yet.

Fionnuala It was your review that I read twice and that was satisfying to read for DQ fans. I haven’t read any Unamuno.

Ahhh, well thanks twice! And I recommend Unamuno, he's a fascinating writer!
